Homosexuality: A Cost To Society or Harmless

Is Sex = Love ? Are homosexuals attracted to each other for physical need only or mental(love) ?
peace
I think like all heterosexuals they are looking for both. (Refering to all the married gaycouples.)

Peace,
There is no such thing as a 'sodomite marriage' as approved by God.
Sodomites certainly ought to have equal rights in terms of income sharing, inheritance from each partner, etc that pertain to legal constructs. But the institution of 'marriage' is not one of those things that this includes.
Marriage is male and female union.
The male and female procreate, and in this respect it is in this type of union called a family that children are reared.
Sodomites wish to obtain these rights by attempting to shoehorn themselves into the institution of marriage and its existing rights. This is outside of the system of God and therefore sodomite marriage is to be condemned in my opinion.

Peace,
-Comment about the article and about the frequency this topic is raised
Why is there so much focus on this subject?
It happens, it exists.
It is not enough to declare you are against the act, not agaisnt the person? The insisitence about this on news, on forums, everywhere, can lead towards intolerance against these humans. They have to be fed up with the clever straight that are continually saying how abnormal they are.
The article says
never before in human history has it been granted such wide scale acceptance in western society as it has now
true, we see the person, we don't focus on his/her sexual preference, that belongs to his/her privacy.
It is just one aspect, just one, of the life, the rest of aspects, work, studies, good actions, bad actions, etc., exist too.
-To servant
please, why do you use the term "sodomites"?
I've just checked on www.etymonlyne.com and it sayssodomy
c.1297, from O.Fr. sodomie, from L.L. peccatum Sodomiticum "anal sex,"and
"sodomite," 1555, earlier "heretic" (1340), from M.L. Bulgarus "a Bulgarian" (see Bulgaria), so called from Catholic bigoted notions of the sex lives of Eastern Orthodox Christians or of the sect of heretics that was prominent there 11c.
Then, it can't be applied to lesbians but yes to straight couples that perform that act.
Of course words evolve and what referred in origin just to a thing, can end meaning another thing, but I am pointing out this to express that we don't need to use some terms. Language is a powerful tool, it can help to increase intolerance against whatever group, say guys, say women, some race, some age, etc. -
Peace Elena,
Main Entry sod?omy
Pronunciation 's?-d&-mE
Function noun
Etymology Anglo-French sodomie sexual intercourse between men, from Old French, from Late Latin Sodoma Sodom, from the supposed homosexual practices of the men of the city in Genesis 191-11Main Entry sod?om?ite
Pronunciation -"mIt
Function noun
one who practices sodomyn someone who engages in anal copulation (especially a male who engages in anal copulation with another male)
How does the word "gay" represent these things?
If you read Edip's article he makes a good case for using the term. Sodomites want to use the traditional word 'marriage' to describe their form of legal union; therefore let them accept the traditional term used to describe their behaviour.
Yes it is a powerful term disliked by homosexual men; but let them desist from insisting on 'marriage' which is a union between male and female.
Regards.

peace to all,
In my opinion, Marriage is not for uniting man and women. Its more about preserving each others right and the children. Marriage doesnt create love between ppl. Love has to come first and I think LOVE stands alone and it doesnt need any paper work. Its the mitual understanding and personal commitment between 2 person which creates the union.

Peace, servant
I was not thinking of the word "gay" that it is just an English word, I was thinking of the word homosexual, that exists in other languages and it is objective homo = same; homo sexual = same sex.
I had already said the words evolve and yes, you are right, at the diccionaries of present language it means that. But we shouldn't forget the origins totally if we want the truth.
I don't know why they want marriage when fewer and fewer couples marry nowadays, marriage is vanishing, what doesn't mean people are not enganging in responsible relationships and creating families.
You say
Yes it is a powerful term disliked by homosexual men
the term sounds old fashioned to me, I think it never appears in daily conversations, for that reason it seems to me that it is used just to offend them, but I can be wrong and you or others use it objectively.
With respect to the article of Edip, do you realise it was written in 1996? it is old and we are at the same point, repeating from time to time the same things as before.
-
"Do you have sex with the males, of all the people? 2165
"You forsake the wives that your Lord has created for you! Indeed, you are transgressing people." 2166
"You practice sex with the men, instead of the women. Indeed, you are a transgressing people." 781
It's up to God to judge these people.
To tell you the truth I don't see homosexuality as a big problem. Aslong as everybody is happy, it's fine by me. I respect everybody although I find it quite weird to see two men kiss.

