    I think a muslim

According to the Quran a Muslim is one who has absolutely surrendered to Allah and his commands and believes in pure Tawhid

The definition of a hypocrite in Islam

A hypocrite in Islam is one who saw Islam; accepted its principles; embraced it; went along with it, but when his life style and preferences were challenged, Islam had failed with him. He knowingly wouldn't follow Islam because it would violate a certain life style that he adopted, ego, or standard that is too important to him, even though it directly violates Islam.

I voted less because I see 99% of muslims who don't recognize their qibla anymore. They don't recognize where this submission started (in Jerusalem with Abraham).

There is a 1% of hanifs who still know. Of course I'm only guessing, I haven't counted them.

I disagree there are only hypocrites though, there are also mushrikun (associators). Plenty.

rotfl I am laughing at all of us. In a way, we all do that.

From my observation, I conclude that radical suppression of freedom of speech exists even among Quran only Muslims. Majority of the members here are great. But I do chuckle at those who have started to think of themselves as Prophets/Gods.

              Hi Jafar,

I like your quote with Dalai Lama. He is a wise spiritual leader in many of his utterances. God in Quran mentions two paths; one is imitation of God (allah) and one is fulfillment/completion in God (al-rahman/brahman). Perfection in God's "eyes" is not the perfection according to the idea of ignorant humans, and one cannot omit the concept of empathy which the "love" word in the Gospels refers to, i.e. care for others, even those one deems to be "lifeless" people

                Hi reel,

How do we know it? We are not Allah.

No that is actually false. We are Allah, but we are not Rabb. But we are only Allah if we are such as Elah, or we do not belong to the Union. I know what you mean though, reel, do not be offended.

If someone does not act in the image of Rabb, then they have not submitted to God, so it is possible to see whom has and whom has not, even if we have no right to be arrogant.

From my observation, I conclude that radical suppression of freedom of speech exists even among Quran only Muslims. Majority of the members here are great. But I do chuckle at those who have started to think of themselves as Prophets/Gods.

Freedom of speech is perfectly acceptable; even if there are two valid concepts there are myriad of methods to follow them. There has been a staunch conflict of Flat vs. Round Earth such as that would matter in the end if you disbelieve in either. Also prostration towards a building in the desert is up to each and everyone of us. We cannot be zealous, but we can advise people whenever we see that something does not add up however we must allow others to live in their own bubble if they like.

I was rebuked and told that I should not try to change my ex-wife but rather support her to her end. The message was rather simple, and I was glad to hear it.

I said at one point that "It is the conjecture that people argue about". We have to separate ourselves from religion and rather talk life concepts and what completes a person, and accept if someone does things differently. Rather than saying "this is how people should do it" you should say "this is how I do it (and you can do like me if you like)". That is also the meaning of being Rasool which means an object of imitation/following. Preach to those willing to listen and let those who do not like it be with their habits.

And prophet (nabi) can be anyone; nabi means "insightful" with "one (step) within" and you could perhaps even call Dalai Lama a nabi. You had a vision of the structural integrity of God, this makes you a prophet since the English word means someone who has visions. Actually; the word prophet as a choice of translation of nabi is quite inaccurate. But everyone with authority from within the Realm is a nabi. Just like with allah these are descriptive words and the one who is, is it. You are what destiny you choose to lay ahead of you and fulfill yourself for.

Judgment is a central cognitive faculty of the rational human mind! Perhaps 'mis-judgment' is what the Lama (dude) meant!

An ex. of misjudgment would be judging a book by its cover.

This is because every human is programmed to be judgmental. But we are just not supposed to make it toxic.

What he says does contain truth in it.
                              Especially during Mao's rule.
                              https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_Revolution

Tibet in particular suffered severe persecution, nearly all the monasteries were destroyed, many monks and nuns were killed, and the general population were subjected to physical and psychological torture. There were an estimated 600,000 monks and nuns in Tibet in 1950, and by 1979, most of them were dead, disappeared or imprisoned. Despite official persecution, some local leaders and minority ethnic practices survived in remote regions.

And it's a hell on heart to not only for Tibetans, but the entire Chinese population in general.

Millions of people in China were violently persecuted during the Cultural Revolution. Those identified as spies, "running dogs", "revisionists", or coming from a suspect class (including those related to former landlords or rich peasants) were subject to beating, imprisonment, rape, torture, sustained and systematic harassment and abuse, seizure of property, denial of medical attention, and erasure of social identity. At least hundreds of thousands of people were murdered, starved, or worked to death. Millions more were forcibly displaced. Young people from the cities were forcibly moved to the countryside, where they were forced to abandon all forms of standard education in place of the propaganda teachings of the Communist Party of China.

I am not challenging the issue. I was just saying that we can't accept everything. There will always be time when we have no choice but to be judgemental/raise voice against atrocity. Mr Lama should have made it clear in his quote. It sounded too broad.

The question will be where's the limit?

Here's nastier example from another person who once said
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

?Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people?s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.

?Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.

?Woe to you, blind guides! You say, ?If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gold of the temple is bound by that oath.?

"You blind fools! Which is greater the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? " "You also say, ?If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gift on the altar is bound by that oath.? You blind men! Which is greater the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred? Therefore, anyone who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. And anyone who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it. And anyone who swears by heaven swears by God?s throne and by the one who sits on it."

?Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices?mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law?justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.

?Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.

?Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

?Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. And you say, ?If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.? So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. Go ahead, then, and complete what your ancestors started!

?You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?"

                                  The limit then might be

"Feel free to judge with certain measurement / standard, as long as you don't mind to be judged with the same measurement / standard".

Mr. Lama perhaps doesn't mind to be judged with "killing, torture and atrocity" measurements / standards.
And Mr. Jesus doesn't mind to be judged with "Hypocrisy" measurements / standards.

Agree completely. In a sane society that is how things are supposed to be.

Can't comment on bible verses. Yes, they sound judgmental, but I guess its for Christians to ponder upon.

The Bible is not of the best integrity, many passages that are added besides the Lore information received by prophets. And I begin to suspect much of the Bible is erroneously interpreted from the original Aramaic/Hebrew as well just as the fate has been with Quran.

                                        Interesting remarks..
                                        Why only "Christians"?
And why you can't or perhaps reluctant to comment on the Book Of Matthew?

We are human, so does Jesus.. we are judgmental.. that's a fact..
Every seconds we judge something, we make decision based on our judgement..
And based on that judgement we shall get what we deserves..
                                        What goes around comes around..

We do hate.. we can never be 100% love..
We dislike .. we can never be 100% in acceptance..
We have our own ego.. we can never be 100% in acceptance of God's will, especially if it's not in accordance to our will..
We have our own pride.. we can never be 100% humble..

There is no single human in this world, in the past, present or future which is 100% muslim (the attitude / character and not the religion)

                                        Salam / Peace

True. However, it is immature to paint a person with personal attack during a discussion. This was what I was implying earlier. Example

                                          1. Although I have no idea what you are talking about and I have no way to show that your theory is wrong I believe what you presented here is disturbing for all and thus, I declare that you are a devil and liar for it.

You see the problem here? That's like going back to sunni/shia days don't think and question.

True, but unfortunately, a few will not agree with what you said nope and that's what saddens me.
