do you guys believe prophet isa is coming back to earth please support you answers with quranic reference, since I muself am confused about this. However I dont believe that there would be a dajhal and an imam mahdi since there are no quranic reference to them. But when it cones to the return of prophet isa there are quranic reference. For example We know that Prophet Isa said to his people "....the day I live and the day I shall die and the the day I shall be raised alive."(sorry I could not provide exact surah but I hope you recall this verse). We knew when jesus when teaching in Israel some people wanted to crucify him and God raised him alive. And also somewhere in the Quran it is said that Jesus is the sign of the hour. So if you think I am wrong please feel free to refute me since I have seen people claiming that he was actually dead when he was raised and that part where it was said about putting him to sleep was actualy a mistranslation and it actualy means cause him to die. due to these conflicting information I dont know which one to believe.

I believe Mahdi is coming, I believe Christ is not.
In fact it is Immanuel who is prophesied. Check Isaiah 714 - 820, he just had to stop living on "curds and honey" and learn to reject the bad and choose the good.
The name Mahdi would mean "who is chosen", or "the chosen one" being a construct of and using traditional reasoning. The name is not very forth-telling in my opinion. Alternatively, it may be interpreted "(thereof) who recognizes", i.e. "a person who understands" by my latest breakthroughs in Arabic morphology.

Mahdi could essentially be anyone and could fit in many religious prophecies.

Yes, because the word is very generally speaking and could be regarded as an alternative understanding of the word nabi. Nabi = Insightful One, Mahdi Of recognizing "character".

I also used to strongly believe in the coming of Imam Mahdi (I used to be Alevi/Bektashi, a sufi-shia sect from Turkey who also believe in the Twelve Imams) together with the second coming of Jesus/Yeshua/Eesa the Messiah. After finding out these statements contradict the Qur'an (for example Chapter 5, verses 116-117), I rejected them. They are obviously Satanic inventions/fairytales and I don't want to base my beliefs on stories. While GOD is our only Savior and Helper, and should be sufficient for us (3936), we people keep making up other saviors, helpers, heroes, supermen, hazrats, masters, maulas, etc. who are supposed to magically appear and make everything right, while we can just sit back and do nothing.. GOD does not change the condition of a people before they change what is in themselves (1311). To me, 'Mahdi' is just another name for the laziness of this Ummah, who have already left the Qur'an.. The story of a 'savior' and an 'anti-christ' can be found in almost every man-made religion.. I personally believe (and scholars like Yasar Nuri Ozturk also believe this) that these stories found its way into Christianity from Jewish traditions.. and later made it's way into the Hadith of muslims because of the many Jewish converts to Islam.. just like there are also many other Jewish traditions that have found their way into Islam (like circumcision, the stoning of women, etc.) while the Qur'an does not mention any of them. The Qur'an is fully detailed (6114), is not a fabricated hadith (12111) and contains an explanation of all things (1689 and 1854). The Qur'an should be sufficient for us (2951) and prophet Muhammad only warned us with the Qur'an (2145).
Qur'an 73 "Follow what was sent down to you from your Lord, and do not follow besides Him any supporters/leaders. Little do you remember!"
Qur'an 456 "These are the revelations of God, We recite them to you with the truth. So, in which narrative/hadith after God and His revelations do they believe?"
And about the "the day I live and the day I shall die and the the day I shall be raised alive." verse, if you look at it from the context of the Qur'an, I believe he means the day he will be raised alive on Judgment Day like all of us will be raised alive again.

The Qur'an is the only book we are being held responsible for (4344, 2951, 73), so indeed if it would be that important it would be in the fully detailed Qur'an.

Actually, according to the Qur'an, Jesus DID die. The verse about him being raised to the heaven is being misinterpreted.
Just take a look at Qur'an Chapter 5 verses 116 and 117
"And God will say "O Jesus, son of Mary, did you tell the people to take you and your mother as gods other than God?" He said "Glory to you, I cannot say what I have no right of. If I had said it then You know it, You know what is in my self while I do not know what is in Your self. You are the Knower of the unseen." "I only said to them what You commanded me to say, that you shall serve God my Lord and your Lord; and I was witness over them as long as I was with them, but when You TERMINATED my life, You were watcher over them. You are witness over all things."
Every messenger of God (including Jesus) were just normal men like Muhammad, they all ate food and they all died natural deaths.
Take a look at Qur'an Chapter 21 verses 7 and 8
"And We did not send before you except men whom We inspired to. So ask the people of the Reminder if you do not know. And We did not make for them bodies that do not need to eat, nor were they immortal."There will be no second coming of Jesus or a coming of the Mahdi brother. Prophethood has ended, the Message of God has been delivered.. it is our duty to read it (the Qur'an), study every word of it regularly and adapt it into our lives, without wanting to have special saviors. We should all be a 'mahdi' ourselves and reject all evil in this world and help each other.. God should be sufficient for us.
Qur'an 3936 "Is God not enough for His servant? And they frighten you with others besides Him. And whoever God sends astray, then for him there will be no guide."