I was not thinking of the word "gay" that it is just an English word, I was thinking of the word homosexual, that exists in other languages and it is objective homo = same; homo sexual = same sex.
Well even the term 'homosexual' is objected to nowadays because it is a term which highlights the sexual aspect whereas sodomites prefer the self chosen term 'gay' to describe the whole lifestyle and idiosyncrasies that apparently attach to this sort of person.
They are using and preferring euphemisms. Sugar coating the source of the differentiation which is a man's preference for sexual relations with another man.
When it comes to the word 'gay' even that has a usage etiquette that sodomites attempt to define. The politically correct are not allowed to distinguish persons by saying "The university staff has two gays." for example; they'd prefer something like "The university has gay staff." It's all a word game.
I don't know why they want marriage when fewer and fewer couples marry nowadays, marriage is vanishing, what doesn't mean people are not enganging in responsible relationships and creating families.
How about so they can adopt children? Is that acceptable to you that two men who engage in sodomy as a way of life should adopt children because they are a "married" couple?
You see this is about attaining rights that do not belong to them from a natural point of view. The behaviour of sodomy has its penalties and yet they are trying to overcome this by adopting children from the third world etc.
With respect to the article of Edip, do you realise it was written in 1996? it is old and we are at the same point, repeating from time to time the same things as before.
Well you must be aware that there are books and truths that are much older than 1996; we need to repeat some of these things in order to avoid being brain formatted by the homosexual lobby which is attempting to normalise their (in my view wrong) choices.

Peace be upon you,
HomoSEXuality is WRONG.
Please pay close attention to the word SEX in "homosexuality".
SEX is what this is all about, not "love".
Very simply, most people don't even undedrstand the word "love" and use it haphazardly as if it is something you "fall in and out of", nonsense.
Love is a force of attraction, like gravity. It is suppossed to be focused on the God (the whole), not on any single creation(part of the whole). That is why people who take "love" and focus it on a part of creation cause problems. They are so focused on thier "object" of "love" they cant reason properly.
We should become LOVING PEOPLE, the focus of Love is the God. The more God Like a person is, the more attracted we are to that "object".
Back to SEX. When a man and women come together , they have SEX, not "make love". Certainly when a RAPIST commits his evil deed, it is not "making love" it is SEX.
The God did not create this world for mere sport, a mere game, EVERYTHING has PURPOSE. Sex is for procreation, to continue the species. Man and man cannot do it, women and women cannot do it.
Many try to say that it is "love" between to humans, nonsense, you can "love your father and mother but SEX does not come into the picture. You can "love" your friends, but SEX does not come into the picture. SEX comes as a desire, we give it proper expression by using our sexual organs in the CREATED MANNER.
Lastly, as with any PERVERSION, we do not attack the person, only the ACT.

Salaam,
It has been said that bi-sexuality is embedded in all people and is the natural thing. People eventually lean to one sex, or they can be those who move back and forth from one to the other of the sexes. I'm not sure of how true this is. It seems that God alone in the quran does not condemn homosexual practice because the envoys themselves are condemning their very people for such things. To me it seems wrong to go around telling people that they cannot do it up with any mature and consenting person they please to do it with. I'm personally not gay and lean towards the opposite sex as my choice of sexual partners. However, I have admired some attractive men . I'd be like, that guy sure does look good.

