    Peace JavaLatte,

I do not get very much in donations, I have had no donations in a year or so, i fund the site myself, you do not get rich from explaining truths sadly, as most people are like yourself, the earth is in a toroidal orbit not revolving around the sun exactly but spiralling in the vortex behind it. Of course that is still an orbit

JavaLatte is correct. A person who is employed by God does also get his/her recompense from God. Nothing coming from him/her should cost anything in worldly/physical means. No servitude, no money, no worship. The employed does only as customary, not compulsory, receive food and roof over their head for their short time (maximum of a couple of days) spent teaching in someone's home or congregational building and the teacher does not complain over the simple nature of their accommodation and can sleep on a thin mattress on the floor without complaint as long as the Body does not take damage from the interior temperature and other circumstantial parameters and is satisfied with a simple meal even if it be only bread as long as the Body's requirements are filled. If the family/people cannot sustain him/her due to poverty he/she does not rebuke them and will pay for their expenses from his/her pocket.

If he/she is asking for more, i.e. food, drink, money, or stays there like a parasite then he is not a real employee of God and is not a prophet (nabi = person with insight). It may be obvious that the person does not arrive in a limousine or at a first-class hotel.

Some guidelines of who may be a prophet.

      Be safe
      Amenuel

Here is the historical reality about the shahada, which I will to compare to the OP. The OP presents the shahada as it were some kind of statement that was unprecedented in history before Quran. Historical reality points out very clearly this statement is much older than Quran and I will provide evidence for it in this thread.

The oldest evidence of this shahada can be found in early christian manuscripts. More precisely the Pseudo-Clementine Homilies. These manuscripts are dated to 300-320 A.D. and are way older than the oldest fragments of Quran!

The original judeo-christian shahada can be found in Homily XVI chapter 10.

            https//en.m.wikisource.org/wiki/Ante-Nicene_Fathers/Volume_VIII/Pseudo-Clementine_Literature/The_Clementine_Homilies/Homily_XVI/Chapter_10

These words are put in the mouth of Peter saying " I do not accept of any other god but Him alone who created me."

There is even a strong suggestion what caused the confusion, as demonstrated in the OP, when translating this (partially) to Arabic. The verse preceding it in the Homily says "For he is nobody, except only in the opinion of Simon."

I have a strong suspicion this original christian homily has become removed of its reference to Simon and Peter (removing of the Judeonazarene origins in Quran by the scribes of the caliphs) if not its entire context and you end up with a Quran saying "for he is no God etc".

It's yet another example of manipulation of discourse and text in the Quran. With the attempts of trying to conceal its judeo-christian (nazarene) origins, the text is often rendered to linguistical and logical inconsistency.

What does 'illaa' stand for (in laa ilaaha ILLAA 'llah) !?

hicham9 This whole shadda is false and fabricated out of context verses. There are words after llah in verses, which explain what "one who is not at all a deity for worship" could be understood as to be. Here is further denial of both theistic as well atheistic world views.

Which words and which verses are you refering to? Can you provide evidence that supports your claim?

                        Peace everyone,

I prefer a fact/evidence-based approach to theology. And in my view Al-Quran tells us everything we need to know about who/what Allah is.

The Quran suggests that Allah is the following

                        1. The Creator of everything (see verse 3962, 4062 and 6102).
                        2. The Sustainer of everything (see verse 754, 1031 and 2225).
                        3. The Everlasting; That has always existed and will always exist (see verse 1123 and 288.
                        4. The Omniscient (see verse 2225, 659, 343, 3538, 4212, 4916, 4918, 4960 and 5016).
                        5. The Omnipotent (see verse 214.
                        6. The Omnipresent (see verse 5016).
                        7. The Owner of everything in the heavens and the earth (see verse 2284).
                        8. The Only one who guides to the truth (see verse 1035).
                        9. The Unseen and unseeable (see verse 6103).
                        10. The Master of the believers (see verse 4711).
                        11. The Most trustworthy (see verse 4122, 951 and 1412).
                        12. The Light of the heavens and the earth (see verse 2445).
                        13. The Protector of the righteous (see verse 4519).
                        14. The Entity which is one/singular and has no partners (see verse 931, 1066, 2122, 2391 and 3422).
                        15. The One who will resurrect human beings on the day of reckoning and reward or punish them (see verse 429, 5818, 2281 and 356).

