What/Which Ayah's encourage progress ,Any???

Are there any Ayahs that encourage Mens Progress i.e Education and Research.Or is it entrapped in the translations.
If Anyone Knows!
To me the only way we may(are encouraged) progress is by serving/Applying the ATTRIBUTES within Gods Laws. And Arn't all the advancing nations based on this fact/methodology .

Thanks for that , but you i think will agree it is only a very small step in comparision to the advancement human kind have made - In science and other subjects whats encouraging them and how/why are they doing it.I mean isn't there any thing more in the quran - surely , to give us the encouragement/push/advancement as it is essential for our betterment.
If anybody has some more explanations using quran then what i sugested God be with you all.

Well there's the verse that tells us to use our hearing, sight, and brain. And also there are numerous verses that tell us to study God's creation in order to realise the truth. I think. Um, I dont know where they are, heh, but they're around!
At Islam's peak there was so many discoveries and inventions made by muslims random link , so I'm sure they were inspired by many of God's words.

I think its just our innate nature to seek to progress, like man has always dreamt of flying, it is now possible.
Just the way the Quran doesn't need to tell us not to drink poison, it might be that God expects us to do that anway, because its embedded in our 'software' wink .

Salaamun alaikum,
Making 'progress' has a Quranic paradigm or version. 91/7-10 says
By the Soul, and the proportion and order given to it;
And its enlightenment as to its wrong and its right;-
Truly he succeeds that EVOLVES IT (zakkaha)
And he fails that corrupts it!So we know that the person who evolves himself is successful (in Quranic language, attains al-falah, translated above as 'succeeds'). Al-Qur'aan also tells us that nothing of our condition will change until we change our souls (13/11 and 8/53).