Peace be upon you Nabi,
It has been said that bi-sexuality is embedded in all people and is the natural thing. People eventually lean to one sex, or they can be those who move back and forth from one to the other of the sexes. I'm not sure of how true this is.
Who said this? Hopefully the majority don't "lean" towards the perversion which will END the human exsistence.
It seems that God alone in the quran does not condemn homosexual practice because the envoys themselves are condemning their very people for such things.
You lost me here, what are the envoys condemning?
To me it seems wrong to go around telling people that they cannot do it up with any mature and consenting person they please to do it with.
That is correct, there is NO COMPULSION, but that does not mean we don't invite to what is right and speak out about what is wrong.
I'm personally not gay and lean towards the opposite sex as my choice of sexual partners. However, I have admired some attractive men . I'd be like, that guy sure does look good.
Well, HomoSEXuality deals with SEX, so you cannot use that as an example. Recognizing an object of beauty is one thing, performing the ACT of CREATING is another thing. What is it that prevents you from looking at that "handsome man" and not try to insert your penis into him?
(I'm about to throw up)
Doesn't the God say He places the force of attraction between man and woman in this reading(quran)?
In conclusion, Homosexuality did not create a single being on this forum, why is there so much respect for such a perverse action?
My dedication is to the God(the whole) and sex with the same partner is not part of the logical wholistic system of the God.

Salaam Kyle,
You can check the following webpage which briefly discusses bisexuality. The quran stresses heterosexuality it seems, but it seems apparent to me that sexual identification and preference can change as people are dynamic and it is very individualistic. Bisexuality is kind of hard to clasify since there are different levels of it.
http//www.biresource.org/pamphlets/bisexuality.pdf#search='are%20people%20born%20bisexual?'
It is difficult to actually identify all bisexuals since all people might not think that they are. J. R. Little gives at least 13 types of bisexuality that are defined by desires and/or experiences.
Alternating bisexuals
may have a relationship with a man, and then after that relationship ends, may choose a female partner for a subsequent relationship, and many go back to a male partner next.
Circumstantial bisexuals
primarily heterosexual, but will choose same sex partners only in situations where they have no access to other-sex partners, such as when in jail, in the military, or in a gender-segregated school.
Concurrent relationship bisexuals
have primary relationship with one gender only but have other casual or secondary relationships with people of another gender at the same time.
Conditional bisexuals
either straight or gay/lesbian, but will switch to a relationship with another gender for financial or career gain or for a specific purpose, such as young straight males who become gay prostitutes or lesbians who get married to men in order to gain acceptance from family members or to have children.
Emotional bisexuals
have intimate emotional relationships with both men and women, but only have sexual relationships with one gender.
Integrated bisexuals
have more than one primary relationship at the same time, one with a man and one with a woman.
Exploratory bisexuals
either straight or gay/lesbian, but have sex with another gender just to satisfy curiosity or "see what it's like."
Hedonistic bisexuals
primarily straight or gay/lesbian but will sometimes have sex with another gender primarily for fun or purely sexual satisfaction.
Recreational bisexuals
primarily heterosexual but engage in gay or lesbian sex only when under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
Isolated bisexuals
100% straight or gay/lesbian now but has had at one or more sexual experience with another gender in the past.
Latent bisexuals
completely straight or gay lesbian in behavior but have strong desire for sex with another gender, but have never acted on it.
Motivational bisexuals
straight women who have sex with other women only because a male partner insists on it to titillate him.
Transitional bisexuals
temporarily identify as bisexual while in the process of moving from being straight to being gay or lesbian, or going from being gay or lesbian to being heterosexual. You lost me here, what are the envoys condemning?
See Lut's response to the people in ayaat 781-82.
That is correct, there is NO COMPULSION, but that does not mean we don't invite to what is right and speak out about what is wrong.
What is wrong can be highly subjective. The god of the quran discriminates against same sex sexual practices.
Well, HomoSEXuality deals with SEX, so you cannot use that as an example.
Well sexuality is a broad term referring to all aspects of being sexual and does not refer exclusively to sex.
Doesn't the God say He places the force of attraction between man and woman in this reading(quran)?
Yes, this is the quran's teachings, but apparently alot of people have a force of attraction to whichever degree to the same and opposite sex. Again I cannot condone the god of the quran's stand on this issue because it seems pointlessly restrictive, especially regarding being open sexually.
In conclusion, Homosexuality did not create a single being on this forum, why is there so much respect for such a perverse action?
True, it did not. I would not call it perverse however.

