Reading or memorizing the Quran without understanding...

Millions memorise Qoran, you could say it is the easiest book to memorise GOD made it that way.
Of course there are many verses that instruct us to study Qoran, I do not know of any that reject memorising it.?
However many deceived Arabic speaking people put too much emphasis on their ability to appreciate the literature excellence of the Quran , memorising it, while missing the point of the need to appreciate the message itself, by understanding it and following it. Hence others try to follow this trend.
Although it is the message of the Qoran that actually counts, I see nothing wrong with memorising it as well.
As well as studying Qoran, I made a promise,for my own interest, to learn Arabic and memorise Qoran few years ago.I am happy to be a long way in achieving this( What seemed an impossibility before I started) I am still rehearsing the "HM" chapters, I seem to confuse their order as some start with similar verses.
Hopefully,GOD willing , I will be able to close this chapter this year. I find it easy now to drive and study, in my head. Have a break and do more study. In short to memorise and study Qoran is more beneficial.
It is also easier to keep GOD in one s mind 24/7.
My opinion of course.

Non Arab Sunnis and Shias who have no knowledge of Arabic believe that God rewards them for reading or memorizing the Quran even though they do not understand it. Can you find any verses that reject this notion. Thanks!

Parroting Qur?an (and yes there are parrots taught to recite) without comprehension is little different than the rantings of a drunk.

Even if there isn't, it is clear that there is no use to it. The Quran clearly refers to itself as a "guide", not a book of spells and incantations (as most SuShis treats it).

none will understand it but men of understanding.
they don't understand that they don't understand, they only remember points of arguement so other's think they understand.
the quran says you can not believe except by the will of ALLAH, this people are need to lead others astray and create wars to bring the wrath of ALLAH on towns and cities whose populations like all other populations except the people of jonah did not believe.
they did understand the importance of ritual and faith, they did understand the purpose of life it's to worship ALLAH.
the more i read the quran the more i understand i have to "let" people die, they were always pissing off god and killing themselves with poisons anyway, will i simply go chasing after them as they call me here and there?
your duty is but to warn. if you warn them then hey your free of responsibility, tell them that understand these words and how they apply to your daily life is more important then tell people you completely understand it, i told you just now so i'm free of responsibility for "ye" do.
if it still bothers you then read the verse about the messenger how it grieves him that they go astray... practice self restrain and slay those kafirs by neglect and giving them rope. did you not read surah 9? did you not catch them out? you caught them in the wrong, right? also stop calling them your brothers in faith they don't sound like they believe what you believe.
