There's only one Mehdi. And that's Mehdi Hasan.

What I found was if you read the Bible concerning the Anti-Christ and read the hadiths concerning who the mahdi is you would see that the anti-christ of the bible is the mahdi that the muslims are waiting for.

There is a mistake there. Not all Muslims are waiting for Mahdi. He is recognized as an important figure by mainly shia sect. I do know that some Sunnis now have started believing in it due to youtube videos which have mixed up sunni hadiths and shia hadiths to expand the lie filled prophecies about coming of the antichrist and umm, christ.

Truth is that no one is coming.

I believe parts of the prophecies of Imam Mahdi are true in Islam and other religions, so yes I believe there will be a Mahdi coming.

            salam,
I was just curious how tou view the mahdi because i have been searchin about this particular figure lately and what I learned is something very shocking. So shocking that I am thinking of going back to christianity since I am a convert to Islam . What I found was if you read the Bible concerning the Anti-Christ and read the hadiths concerning who the mahdi is you would see that the anti-christ of the bible is the mahdi that the muslims are waiting for. I encourage you mu bros and sis to search up "Mahdi is the biblical anti-christ" and you would be shock how similar the biblical anti christ and imam mahdi are. So mu question is Do you as muslims also think that the mahdi is the anti christ? Like if you read the quran there is no mention pf him.

You use a religion based on hadith books(Islam) to prove that another religion(Christianity) that was also corrupted the same way(through hadith books) is true. Whatever "prophecy" God did not mention in the Quran is false. "GOD does not shy away from the truth." God doesn't beat around the bush. If these characters were coming surely God would have explicitly mentioned that in the Quran. Why are you going to believe in books written by Bukhari and Company over the Quran? Is the Quran not enough for you? Are you going to allow hadith books to lead you astray? Why do people insist on fairy tales?
The Mahdi is a false figure and so is the so called second coming of Jesus and the anti-Christ.

For anyone who disagrees, bring some evidence for your claims that Mahdi, JesusV2, Dajjal/anti-Christ are real. Muslims(sectarians) will disagree because they follow hadith books and not the Quran. So to use misguided people who believe in the same fairy tales as Christians do, to prove that the other sectarians(the Christians) are true is not very smart.

Hadith books and Bibles have a ton of similarities on so called prophesies and even religious laws, none of which can be found in the Quran.
You need to learn the difference between a follower of hadith books(A Muhammadan) and a Quran only muslim(peacemaker).

I'm sorry for my tone. I'm just sick and tired of people parroting "MAHDI IS COMING!", "DAJJAL IS HERE!" and "JESUS IS COMING!" with no evidence except from quoting from their hadith books.

Hadiths is a copy of the bible and other terrible books so this leaves me to think one thing, isn't the Imam Mehdi story taken from the bible too? I imagine that Dajal must be Lucifer and Imam Mehdi must be Jesus. There are some theories that the Lucifer-Jesus story and other parts in the bible were taken from Egyptian mythology. Anyway it's just a fairy tale..

lol that's a word that i have not heard in a long time mahdi...

i remember back when i was a shite (an slightly ignorant time sunni time was way more ignorant ) he was some kind of twelve imam,

.... what happened to that hadith and the other about a tightrope walk to heaven....

i don't know where these things come from but must be heresay you stop hearing it when people stop saying it. and they would be the same person the anit-christ and mahdi, a messenger teaching truth christ messege is a truth but ... the recorders and their lies, he would be the anti-christ to them and their crazy beliefs, jesus was constantly praying the recorder christ's prayer goes like this " dear me, please give me my(your) daily bread, praise me, also please make me(you) a god, so my strange prayers make sense apun my death, that me back at ya(me).", "dear me please bring lazuras back to life, i know i can do it, thanks me, please make me a god so my strange prayers will make sense apun my death.", "dear me, i know your about to be crucified but i know i can save me, so your own my own, i've got to save me".

there are a lot on inconsistency he would tackle making the pagans (christians who believe in a divided/multiple god; have more than one solid god make you a polytheist and outside otf monotheism), very confounded and agry (what got prophet abraham thrown into the furnace... the way he would talk about their gods).

Hypothetically if Jesus did return today and stood in front of a bunch of bible bashing Americans they'd probably profile him as a terrorist. The reality is religions are heavily affected by the culture of a particular area they're in and the Christianity of the West would be much more alien to Jesus than Middle Eastern Islam.

Jesus may have been alien to Christianity and "Islam(traditional)",but he brought the true Gospel and gave good news of what was to follow after him._i.e Qoran- Jesus was very familiar with "his Gospel".