                            Ante-Nicene Fathers/Volume VIII/Pseudo-Clementine Literature/The Clementine Homilies/Homily XVI/Chapter 7

Chapter VII.?Peter Appeals to the Old Testament to Prove the Unity of God.

And Peter said ?I shall reply briefly to what you have said. The law, which frequently speaks of gods, itself says to the Jewish multitude, ?Behold, the heaven of heavens is the Lord?s thy God, with all that therein is;? implying that, even if there are gods, they are under Him, that is, under the God of the Jews. And again ?The Lord thy God, He is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath, and there is none other except Him.? And somewhere else the Scripture says to the Jewish multitude, ?The Lord your God is God of gods;? so that, even if there are gods, they are under the God of the Jews. And somewhere else the Scripture says in regard to Him, God, the great and true, who regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward, He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow.? The Scripture, in calling the God of the Jews great and true, and executing judgment, marked out the others as small, and not true. But also somewhere else the Scripture says, ?As I live, saith the Lord, there is no other God but me. I am the first, I am after this;except me there is no God.? And again ?Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.? And again ?Hear, O Israel, the Lord your God is one Lord.? And many passages besides seal with an oath that God is one, and except Him there is no God. Whence I wonder how, when so many passages testify that there is one God, you say that there are many.?

                            Ante-Nicene Fathers/Volume VIII/Pseudo-Clementine Literature/The Clementine Homilies/Homily XVI/Chapter 10

Chapter X.?Peter?s Explanation of the Apparent Contradictions of Scripture.

And Peter said ?They do not lead astray, but convict and bring to light the evil disposition against God which lurks like a serpent in each one. For the Scriptures lie before each one like many divers types. Each one, then, has his own disposition like wax, and examining the Scriptures and finding everything in them, he moulds his idea of God according to his wish, laying upon them, as I said, his own disposition, which is like wax. Since, then, each one finds in the Scriptures whatever opinion he wishes to have in regard to God, for this reason he, Simon, moulds from them the forms of many gods, while we moulded the form of Him who truly exists, coming to the knowledge of the true type from our own shape. For assuredly the soul within us is clothed with His image for immortality. If I abandon the parent of this soul, it also will abandon me to just judgment, making known the injustice by the very act of daring; and as coming from one who is just, it will justly abandon me; and so, as far as the soul is concerned, I shall, after punishment, be destroyed, having abandoned the help that comes from it. But if there is another god, first let him put on another form, another shape, in order that by the new shape of the body I may recognise the new god. But if he should change the shape, does he thereby change the substance of the soul? But if he should change it also, then I am no longer myself, having become another both in shape and in substance. Let him, therefore, create others, if there is another. But there is not. For if there had been, he would have created. But since he has not created, then let him, as nonexistent, leave him who is really existent. For he is nobody, except only in the opinion of Simon. I do not accept of any other god but Him alone who created me.?

The Bible is a book not fit to use as toilet paper, a worthless fiction that has caused and continues to cause confusion, suffering and stupidity in those who invest in it.

Your opinion on the bible is quite irrelevant. The Pseudo-Clementine Literature is not part of the Bible. What's important is this concept of Gods unity is documented in early christian writings (in Syriac) of 325 AD. More than two centuries older than Quran!

But then there's your friend bankwar2 who is trying to decypher the language in Quran like there are no rules and it has no semitic roots nor christian precursors to make it state something self-contradicting...

There is no deity, no god, no entity. As is your opinion, totally irrelevant, the evidence does not exists to support the jewish/christian bible, not archeologically or scientifically, this being the case your opinion is without any support, while my assertion must be disproven, as i am not the one trying to claim the bible is truth you are.

Basically, I don't care* about those who don't even accept the existence of their Creator, because I consider it as an awful denial and also, very very ungrateful mannerism.

*I mean, I don't care whether God will guide them or not.

What I think they already failed in the basic test, because even after we acknowledge the existence of our Rabb, then it does not mean we become instantly safe, there are still more tests after that acknowledgment - to test your obedience to your Rabb - the test to differentiate between the true believers and the liars.

For those who believe that God exists, please do not neglect Him. We should not forget about "taqwa". I think, sooo many people do not truly care about "taqwa".

I think many people forget/neglect these

Do the people think that they will be left because they say, "We believe" and they will not be tested?

And indeed, We tested those who were before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.

Testimony alone is not sufficient to prove the faith.

                                          And also don't forget 1539-40.
