Quran Big Bang or BIG BLUNDER! Surah 21:30

Quran, Big Bang, or BIG BLUNDER!
According to the Quran Surah 2130, the heavens and the earth were 1 unit, then allah tore them apart.
Wrong! The earth was not pre-existent
You don't even need to study science to work that one out
Secondly if that was true, hypothetically, the earth would have been blown to smithereens!
We would not exist today!!!

heaven and earth
or
matter and light?
Your understanding of l-ari as exclusively and solely planet earth is childish and flawed. Would God be claiming to be the Lord of the heavens and ONLY planet earth? Would God be claiming to only have created planet earth and not the moon?
Think again. You're smart enough to see why an interpretation of "planet earth" is painfully wrong.
Earth in Quranic context is always referring to matter. All matter in the universe.
In the early stages of big bang, the entire universe was transparent. Energy was matter and light at the same time. Only in later stages did matter become distinct from light. This is what Quran is talking about.
-
Well, the "Universe" was one singularity like a core that started expanding and is still expanding. Asem is a word for an attributable origin. Ardh means literally what is visible. The world was not always visible but came into existence in a way man can probably not explain, but Quran says the "flesh"/cover, the mass, is made from energy (the Arabic uses light or heat). It is scientifically correct. If you disintegrate an atom you will have a discharge of energy, clearly visible in a strong emission of light. Also "burning" matter (heat) causes light.
Quran is not so bad on that account actually but is into basic Quantum Physics. It is way more scientifically advanced than the Bible. If you have a silly text in Quran you have to blame the one who interpreted it and not the author.
When what is visible is gone, no science is worth anything anymore as the limits will be gone.

Big Blunder for sure!

Peace.
The blunder is the understanding of what GOD is saying.GOD is saying the "The samawat and the earth" were a singularity and after the big bang and the millions of years ...the were formed separately along with the billions of stars,planets...etc. into the universe you see now.
GOD talks specifically about the earth because it was designed to be the only habitable planet that is why the verse contains " Wa jaalna mena almaa kulla chaain haii" . And that is why the earth was singled out from all the other planets and stars and...
GOD bless you.

Again the same old narrow-minded interpretation of arda makes people misunderstand. Soil, matter is the more broad understanding over the narrowminded planet earth.

The matter that makes up the heaven and the Earth were literally present in there according to the Big Bang theory, there is no problem even.
The blunder is that the Mushrik doesn't wrastle with me.

runninglikezebras is right here. ardh refers to matter or so to say "The (visible) world" as one can literally interpret ardh.
We use it for our planet because it is long rooted with us before we knew that one could go to the outer space, but it ought to incorporate all matter.
Be well

Well, the "Universe" was one singularity like a core that started expanding and is still expanding.
Isn't this fascinating realizing Quran had this right since at least the 7th century. This while physicist Albert Einstein believed that the universe was static until 1931.
In 1917 Einstein applied his theory of general relativity in the universe, and suggested a model of a homogenous, static, spatially curved universe. However, this interpretation has one major problem If gravitation was the only active force, his universe would collapse ? an issue Einstein addressed by introducing the cosmological constant.
He then fiercely resisted the view that the universe was expanding, despite his contemporaries' suggestions that this was the case. For example, in 1922, Russian physicist Alexander Friedman showed that Einstein's equations were viable for dynamical worlds. And, in 1927, Georges Lema?tre, a Belgian astrophysicist from the Catholic University of Louvain, concluded that the universe was expanding by combining general relativity with astronomical observations. Yet, Einstein still refused to abandon his static universe.
However, in an April 1931 report to the Prussian Academy of Sciences, Einstein finally adopted a model of an expanding universe. In 1932 he teamed up with the Dutch theoretical physicist and astronomer, Willem de Sitter, to propose an eternally expanding universe which became the cosmological model generally accepted until the middle of the 1990s. To Einstein's relief these two models no longer needed the cosmological constant.Peace

Shalom Aleikhem,
I don't like the way people just ignore the words the author used and goes straight into speculation. Here is the verse
2130
2130 Have those who rejected not seen that the heavens and the earth were one piece, so We split them apart? And that We have made from the water everything that lives. Will they not believe?= The heavens
= and the earth
= joined entity
= then we parted them
From PRL
Siin-Miim-Waw = to be high/lofty, raised, name, attribute. samawat - heights/heavens/rain, raining clouds. ismun - mark of identification by which one is recognised. It is a derivation of wsm (pl. asma). ism - stands for a distinguishing mark of a thing, sometimes said to signify its reality.
Alif-Ra-Dad = To rotate, bring forth herbs abundantly. Land abundant, fruitful, productive, luxuriant with herbage. Place for alighting or abiding. To tarry, await, expect, be patient. "Earth, as opposed to heaven and the ground, as meaning the surface of the earth, on which we tread, and sit, and lie". Good land. Remain, fixed, tarry in expectation . Heavy, slow, sluggish, inclining, or propending to the ground. Submissive. A carpet, anything that is spread. A tremor, vertigo arising from a relaxed state. Wood-fretter, termite.
Ra-Ta-Qaf = to close, be joined together. ratqan - closed up, single entity.
Fa-Ta-Qaf = to cleave asunder, split, break, disjoin, disunite, rend apart.
How the hell does one go from there to heaven is light? How does one say that the author is talking about a singularity? You can join 2 things together, their amalgamation can qualify as a joined entity. They do not have to become one and the same thing for that.
All it says is heaven and earth were one and then separated by God. The biggest trouble with that, besides earth being not present back then(not even matter existed back then), is that space and matter/earth/whatever are not separate now!!! Matter exists IN space! The big bang model and general commonsense tells you that all matter you see are occupying space. They have never been separated from space. Therefore it makes no sense to say that the author was talking about the expansion of the singularity.
It is extremely dishonest to twist your tongue to this point. Especially when you believe that this book has been authored by a God that doesn't take kindly to twisting your tongue with his words (37.
