I still consider the idol in Mecca against the second commandment of the Mosaic Decree, but that Muslims seem to have done away with.

the idol? what idol? the kaba is simply prophet Abraham's house he and his son built are you saying people are praying to it and not just towards it? or is there some other idol?

oh yeah and the question is more towards those who've visited the holy city or who live in or near it, what kind of islam do you find in the city of Mecca Saudi Arabia, i believe it should be Abrahamic monotheism for obvious reasons.

Well, what kind of power do you gain from an old house? That is the reason why people of old has idols because they thought it could act as a beacon to their god(s). It does not matter if Abraham would have built the house for you do not find something holy in a house built from worldly materials.

Nevertheless, it goes straight against the second commandment of the Decree to sanctify an object, be it a building. It is quite clear that the building is an idol, even if it is a so-called "focal point", because it turns the object into a superstitious source of energy which draws a person closer to their god.

But if a person has done away with the Decree of Moses then obviously they can have such "focal points", yet the Decree does not allow symbols to represent God to worship because such is not in the nature of God. The ancient (wannabe) interpreters of Quran had the courtesy for all you who call yourself Muslims to remove the Ten Commandments which are mentioned in it even in the second chapter called Al-Baqara.

          Amenuel

did you read a verse in the qurah surah 2 baqarah somewhere around the verse190 to 216, where it speaks of turn your faces toward this qaba also about prophet Abraham turning his face towards the heaven but now Allah will point you toward a qiblah that will please thee?

also surah hajj curcumbulating the "sacred" house the book says it's sacred, what do you think about not having a direction of certainty? the earth is just a big graph you need a center point you need a (0,0) or else what direction do you have? what is east? what is north? not to start some kind of "Abrahamic longitude and latitude" but religion is the beginning of all math and science. I haven't quite completed my thought about this though it's a joking I diea I do want to explore now.

also I don't think everything in the Abrahamic law is done away with that happened a lot doing the time of Christ walking about, remember that the jews have a hadith, a dictation from rabbis of old as well as a book, the torah, islam has the quran which is also holy and some add the hadith which is also "hear- say", what your speaking about was for a time the quran says for each messege is a time appointed , also it says not to defame the holy symbols of Allah in suarh hajj I believe don't quite remember where from, the ten commandments was a messege but maybe some of it is eased on muslims for the present or once again just not observed as it should be.