WARNING Mature Content
Peace,
Is there a chance that when God is talking about the men in the story of Lut that he was referring to men who had sex with men LIKE they did with women? Why I'm mentioning this is because homosexuality was known to be prevalent for a very long time, and normal. HOWEVER, anal sex WAS NOT seen as normal. If a man were to have anal sex with another man, then it was seen as preverse, wicked, sinful, gross, etc.. However, without getting into too much detail, I'm trying to say that anal sex is not the exclusive form of sex that homosexuals practice, and indeed MANY, if not most, homosexuals DO NOT have anal sex. And indeed many homosexuals believe it is wrong to have anal sex BECAUSE its not genital-to-genital, excuse my french!, sex. When a man and a woman have sex, it is genital-to-genital. When a man and another man have sex, they DO NOT have to have anal sex, rather they "bump and grind" against one another, which if you ask almost all homosexuals, they will tell you that even before they knew what sex was, that is what they wanted to do with other boys their age. They never grew up knowing what anal sex was until someone told them, but naturally as they were growing up, they had a desire to bump and grind with another male as opposed to having anal sex with them. I think anal sex is something that was basically thrust upon the gay community as their form of sex, so it was a self-fulfilling prophecy type of thing. But to my understanding, many gay men do not like/participate/believe in anal sex. So, if we were to use that premise in discussing homosexuality, would anything change? And regarding Lot's people, could it be perhaps that anal sex was their crime? Trying to insert your penis into something else IN PLACE OF something else but not procreating?
-
Salaam,
Yes, not all, perhaps most, gay couples do not prefer anal sex or engage in it.
I think anal sex is something that was basically thrust upon the gay community as their form of sex, so it was a self-fulfilling prophecy type of thing.
I agree it may have been thrust on them. Albiet straight couples do engage in anal sex as well. I'm not sure it is inserting something in the place of the vagina. Anal sex can basically be its own fetish and also men and women do engage in oral sex. It can be sort of like taking the place of vaginal intercourse but it's different still. Oral sex can actually be more stimulating than vaginal sex.

Peace,
That is part of the problem. The desire to 'bump and grind' is a fulfilling of a sexual urge though it may not be penetrative sexual activity.
My reading leads me to understand that those who wish to fulfill their sexual desires should be patient till they are married (and this is only ever to an opposite sex partner in the context of the reading)
2433 Those who cannot afford to get married shall maintain morality until GOD provides for them from His grace. Those among your servants who wish to be freed in order to marry, you shall grant them their wish, once you realize that they are honest. And give them from GOD's money that He has bestowed upon you. You shall not force your girls to commit prostitution, seeking the materials of this world, if they wish to be chaste. If anyone forces them, then GOD, seeing that they are forced, is Forgiver, Merciful.
Now if one cannot marry a man and a man then the 'bumping and grinding' and 'toing and froing' and whatever else is all a breach in morality.
Regards.

Peace,
Is the prohibition against the marriage between man and man in the Qur'an itself? Or is this just basically nothing to do with it? Another question In another, lets say, 500 years. If gay marriage is very prevalent and even mainstream Muslims and Christians engage/approve of it, don't you think that if someone were to say "This is prohibited by the Qur'an!", future free-minders will object and say "Nowhere is this prohibition found in the Qur'an!" Am i right, or am i really right
-
Peace,
TheNabi, because there was no such thing as marriage between men and men in those days. Now, it is safe to say, there is. The point I was trying to make is, just because it didn't exist and God doesn't talk about it, is it prohibited? There is nothing that alludes to marriage being exclusively between men and women. Yes, every time marriage is mentioned, it is between a man and a woman, because thats what marriage meant. The meaning of marriage is changing now before our eyes. (Actually it has changed much since the Qur'an's time, even between men and women) Can we safely apply the changing meaning of marriage to the same concept of marriage found in the Qur'an? And who is to say that someone can or cannot apply the meaning of marriage in these days (or even in the future) to the concept found in the Qur'an?
Peace.
