The underlined part clearly implies that at least one of the previous options mentioned does not involve fasting/abstinence. Thus your understanding below does not seem to fit

Hmm.. actually no evidence. That is because the word 'Ramadhaan' is used only once in alQuraan. And if you are seeking evidence from other sources, sorry I personally don't take them as evidence, so cannot quote. I asked Allah to help me understand this word and He guided me to this meaning.

Also I see it does not contradict with the topic. In fact, it fits perfectly.

According to your logic, since in 1926 Mary spoke, speaking has nothing to do with sawm/abstinence. In any case, if you disagree, this subject was discussed in some detail here

Brother speaking is different than communicating. She spoke/said that today I will not communicate with any human.

are instructed/allowed to compensate/make up for these days during another time.
Those who are ill or on a journey and can't afford to fast,
are instructed/encouraged to feed a homeless person, by paying a ransom, if they can afford it .

Good answers. Yet if two people differ in their religion, are they really brothers? They may share the same ancestor, but they might be worlds apart.

I think that you and mm probably share a relatively similar religion though.

I would dread being a brother to one in deep error though, except for the genetic ties of course.

Well it is in the same nature as my being slightly annoyed by all the insincere seeming "peace, peace" and well wishing followed by insults. You guys didn't do that to each other maybe as far as I've read but I mean in other cases. I just noticed "brother" being thrown about lots suddenly, and I wonder about the sincerity in such statements.

Many of you I consider defilers and corrupt, like promoting to each other the abandonment of formal worship and other things, or lying to each other, sometimes with "plausible discourse" or "fancy words" as the Qur'an mentions some people doing. The intentions may be good, but nevertheless, an enemy to me is someone who knowingly or unknowingly is set about in a harmful manner, spreading harmful things.

In that respect, I find that I have no well wishes for evildoers, nor do I really consider them my brethren, as they seem more akin to Satan and of his ilk instead (who they often don't even believe in).

Even so, I would likely offer kindness and things to them, as I do to possibly worse disbelievers and corrupt people in my daily life (just the general availability of whoever is around).

Though, overtly evil people are perhaps not even as evil as the "hypocrites" according to the mainstream interpretations of the Qur'an, who receive the worst penalty of them all. I define "hypocrite" in the Qur'anic usage as those who claim to be Muslim but actually are not (and this may include people who still think they are, but spread lies and corruption or try to turn people away from prayers in a genuine effort). For them is deemed the worst punishment of all.

In my case, wishing people peace would simply be a lie. I do wish that people would listen to me, but like some of the Prophets seemed to have, there is quite a bit of malice I have towards rude and evil people and I don't really wish anything good for them, in fact I hate them quite a bit and wish for their utter demise if they don't repent (kind of like how God might intend perhaps?).

So I don't mind you two calling each other brothers or wishing peace on each other, though I often find it rather insincere and mechanical on this website in many cases, and it may be that you two really are brothers in more ways than one, and may be sharing a similar home in the afterlife, be it good or bad.

The real estate options are generally limited though, Hellfire or Paradise.

I don't do much that anyone could really claim that hellfire is my destiny, though I have no guarantee of paradise either really and God is all powerful and I may be deeply astray in all my actions and demonstrations of compassion and charity and worship.

Yet in the case of you guys, like I mentioned, you've left off the prayers and many other things, and even go so far as promoting the leaving off of such things, then to top it off are often quite rude, even to people like myself, and its possible the list of crimes continue, and then to top it off may be adding with insincere calls of peace and brotherhood while making mischief, even inadvertently.

So of course, I don't know if hell is your destiny or mine, and we're all working for what we are working for, but I think you would be better off following me than where your own thinking has taken you so far.

Of course, that will likely be a request denied, and may or may not to be denied to your own detriment.

Perhaps a better greeting may be, "May hell be the home of all evilness" or something.
