Islam means peace. What are the reasons for the present chaos in Islamic world.
-
Islam is a religion of peace. Since its inception in the seventh century the religion with its scriptures taught a lot to the world. But at present there is chaos in all the Islamic countries. The people who are supposed to be scholars(alim) of Islam with dresses similar to the Prophet of Islam instead of distributing knowledge have taken up arms and creating havoc in the society, for which life of the muslims residing in non Islamic states have become miserable. Where is the fault? Is it in the scriptures (Quran and Hadith) or in its interpretation and understanding? Is there any solution?

"Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? Every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears evil fruit. A good tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you can differentiate them by their fruits."
The religion of Islam, initially invented around 7th-8th century was invented with political supremacy and domination as a goal.
Rallying millions to sacrifice their lives with promise of heavenly bliss in the after life.Causing death, rape, robbery and massacre to the unbeliever.
Bringing wealth, respect and power to the (surviving) believer.Adopted, sponsored and enforced upon the commoner by political figure from myriad of ethnical background, from Arabs, Babylonian/Sumerian, Turkish, Mongol, Hindi, Malay, Moor.
The religion evolved as time progress up to the present moment.. branched into hundreds of sects and groups. There is no solution for the survivability of the religion of Islam.
The time is up for the religion of Islam.
It has reached it's peak and entering the sunset / declining period.Just like any other thing in this universe, following the lifecycle of born - growth - decline and finally death / destruction.
Nothing can escape it.The people however will survive.. they will adopt new idea and give birth to a different culture, bringing forth different kind of civilization.
Let's hope that it will be a better culture and civilisation...As the old bad tree is cut down and thrown into the fire, let's plant a new tree that shall bear good fruits.

First I would like to mention that Islam was not invented. It was the religion of Adam(AS) and rest of the prophets including Moses and Jesus. It was corrupted every time and was re-established by the prophets from time to time.
Regarding the cycle of religion (birth-peak-death) the cycle is observed in case of living beings only. There are religions much older than Islam (Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism etc ), but such a cycle is not observed in these religions. Then why should there be a life cycle for Islam. The problem is somewhere else.

Why is the world a mess?
http//i.imgur.com/a8C88nC.jpgJafar mentioned all the points I was going to make so I'm just going to add a few more.
Religion(Islam, Christianity, Judaism etc), science(atheism, evolution), politics(Left, right, center paradigm) are far more simpler belief systems than the truth. They can all be wrapped into one category. Sectarianism. The average human has no interest in searching for the truth. Going into sheep mode is much easier. Join a cult! That has been the way since the beginning of time. Not many people dare to step outside the herd of sheep they were born into. The religion of Islam is not the answer but part of the problem. There is no such thing as a "religion" of The GOD. The GOD has no religion. A peaceful religion is an oxymoron. Like a peaceful gang. Here are two verses from the book Muslims claim to follow that contradict their growing religion of 1.7+ bilion people
" you cannot guide whomever you love, but The GOD guides whomever He wants and knows best those who seek guidance." (2856)
"And if you obey most of those in the earth, they will lead you astray from The GOD's way; they follow but conjecture and they only lie."(6116)You cannot guide anyone when you yourself need guidance. Something Islamic scholars cannot seem to understand. Growing a beard and wearing a white dress is not going to enable you guide 1.7+ billion people.

The cube idol, Islamic sharia law and rituals did not exist at the time of Adam. They are all human inventions.
The religion of Islam came into existence when Zoroastrianism and Judaism where on their death beds. Islam is the new Zoroastrianism and Judaism. It is going through the same process other religions did. Birth, growth, decline and death.
As for Hinduism and Buddhism, those religions lost their political aspects. Islam is the only religion that has a death sentence for leaving it. It has its own politics, something many religions have lost over time.

