Are we on earth because of Adam?

Exactly, and simply, sin is not the correct translation of the words, it is a Christian concept of the Quranic meesage. Allah is Ghafour, the Protector. The Quran is very clear, no deed will be forgotten and so every deed will count, so the concept of forgiveness is denied by the Quran, INSTEAD the Quran promotes compensation 11114, and not to God, but to Mankind. Allah is without needs. Same counts for translating Rahman with merciful, this is a western concept, in Arabic it comes closer to "providing as a womb without making distinction".

You shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) at both ends of the day, and during the night. The righteous works wipe out the evil works. This is a reminder for those who would take heed.
Can you please explain how the verse promotes compensation to mankind?

Quran says adam was in heaven.
Qur'an says Adam was in a garden (Jannah).
I think a lot of people would gladly show that Jannah refers to earthly places too in the Qur'an. My pick would be the story of the two garden-owners.
why are we here, because of Adam?
Why are we here? Um, because humans as part of the living world has always been on earth.

Peace 2Pac,

Life-A Struggle,
Life is a constant struggle against forces hostile to it -forces hostile to itforces which would destroy it if they were not successfully opposed. In the external environment, there are wide variations in temperature. Sometimes it is too cold for man, sometimes it is too hot. Homeostatic mechanisms in the body usually keep the body temperature at the normal level. Without them, the human body will burn or freeze to death. Again, the body is assailed by a. variety of pernicious germs which tend to destroy it. As long as man lives, he keeps up the fight against these destructive forces. The struggle ceases only with death. It is, however, not only on the physical plane that the struggle is carried on. On the moral plane too, he has to struggle against forces of destruction which would disintegrate and disrupt his self. Here the problem is more difficult and complicated, as the self has to contend with the destructive forces of the external world as well as the impulses of debasing animality which rise in manif not checked.
Man naturally looks around for help as he very often finds it difficult to keep the enemy at bay. The Divine Guidance in the Quran offers man effective help in the moral struggle. This help is given according to a definite programme. The first part of the programme may be characterised and prophylactic. It helps man to guard himself against both the open and insidious attacks of destructive forces. This form of help is termed Maghfirah in the Quran. Ghafrun means "to cover" and Mighfar, which is derived from it means the helmet which protects the head of the warrior from the blows of the enemy. The Quran protects the human self just as effectively from the blows of destructive forces. Man quails when he finds himself facing the formidable array of the forces of destruction. He begins to weaken and to give way to despair. The Divine programme prevents him from yielding to batil by replenishing his store of moral energy and by inspiring faith in his heart that the haqq, though weak at the moment, will finally, prevail over batil. Many may feel defenceless against the forces of batil but when the Divine Revelation has instilled in his heart Iman and courage, he enters the arena with renewed confidence and hope.
This is how the first part of the programme helps him. The second part, Taubah, in the terminology of the Quran, is curative. Many may have yielded to batil and may have followed the wrong path. Even then, the Quran says, their case is not hopeless. Taubah offers them a sure remedy. Taubah is derived from the root Taba which means to return. Taubah, therefore does not mean vain regret or futile remorse. It means that when man realises that he has been following the wrong path, he should have the courage to stop and retrace his steps. In this sense Taubah means heart-searching, reappraisal of the situation and re-assessment of the policy he has been following. Suppose a man suddenly realises that the path he has been following is taking him farther away from his real goal. If he is wise, he will not merely sit down and give himself up to unrestrained grief. It will resolutely hasten back to his starting point and when he has reached it, he will, after due deliberation, choose a new path. Taubah, on the moral plane, represents the same sensible way of acting. But Taubah has in it an ingredient of Divine help. The man who has realized his mistake and is eager to rectify it, is not left to his own resources. Unstinted Divine help is given to him in the shape of Divine guidance which never errs. Otherwise, the sense of having wasted his time and the feelings of uncertainty about the results of his further efforts will weigh heavily on him and will hamper his efforts to regain the right path.
The Divine help, the concomitant of Taubah, refreshes and re-invigorates him so that he acts with re-doubled energy. In short, Maghfirah assists a man in warding off the blows of shaar, but when he is hit, Taubah helps to repair the damage done. It should be need that Taubah is not a passive act of regret ; it is positive effort at restoration of the lost position, with regeneration of energy born out of hope and confidence. Taubah is not merely withdrawal from what was destructive ; it is the annulment of its consequences. Says the Quran.
Lo, good deeds annul ill deeds (11114)
Taubah thus fortifies the constructive forces in man and enables them to repair the damage to the self, which was caused by his destructive deeds. The Quran assures man that if he does not surrender himself to sharr on the big issues, his paltry lapses will not be permitted to impede his progress to his goal.
And if ye avoid the great things which ye are forbidden, We will remit from your lapses and make you enter a noble gate (432)
Since the constructive results of your noble deeds outweigh the destructive consequences of your lapses.

