      Peace,

I wouldn't presume to speak for God, so I can only answer that some of my friends concluded that such union is quranically sound, while some others do not. In the end, maybe it all comes down to interpretations and personal inclinations.

      Thanks,
      Adley

I think this is what will happen "in the end" => (in other words to settle this issue)

2778 Surely your Lord will judge between them by His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing.

          Peace all,

I was glad they finally legalized it.
On the other hand, I don't think homophobia will cease.
Laws don't have such a power.
Just take a look at the condition african americans.
How long has it been since they abolished slavery ?

            Hannibal,

It was at the end of Abraham Lincolns life before his murder in the mid 1800's. The exact year of the murder and abolishment I cannot recall. I think Lincoln was murdered in the 1860's right after the end of the Civil War. It was mainly due to disappointment about the abolishment that Lincoln was murdered.

            Be well

Perhaps it will cease at the end of the world (the Doomsday).

I think it might continue, with people looking down at the people in hell and saying "they were homosexuals"

A thing will never be abolished except as God wills.

People can make all kinds of laws against evil, but evil continues.

I believe homosexuals should be able to marry and whatever, because America is a secular and moreover deeply vile and corrupt nation, so trying to act pious suddenly is just ridiculous for them.

They should make legal all their vileness, and then say "look, there is no crime!"

I was (trying to be) sarcastic by saying it has been long enough (2 decades as you mentioned) since slavery was abolished and still the condition of african americans in the USA is still very hard. Thus, legalizing gay marriage won't by magic end discrimination against gay people.

Ok. Sorry, Hannibal. I did figure that maybe you were not serious, but I brought my answer anyway.

The situation for gays is better than it once was, but obviously there is still a lot to be desired in ways of amnesty for those individuals. It is often religious nutjobs who drive this hatred towards these people and families with low education and traditional values.

It is hard for me to express myself lacking deep insight into the brainworks of a homosexual, but many if not most are born with this attraction innately and cannot be helped. Yet if it was a sin it is up to the person to deal with the question him or herself without being mistreated. It seems like that you were going to say to a heterosexual man or woman that you are no longer allowed to have your current gender identity but need to play another.

Regarding being flirted with by other men is a bit uncomfortable though, but probably because it feels wrong. I know cases where the gay has flirted with the wrong guy and gotten beaten up. I would not though. I am not homophobic, but I suppose you can understand me.

                        Be well

No harm taken brother Man of Faith.

As to my fellow human beings brothers and sisters, I respect them no matter the attributes they did not choose (gender, sexual identity, sexual orientation, skin color..) and the ones they do choose (political views, religion, philosophical opinions..) group

In the end, God is the only Judge and one must not have the pretence of knowing what is reserved for everyone of us.

On a side note, do you often get hit on ? D

                          May God guide us all

What do you think that might happen to non gay people who happily support homosexuality and/or who call other people as 'homophobes'?

Do you have any thought about what might happen to them in the hereafter perhaps?

Those who oppose Allah by "discreet" could be more disgusting than those who oppose Allah aggressively - (my personal opinion currently).

I think there are such people - who seem to have ability to make "something right appears wrong", and make "something wrong appears right" in elegant manner.

Man of Faith brought up an interesting point about "many if not most are born with this attraction innately."
This could probably be explained by studies that homosexuality may start in the womb

                                    Salaam,

No human is born with sexual orientation, but born with the genetic programming to manufacture and release certain hormones in time that fuel sexuality. As for the orientation, that develops with the individual's psychological development around puberty.

People get turned on by animals too. It's not normal. All you rainbow fans should recognize that these people don't need the encouragement to follow their unnatural lust (fed as equal rights to them) but help.

A study of nature actually forced me to rethink what is normal. That's why I shifted position.

                                        2754-56
AND Lot, when he said unto his people ?Would you commit this abomination with your eyes open
What! do you indeed approach men lustfully rather than women? Nay, you are a people who act ignorantly.
But his people?s only answer was this ?Expel Lot?s followers from your township! Verily, they are folk who make themselves out to be pure!?

But his people gave no other answer but this they said, "Drive out the followers of Lut from your city these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!"

                                        2757
Thereupon We saved him and his household - all but his wife, whom We willed to be among those that stayed behind -

Haha, pretty cool you ended up implying something similar! Amazing!

? Rainbow is not gay ?

All you rainbow fans should recognize that these people don't need the encouragement to follow their unnatural lust (fed as equal rights to them) but help.

                                          I like rainbow,

but it doesn't mean that I support something which is prohibited by my Lord.

I prefer to view the word "rainbow" as its true meaning rather than as symbol for certain group.

To be precise, I am not among those who encourage homosexuality nor I want to support it.
