"Number miracles" in the Quran
-
Salaam all,
Now I'm sure we've all heard these before. I've been hearing them my entire life.
X word in the Quran is repeated so-and-so times. Y word is repeated just as many times.Well on a whim last week, I decided to test some of these out for myself. I managed to verify some and disprove others.
Here are some- Dunya = Akhera (This life / Hereafter )
Dunya = 115x (proof)
Akhera = 115x (proof)- Sab3a Samawaat (Seven Heavens)
Indeed the phrase "seven heavens" is repeated 7 times. (proof)
I couldn't get all the verses in 1 search because 2 of the hits use the phrase "the heavens seven" instead of "the seven heavens", so here are the verses (229, 1744, 2386, 4112, 6512, 673, 7115)- Man = woman = 24
Searching for "* -*? " to exclude the muthanna (dual) case gives us 24
Searching for rajul and rajulan and their variations gives us 24rajul = 13
rajulan = 7
fa-rajul = 1
li-rajul = 2
wa-rajulan = 1
24-
Salawat (plural case of salah) =5
-
Days and months
"Day" in singular case = 365
"Days" in plural and dual cases = 30al-yawm = 41
bi-yawm = 5
fal-yawm = 8
li-yawm = 8
wal-yawm = 23
bil-yawm = 2
wabil-yawm = 1
wa-yawm = 44
yawm = 217
yawman = 16
365ayyam = 20
al-ayyam = 2
ayyaaman = 3
bi-ayyam = 1
wa-ayyaaman = 1
yawmayn = 3
30- Shahr (month) = 12
Search for shahr and shahran, and take out dual and plural cases
proof
So what are your thoughts? I'm struggling to make up my mind on these results. Do you consider it irrefutable proof that the Quran is indeed the word of God? Are you nonplussed and unimpressed by these results? If so, why?
I'm just looking to get people's opinions on this.

Alahmdulillah.
I find this beautiful and inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
However I do not find this to be "irrefutable proof that the Quran is indeed the word of God". The creation of a living organism from accidental rearrangement of matter is a way bigger (statistically improbable) "miracle" than all the mathematical miracles in Qur'an. Those who can rule it out as a coincidence will have no issue in ruling the above out as coincidence as well.
Besides, if I see a miraculously beautiful girl or handsome man proportioned perfectly from all aspect - I'd not take him / her as a messenger of God just because of the physical look. But if there really is a messenger and (s)he is beautiful/handsome, too - thanks to Allah for that. But save me Allah from being too obsessed with the physical beauty of the messenger.
My Master has guided me to connect with the conent of Qur'an and see His signs in it. That itself is the irrefutable proof that the Quran is indeed the word of God as far as I am concerned.
What I am trying to say here is simple. Curiosity and fascination about the number miracles in Qur'an is healthy. Keep it to that. Do not make it an obsession.
May Allah guide us all to the straight route.
Regards,
Arman -
I have often read these claims and wanted to check them. It is unfortunate that when these claims are presented very few sources actually provide the evidence/verification. This book is an example, there many others.
I dont think there is such a thing as irrefutable proof, but certainly a case can be made using various avenues of approach, e.g.