Are we on earth because of Adam?
No, you are on Earth because of God. God created Adam out of the mud of the Earth and Adam was on Earth, made of it. The Earth was already created before Adam was created and a "viceroy for the Earth" was created, that was Adam.
From Adam, then God created his mate Eve, it is said. Then from then both came the human race, and we are thus called "Children of Adam" and Adam and Eve are referred to as our "parents" and it is indeed scientifically true that we all have a common ancestry and share in the same lineage going back to the beginning.
The tree incident seems to be a demonstration set up to expose the tactics of Satan in order to warn humankind. It isn't that "things went wrong" because nothing "slips" out of God's grasp, nor is there any error. Any calamity is decreed by God and brought into existence by God alone, the whole story is God's creating.
You suffer, and that suffering is due to God, as are all the varieties of "justice" or "injustice" that people perceive, even their "laughter and tears". You haven't had a single thought even that wasn't put there and created by God alone.
The answer to all questions is "God does whatever God wills". God can twist your meaning of "justice" and can do any number of things, we are completely helpless before God and God's decisions.
That is why the only option is Surrender. Surrendering to the realization that there is no one to help us against God, and to hope and pray and act in such a way as to try to gain the best we can for ourselves and avoid suffering as much as possible.

Regards,
ArmanI was just referring to this thing
41 "O MANKIND! Be conscious of your Sustainer, who has created you out of one living entity, and out of it created its mate, and out of the two spread abroad a multitude of men and women. And remain conscious of God, in whose name you demand from one another, and of these ties of kinship. Verily, God is ever watchful over you!"
but if that is just trying to match it up to the Bible too much, there was scientifically a single ancestor for all lifeforms and humans, and even if we imagine both are then created out of some common material, but it seemed at least that Adam came first, though in at least one part of the Bible it seems to say both of them together.
The idea that men and women are totally separate creations might actually not be too helpful philosophically, whereas even scientifically it can be said its likely there was one from which its mate emerged.

Salaam brother Arman
And marriage of brother with his sister, both born to Adam and Eve, is called incest.
RegardsSo what is your solution? Aren't you aware that scientifically incest did occur for the propagation of humans? Are you imagining after Adam a whole bunch of other people were individually created so that there are all these different lineages or what?

