What do people here believe the Quran says about Jesus and the Cross?

I have read many different beliefs from various Muslims and translations of the Quran. What do progressive Muslims believe on this topic?

and verse 4157 says that the jews' claim of killing or crucifying jesus is wrong .

I believe the story of the cross has been spoken to us as a rumor running about that people began to believe in.

The God says that this story was a similitude given to the people but they took it literal. We all know the literal, but the similitude refers to the truth that no one can crucify the WILL of MAN. We are responsible for our own wills and no man should die without awakening his/her will to be able to choose the God's way, otherwise we are just followers, and if you follow most people you will be led astray.
