You do not make a formal writing with slang or an overwhelming amount of colloquial language.

But there occurs language such as "turn back on heels", but I suppose anyone could understand that. The Author did not add anything which people could not understand at any time in history and future.

That saying can be understood if people could grasp its metaphorical meaning. Consider a wealthy man who tries to get through a narrow opening, and the opening to Heaven is so narrow only a light-weight traveler gets through but not big enough for a camel and its rider. Camels were considered expensive property in ancient times.

    Peace both,

I think we need to be conscious not to mix metaphors as in the English and linguistic sense of the word with the Qur'aan's allegorical/metaphorical/esoteric verses.

      Why?

        Peace both,

I think we need to be conscious not to mix metaphors as in the English and linguistic sense of the word with the Qur'aan's allegorical/metaphorical/esoteric verses.

It can be difficult to translate an Arabic phrase with a few words into English where the Arabic would have only 3 words then perhaps it could be 7 in English when including all affixes.

This is due to the innate meaning of Arabic letters where they speak descriptively already from within the letters themselves and blossom into words. It is therefore hard to make definitions in a lexicon because the words are like "Be Of Integrity (like)" for amen for example. People in all ages have had problems to translate 'amen', but that is because when you translate it into English you probably have to use more than one word. From a root point of view, amin (&#1606 comes from min (&#1606 which in return come from the root (miim-nun-nun).

Apart from that I do not think I fully comprehended what you liked to convey.

oh thanks for the piece by piece reply that was a bit simplier.

but once again I kinda see where your coming from again we all have prospectives, the point of the book is that whom ALLAH will's will receive guide and many doth it lead astray.

I though you were translating based on only the metaphorical sayings which is most common but you have a understand of the no fail method of understand the quran, I believe it should stay the way it's been interpreted by yusef ali, whom was the messenger sent to bring this book again to us English readers and speakers and a few others I might not know.

it's guidance by don't for get ALLAH is not about all this equality and non-sense he tries men against men, he loveth not the deaf and the dumb, those who reject the truth and turn away. Allah is not some god who sits in the sky forgive people who don't even want to be forgiven, have you read the bible just to get a sense of the god you serve? he kills all, he is not in need of any, he's made people eat feces, he's kid children and herds of animals, he's sent your great grand parents to the fires of hell and you still praise and worship him at his feet.

Fearing ALLAH is not just a saying he accomplishes his will though what ever means he sees fit, he's cursed children he's send prophet adam and eve to the earth to toil and suffer for breaking one small rule, ALLAH is not to be messed with even his messengers like Samson have been know for might even young prophet david has killed a man... a big man with a stone, then lived as a fugitive in mountians and gave birth to a son who inslaved men and jinn to work as he willed.

to put it simply ... we're all going to die. ALLAH's going to kill us and he wants the greater part of man kind to go to hell, the fires of hell may even be alive if it can ask if their are anymore to come, or burst forth with flames everytime someone new enters it.

you have good intentions but it's the way of ALLAH that tragedy befalls those who are born with deafness or who are born dumb (who else can the deaf and the dumb be?) in a sense the quran was made to be rejected and misinterpreted... it just varies from person to person. they were simply born to burn in hell, it's ALLAH's master plan for certain souls, why even try to make a fool proof understanding of the book?

I think your over interpreting and you should keep your faith in action and preaching.

          that's my s

            Hello dear fye,

I though you were translating based on only the metaphorical sayings which is most common but you have a understand of the no fail method of understand the quran, I believe it should stay the way it's been interpreted by yusef ali, whom was the messenger sent to bring this book again to us English readers and speakers and a few others I might not know.

I would not agree with that, but it is up to you what to believe.

I am translating metaphorical language as it sounds in Arabic without any cross-conversion into English. It does sometimes sound very unusual for an English-speaker.

it's guidance by don't for get ALLAH is not about all this equality and non-sense he tries men against men, he loveth not the deaf and the dumb, those who reject the truth and turn away.