Salaam Freedomstands.
Thanks for the clarification. Eve being created out of Physical body of Adam is rather fanciful interpretation from 41.
This is how I would translate the verse41 O! Mankind ? be conscious of your Master who created you from a single soul (Nafs/ Prakriti ?) and created from it - its mate (Rooh/ Purusha ?) and dispersed from them many fellows and women, and be conscious of Allah (by) whom you ask for it and the wombs. Indeed Allah happens to be Vigilant over you.
(My personal translation, cross checking is recommended.)
I see similarity of the above statement with the below?
Prakriti is My lower form of energy. My other higher energy is the Purusha by which this entire universe is sustained, O Arjuna. (7.05)
Know that all creatures have developed from this twofold energy, and Brahman is the origin as well as the end of the
entire universe. (See also 13.26) (7.06)There is nothing higher than Me, the Supreme Being, O Arjuna. Everything in the universe is linked with Me like
different jewels are linked with the thread in a necklace. (7.07)O Arjuna, I am the juiciness in the water, I am the glow in the sun and the moon, the sacred syllable OM in all the
Vedas, the sound in the space, and the manhood in men. (7.0I am the sweet scent in the earth. I am the heat in the fire, the life in all living beings, and the sense-purification (or
Tapa, austerity) in yogis. (7.09)O Arjuna, know Me to be the eternal seed of all creatures. I am the intelligence of the intelligent, and the brilliance of
the brilliant. (See also 9.18 and 10.39) (7.10)? ? ?
Know that Prakriti and Purusha are both beginningless and endless; and also know that all expansions and Gunas arise
from the Prakriti. (13.19)The Prakriti is said to be the cause of production of physical body and organs of perception and action. The Purusha
(or the consciousness) is said to be the cause of experiencing pleasures and pains. (13.20)The Purusha (Spirit) associates with Prakriti (or matter) and enjoys the Gunas of Prakriti. Attachment to the Gunas
(due to ignorance caused by previous Karma) is the cause of the birth of Jeevtm in good and evil wombs. (13.21)The Supreme Spirit inside the body is also called the witness, the guide, the supporter, the enjoyer, and the great
Lord or Ishvara. (13.22)They who fully understand Purusha and Prakriti with its Gunas are not born again regardless of their mode of life.
(13.23)Some perceive God in the heart by the intellect through meditation; others by the yoga of knowledge; and others by
the yoga of work (or Karma-yoga). (13.24)Some do not understand Brahman at all. But having heard of God from others, they perform deity worship with faith
and devotion. They also go beyond birth and death due to their devotion and firm faith to what they have heard. (13.25)(from Bhagavad Gita, translation by Gita Society @ http//www.gita-society.com/.)
Do you see any connection?
So what is your solution? Aren't you aware that scientifically incest did occur for the propagation of humans? Are you imagining after Adam a whole bunch of other people were individually created so that there are all these different lineages or what?
Don't tell me you never heard of the theory of evolution. Per my understanding theory of evolution perfectly reconciles
- mankind being created from clay.
- all creatures being created from water
- humans being created from clot of blood
- all above claims from Qur'an.
May Allah guide us all to the straight route.

Regards,
ArmanOh yeah, no doubt, but Novice seemed to be rejecting the idea that there was incest in human history because it is found to be dangerous and distasteful now, but I was saying that early humans and their ancestors had to have mated with their close relatives and within their own direct relatives and there was much in-breeding, and I think scientists would agree. I wasn't trying to say anything against evolution, just that incest seems necessary even in that system as something which very likely had to occur. Otherwise one might be suggesting somehow that there were other creations being created and all that.
I don't mind the more metaphysical or mystical interpretation, all I was talking about was the usual idea that there was one that divided into two, and most people say that was Adam and from Adam came Eve, in whatever sense, that it was one that became two, or one and then its mate from it, or whatever. If it didn't happen that way I don't care much and I apologize if I've said anything wrong really.

Right and wrong on matters like this - Allah knows best. I just shared with you my opinion about which proposition seems more "likely" to me based on the signs of Qur'an + my common sense.
I agree with you that incest behavior was more likely than not in the early history of mankind.

