    for example it says on your time table that fajr starts at 620 am and sunrise starts at 801 am can you delay the time as long it is before sunrise? cuz that is ehat i have been doing this past few days. The readon for it is that you know Fajr means dawn right? meaning that if you look at the horizon you see a white streak of light. Well sometimes I look outside and it is completely dark and I iudally wait for it to be a bit lighter sto start cuz i dont want to end up praying to eatly. And i ferl this past few years I have bren praying too early which is not good

      I say my prayer between dawn and sunrise. Any thing earlier or later than this is neither at the end of the day nor approach of the night as Quran 11114 spells

        Peace,

        @neptin summed it up.

        and as for 'sometimes I look outside and it is completely dark and I iudally wait for it to be a bit lighter sto start cuz i dont want to end up praying to eatly.'

        God has blessed us with scientific measuring equipment and calculation that tells us exactly when dawn is. essentially the 'white thread of light becomes distinguishable from the dark thread of night at dawn' happens whether we notice it or not, sometimes its cloudy here and it doesn't get light for ages.

        However in my experience the timetable (submission app for android) is accurate, when it said its time for fajr, there was a white thread of light just appearing. i follow the timetable, however i believe there is no sin upon you by using the old fashion method.

        I like to pray my fajr as soon as dawn comes because 1. im already awake and usually have been all night. and 2. I like to have time to read/recite/listen to the Quran at dawn, as instructed by God. and also i like to listen to the birds reciting theirs.

        Peace