If he did not care for them, he would not enable certain people to relay subtle information which could hint people who open their eyes towards the proper direction. God provides for every person, even the sinner, but people care not to listen despite the fairly clear evidence provided but like to complicate things. The people who relay speak also to the sinner, suggesting that God cares for everyone or else this person would be very selective in whom they speak to.

Now you have taken forth the sectarian view of God which stems from a very lousily interpreted Semitic writing. That is not your Rabb. Your Rabb does not sound like that. But if you like to stay in the fog you can remain with it despite the clear alternative you had with what I said. Your Rabb should stem from within you, should be expressed from you, then you have found yourself and thus found your Creator, the Creator of your perfect Spirit. Otherwise you are just deceived by your Bodily contradiction and its instinct.

to put it simply ... we're all going to die. ALLAH's going to kill us and he wants the greater part of man kind to go to hell, the fires of hell may even be alive if it can ask if their are anymore to come, or burst forth with flames everytime someone new enters it.

You cannot be somewhere where you already are.

you have good intentions but it's the way of ALLAH that tragedy befalls those who are born with deafness or who are born dumb (who else can the deaf and the dumb be?) in a sense the quran was made to be rejected and misinterpreted... it just varies from person to person. they were simply born to burn in hell, it's ALLAH's master plan for certain souls, why even try to make a fool proof understanding of the book?

Yes of course I have good intentions, I would like that every person stepped out of their fog that surrounds them. It is their choice to stay within it and we are not authorized to force them and it is futile to try because if a person cannot understand then it has no purpose. God has not called it easy but it is made to be corrupting and deceptive and the one who is successful reduce themselves from their extremely insistent Body.

sorry i didn't finish my posting i was just ranting on and on about just what's being preached.
and your second quoting, ALLAH has placed the rule of mercy on himself this is a verse from the quran which is why everyone is given a chance. but blah blah blah this is just going to be the freewill or everythings written arguement again and again. it's always the outline of everything how we stand up right and even the way we form sentences and such it's freewill within an outline i have an opinion about your translations but that's without me seeing your translations but guessing at your intention, that's no fair and i'm noticing my mistake.

and do you really believe their is a loving and caring god who sends people to hell? out of the population of men and women in their 20's - 30's how many do you think will enter heaven and how many do you think will burn in heaven. please just give numbers even a percentage. i understand you may believe religion is based on good intention but it's just a bunch of rule that you must follow to stay within the religion like being a vegan you must avoid blah blah blah.

and read more about hell in the holy books it's a place full of places even paradise lost speaks of a number of gates and levels as does the quran which meantions the lowest place as well as seven gates. to be honest a fog around you or a sky above you makes you feel safe it's a covering people prefer to remain covered in their own fogs i realised a while ago there is a god in a world that feels like there is no god. what i mean by that is simply we are just dust and water the planets are larger than us the rotate and revovle and we breath and wake up. they too had their begins and their ends and they will be questioned as to their existence.

i can not change the way people see islam i can only stay away from sects and groups that have embraced a common understand of a book that most of them have no opened or studied as they should.

i don't want to sound angry or over determined to force my view i'm just simply stating maybe the end of things explains the present more than we care to know , we are bias living in the present right?

but your faith has increased mine so i have no complaint.
ALLAH always knows best, ALLAH knows what he intends for men on earth.

              peace peace

oh yeah back on topic is anyone advertising the site?

it's hard to find group unless it's at the top bar in a search engine, it's populated and active the high the result.

even the website is a ".org" while ".com"s are the more popular addresses.

i haven't thought of a place to advertise the site and maybe on other forum boards but i'm not really interested in doing this.

how active is this site anyway? does everyone online even post once a day?

The Koran says that we should get together. My reading of the verse is that the meetings should be in person.