Hello,
Pharaohs often practiced incest to keep the genes within the family because they often deemed themselves as deities. It is likely common within royalties elsewhere too in the past because they deem their blood to be superior so they do not like to mix it with inferior blood.
However, statistically it has shown to be heavily increased risk for birth defects when the procreation is incest and a variety of the genes is creating a stronger offspring.
It is hard to prove empirically unless one has a time machine, but I think that race Homo Sapiens was already in existence when the spirit of Adam was given a body. I doubt the evolution of Homo Sapiens but I think that it was established separately from evolution. Unless one can prove me otherwise I have found no indications that scientists have found a corpse of a Homo Sapiens that show any particular evolution on the species. Other races, e.g. Homo Erectus, are clearly different species and cannot be the ancestor of Homo Sapiens. However, Homo Neanderthalensis may be Homo Sapiens without the spirit that the Sustainer created, changing the species slightly. This species co-existed with Homo Sapiens for some time until it was mysteriously extinct.
"Genetic evidence published in 2014 suggests that Neanderthals contributed to the DNA of anatomically modern humans, probably through interbreeding with them between 50,000 to 60,000 years ago."
Personally I think that the non-physical spirit of Adam was inserted into an already existing species on Earth and therefrom spread. It is not clear whether it is just one person or if the whole species was spawned in "husks" here and there. The speak of Adam and so on is merely allegorical and metaphorical.
According to my faith and studies Adam did never commit any sin, but the new spirit of Adam (our ethereal species) was inserted into a physical body (Homo Sapiens) as part of a test. This kind of conclusion not only I have reached but also people in the past, i.e. that Adam never sinned but was asked to enter the body for the purpose of "refining" the spirit under delusion to get the very best specimen to keep. The Sustainer will save those that grow into spiritual beings. All seeds of Adam can be said to be from the scratch and have to be built up into spiritual Beings (م who are united with their Sustainer rather than succumbing to the contradiction that the Creator made to be able to get the best offspring (hence why Jesus called the Sustainer "Father" and told people "to be in the Father and the Father in you".
This means that no one should aim to be a Homo Sapiens, a mere advanced primate, but they should see the contradiction and delusion and not let the "ape" rule over them. When the "spirit is separated from the flesh" then the spirit can grow and the connection to the Sustainer (re)established. I often compare this with schizophrenia where you have two personalities, one is driven by satan (instinct drive) and the other one is the pure spirit of the Sustainer. To cure yourself you have to be aware that you are ill and not let the one negative personality express itself by Being aware when it tries to express itself. If one is aware of this and they establish a link to their Sustainer then it all escalates.
This sounds like Gnosticism, which is right in many ways, but classical Gnosticism contains misconception as well induced due to the idolatrous nature of Homo Sapiens (such as creating a physical Satan or "demiurge". Everything is created by the one and the same source, i.e. the Sustainer. There is only Oneness. There is no mysterious Satan, but only an instinctive drive of a primate species that the spirit is contained within. When we are fooled we only fooled ourselves.
The Sustainer is present/aware in everything, be it Heaven (invisible realm) or Earth (incl. the universe). As soon as one makes the slightest separation of the Sustainer into a god then they have fallen prey to idolatry and delusion because it must be ultimate Oneness because there is no other existence. You are what you are or if you are not then you are simply lifeless and your seed did not come about into anything in particular. The Sustainer is searched for within yourself. The world is just a mere distraction serving just this purpose as well as spreading many seeds that the Sustainer may get something good to reap. Let us not make the Sustainer disappointed, yes?
Due to, for example, Gabriel and Mikael, alleged angels/controllers, I suppose there was a previous cycle of existence before another test was commenced which we are part of. Gabriel or Mikael are never mentioned as having been humans in bodies and prophets, but they have an apparently active role in this test. They are spirits who were absorbed in the Sustainer's foundation and exist "under this umbrella".
Be well

Peace upon you,
There are some clues about human evolution in the scripture, I think it could clarify the overall picture.
Adam
Adam is a real name for a real person, the first person ever to name things (Adam al-mustapha). He was living among a group of people (bashar) that lived basically like other animals.
Adam learned how to name things, thus opening the gate for abstraction.
Humans were then able to cummunicate ideas, and Adam's group and it's offspring overcame the other groups of "bashar" with less "knowledge".
Also, mastering fire and burrying deads were discovered after this.

Peace,
From my understanding, Adam was taught (learned) the description of things, he was able to describe things and thus express ideas. This was a paradigm in human evolution.
Certainly, Adam was not living alone; he was a member of a community of what we consider now as primitive humans. When acquiring such ability, he and his community possessed a great advantage over other communities and thus flourished while the others declined.
With ideas comes knowledge, but also nonsense; so truth and falsehood had to co-exist. I think before that period, only the truth existed, falsehood needs a medium which is language to propagate.
-
So there were human communities already, and Adam was made out of mud one day?
-
So there were human communities already, and Adam was made out of mud one day?
Peace FS,
All of us are made of the same basic components or atoms as mud, they are only arranged in different ways.
Bashar or homo sapiens is the species. When it acquires speech it becomes insaan or human.
Before the ability of speech, human's thoughts were hidden or from the jin. After acquiring speech, humans become able to show some bits of their thoughts or hidden world to others.
At the same times, it was made possible to tell lies, which was impossible before.
You can think of these steps like the growing steps of a new born baby (bashar) until he starts saying some words around 2 yo and making sentences around 4-5yo. This is where the kid's Ego develops making him aware of himself. This process took surely much more time before, and was a paradigm in human evolution.