I say you may be alien to Qoran. Please give it justice and study it. Find out what is alien about it?
You may find it is not of this world, and only the Lord of the universe could have authored it!And that is the only thing alien about it.

The reality is; Religion is the PRODUCT of the culture of the particular area that it was and is in.

Judaism, Christianity AND Islam all started in the Middle East and were a product of the area they were in, but then when they dispersed into other parts of the world EXACTLY THE SAME THING HAPPENED in the West, these Middle Eastern religions evolved into something much different from their originals, especially in those places far removed from ME.

For Jesus, he's more familiar to the religion of Judaism (which he had conflict with) and Tanakh.
And he's totally alien to GOSPEL or QURAN or Christianity or Islam.

Judaism isn't this monolithic entity that has remained the same throughout time immemorial. In fact, most of the Judaism we see today developed in the Arabic-speaking world. And then it developed again from the middle ages to the modern period with the Germano-Slavic Yiddish establishing their White Hegemonic Western colony in the Middle East.

                                  Let me revised my statement.

Jesus was alien to the Book of Matthew, the Book of Mark, the Book of John and the book of Luke.
And the book titled Quran cannonized by Uthman circa 600 years after his demise.
Plus Jesus was also alien to Christianity or Islam.

There ARE great chances that Jesus might NOT be able to read Arabic or Latin script.

In the same manner as I'm alien to the book titled "How to find food in Alpha Centaury 5" or the religion of "Ionism".
As such thing doesn't exist during my lifetime.

I say you may be alien to Qoran. Please give it justice and study it. Find out what is alien about it?

You mean book titled Quran cannonized by Uthman circa 600 AD?
Oh no worries, I'm VERY FAMILIAR with it since I was 5 yo or so.

And NO I don't think the God of all universes wrote it..(Quran, Gospel or Tanakh or any other holy book) actually I didn't find any of such statement too within those books.
I am convinced that all of it was written by human.

Plus I don't need any "Book" or "Holy Artifacts" to see or understand what the "God of all universes" wrote or revealed to me.

Judaism isn't this monolithic entity that has remained the same throughout time immemorial.

Of course, Judaism has its root in (much older) Semitic Culture + Ancient Egyptian culture.
That's why they have this odd conception of "Holy Book".
Which was started by Ancient Egyptian (i.e. Book Of The Dead).
We can call Judaism as Ancient Egyptian 2.0..

                                    And the evolution hasn't stopped.
It gives birth to Judaism 1.5 (Christianity) and Judaism 2.0 (Islam)
Who knows in the future they will adopt the conception of "Holy Software" too!!

It gives birth to Judaism 1.5 (Christianity) and Judaism 2.0 (Islam)
Who knows in the future they will adopt the conception of "Holy Software" too!!

Hence we return to the culturalisation of religions, the majority of Judaism now is under the yoke of the German Yiddish Western Imperialists, whereas Middle Eastern culture has always remained as Islam's central focus in contradiction to the Rome of Christianity and the New York and Hollywood of Judaism.

Which goes back to my original point with which you had issue - taking the holistic approach, besides a bit of text, the pronounciation of which has been clearly bastardised to the point of ridiculousness, linguistically, racially and culturally Jesus would still be a better fit in 'backward' rural Jordan than 'modern' Tel Aviv.

                                          So?

The conflict between "West and East"..
Or to be more exact "Western part of Mediterranean vs Eastern part of Mediterranean" has been going on for 2500 years up until today. And BOTH SIDES are IMPERIALIST from my point of view.
Thus I have no comment on their conflict.

To Indians, Chinese, Pakistani, Indonesians, Japan, Korean reader this "ancient conflict" doesn't involve you.. You guys doesn't matter from their point of view although your are on the "eastern part" of the world.

Having said that, the teaching of Jesus, based on the writing on the Book of Matt, Mark and Luke is CERTAINLY eastern influenced (Far eastern that is). The teaching of Jesus fits well in NEPAL or CHINA compared to MECCA, ROME, JERUSALEM or TEL AVIV. Well that's why he faced problem in Jerusalem in the first place when he said

Look dude.. the beard doesn't matter, the circumcision doesn't matter, the great temple in Jerusalem doesn't matter, the burnt offering doesn't matter, the sacrifice doesn't matter, the sabbath doesn't matter.. it's your DEED that matter..

                                          What Qoran do you know?

And what Qoran do you know?

Who actually wrote it? To me it doesn't matter...
But most definitely a HUMAN WHO CAN READ AND WRITE.

I take what's good from ANY SOURCES and ditch what's BAD on ANY SOURCES.
Regardless of who wrote it.. regardless of it's "HOLINESS" status.

In the end it's your deed that matter..
And not how you rate certain Books..