                    Peace.

lol and which verse are you speaking about? is it the one that says one should not live a monastic life, or a hadith of some sort?

there is a verse in the quran speaking on people outside your rank, it says not to take them into your company they will not fail to corrupt you. also the masjids are not for all who say they believe it's for those who've suffered in the cause of ALLAH, it's a different experience to be with your suffering brother in a tuesday then to be in a group congregation with people who don't have permission to enter a masjid. Take ALLAH's will into consideration the believers are few, most people are going to hell, we are simply debating on this site. some are sufi, some are jews, some are christian, and i'm the only Abrahamic monotheist i know follow the ways of prophet Abraham and bowing in islam. should we "Really" be hugging and getting together?
it sounds nice but the religion of a muslim restricts him from much interaction. if he takes christians and jews as friends then his of them (one of them), the pagans are unclean and we are commanded to slay them when the sacred months are out, yet we are command to be with those who are true in word and deed yet we are command to obey the messenger and to have nothing to do with the sectarianism.

so is anyone here true in word and deed? and not in a sect? not a jew? not a christian? not a pagan? not an unbeliever? not a rejector of faith? who obeys the messenger? who know the messenger among them? (one of the promises to Prophet Abraham by ALLAh is that he would feed his offspring with fruit and that ALLAH would always send a messenger to warn them before he comes to them with his punishment)? and also those with in the ranks of the messengers? and in the ranks of the righteous? in the ranks of the mujahirs (those who've left their homes in the cause of ALLAH)?

not just me ALLAH has appointed rites to each people, you all may have your restrictions to muslims who bow in islam as well (abrahamic monotheism is not a sect it's simply a way of life, the following of a path chosen by Prophet Abraham.

example jews and christians may say we invent a lie against ALLAH because he didn't send a messenger or a prophet after moses (jews) or jesus (christians) even the sectarianist say that no messenger will come after muhammed and i invent a falsehood against ALLAH. so to you all am i a muslim or a blasphemer?

is my beliefs correct or do i reject faith and follow a path untrue?

answer this question each person here and stand out for your true faiths, do i make up lies about almighty god? or do you reject the truth of almighty god?

we can never become friends until we can truth fully admit our views according to what our prophets has send down.

i'll go first i think everyone here is optimistically ignorant of the will of ALLAH.
we should hate pagans not reach out to them, and we should literally kill them like the horrible creatures they are.

we should view jews as rejectors of faith they are kafirs and the deserve to br ran through as well as christians but they believe in one god so we should hold patience with them and no hold friendships with them, who does more wrong then one who utters a lie against ALLAH? a rapist, a murderer, a terrorist(patriot, from the otherside of the looking glass), or the pimps, or the mafias and drug cartels?

                        who does more wrong?

as muslims anyone who is a sunni, a shite, a wahabi is a rejector of faith.

as a muslim anyone who does not follow the ways of Prophet Abraham is a rejector of faith.

as a muslim those who tell men to follow the sunna and to be like the prophet muhammed and say muhammed is the devote model for the faith is uttering a lie against ALLAh he has commanded different from the lies you say.

so as a muslim..... i have differings with many people and as a muslim i have differings with those who say they believe(it the only way to believe, that why the quran does not say "believe in......", was prophet abraham a christian? or was he a jew?

how about noah or adam? christians or jews?

to a muslim there is no faith but in ALLAH and the revealations by ALLAH the most recent book after the torah and the gospel is the quran.

i'm not full of hate i'm just being honest most of you know everyone is going to burn in hell so you decided to take a path of faith,
we all live on this earth and when a book is sent to this earth it most be blieved in and followed by the believers not added to pop culture like the bible and placed in every motel room. the way has always be to ALLAH, now let's be honest can we all really just get along? is that the will of an almighty god? life is just a video your watching, your actions, not taking two actions at once there are no if an buts about it.

i'm done with this discussion (which will trigger an unbeliever to re-involve me to post again)
the only things that can be done is debate ALLAH says to argue with them in ways which are best and if your receive a greeting then return one equal or better. please read your holy books on how to interact with these "new" people who say they are christians or muslims following an "un-promised" messenger. or these new converts who reject our prophet muhammed and follow the ways of prophet Abramham of all(just because ALLAH said so in the quran), and even say that the sunna is nothing in compare with the quran and invent rumours of a messenger living among us with the face of the buddha.
to you be your way and to me, mine
                        peace, peace