Sanjan, haven't you realized that you made a conflicting statement?
First you said
Islam is a religion of peace. Since its inception in the seventh century the religion with its scriptures taught a lot to the world. But at present there is chaos in all the Islamic countries.
And then you said
First I would like to mention that Islam was not invented. It was the religion of Adam(AS) and rest of the prophets including Moses and Jesus. It was corrupted every time and was re-established by the prophets from time to time.
Unless you believe Moses and Jesus was living after the seventh century..
Definitely Moses and Jesus wasn't a member of the religion of Islam.
The religion of Islam requires it's member to proclaim the Shahada..
What would Moses and Jesus shahada be?Heck.. even Muhammad wasn't a member of the religion of Islam..
Regarding the cycle of religion (birth-peak-death) the cycle is observed in case of living beings only. There are religions much older than Islam (Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism etc ), but such a cycle is not observed in these religions. Then why should there be a life cycle for Islam. The lifecycle is observable in all things..
From things that is so big star, planet, galaxy even the entire continuum of space and time abide to the cycle of birth, grow, decline and death..
And so does abstract thing like Language, Script, Culture, Civilization, Nation, Ideology and Religion.
Along with Islam, the religion of Hinduism, Christianism and Judaism is on it's decline..
The decline of the religion of Judaism precedes the religion of Islam.. it has been declining since 2000 years ago...The Ancient Egyptian Religion (the forefather of Judaism) has been clinically dead / extinct since 1300 years ago..
Nobody ever heard or even believed in it's once infamous holy book...So does the Ancient Greek, Hittites, and Phoenician religion... all are extinct..
And so does any other ideology which is based on "dogma"... (which what makes a set of idea to become a religion)
All are declining... walking their sure way towards extinction... -
They were Me-selam (adjective). It cannot be a religion as (al-eslam) is not a noun but an adjective, i.e. it is descriptive. The prefix means "Be Such (+attribute)". Al marked words are not nouns unless there is or as suffix on them, but they are not proper nouns and proper nouns never have AL on them but the AL in that case it written apart such as in al ferauwn (Pharaoh).
In older times people referred to themselves as Yahood which means "ones who recognize" (plural through prefix and root also known/derived as/frm ى meaning that one basically recognizes the truth as it is. Quran mocks those who call themselves Yahood but are not Me-selam as that refers to that one is sound. It is contradictory to call yourself Yahood if you cannot think rationally and logically inferred by the word Muslim.
It was from there the incompetent medieval interpreters created their sect Islam, from a word that is an adjective. They were a Jewish Persian group that could not stand the association of the Gnostic (Nasara) faith that spread in the Middle-East or the Jewish old school faith (which was the authentic real faith, i.e. you stay in "Hell" only for a specific time depending on your performance). The Jewish old school faith adherents said "We are sons of God" and this was also something to strive towards. Today's Judaism is heavily corrupted.
God's faith has no name but only a description. You ought to be sound. Only then you have recognized, recognized the truth. It is not sound to be involved in religious rituals and rites and to be absorbed in this World. That is in fact very unsound. When Jesus came to the Pharisees he said they were the worst bunch of hypocrites and those later Persian/Pharisee clerics you are following by adhering to Islam (noun). Islam = The Pharisee sect described in the Biblical Gospels.
Selam/Salam does also not mean "peace" but "health" or referring to your integrity, e.g. your soundness. The antonyms would be blindness, madness or being unsound. There is also a good word called kafar which means deluded, i.e. like having a non-transparent black plastic bag over your head and try to walk and you would trip on everything because you have no perception.
Be safe

Say ye "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to prophets from their Lord We make no difference between one and another of them And we bow to Allah ."(Translation by A Yusuf Ali)
-
The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. "We make no distinction between one and another of His messengers." And they say "We hear, and we obey Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys."(Translation by A Yusuf Ali)

The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah - the which We have sent by inspiration to thee - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein to those who worship other things than Allah, hard is the to which thou callest them. Allah chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn . (Translation by A Yusuf Ali)
The 1st part of the shahada?La Ilaha Illa Allah? means there is no God(worthy to worship) except Allah that is ?monotheism?. All the prophets starting from Adam(AS) to Jesus preached the same. Since Prophet Muhammad(SAS) was not born in that period there was no need for the second part of the Shahada.Unless you believe Moses and Jesus was living after the seventh century..Definitely Moses and Jesus wasn't a member of the religion of Islam. The religion of Islam requires it's member to proclaim the Shahada..What would Moses and Jesus shahada be? Heck.. even Muhammad wasn't a member of the religion of Islam..
Islam means submission to the will of Allah or God. That is to depend on him for everything and to work as per his command. All the prophet did so.
I can not understand what do you mean by ?Prophet Muhammad(SAS)was not a member of the religion of Islam.? The above ayats mean the same.Regarding the cycle of religion if there is death of a religion the adherents must follow some other religion. What religion will the Muslims follow after the death of the religion of Islam?
-
-
.
Islam means submission to the will of Allah or God.Then Islam is an attitude and not a religion.
No shahada required.. no visiting to the black cube... no holy book.. no dogma...Given God will always have his plan / will fulfilled.. all the events that has happened is an actualization of His will / plan.
Regarding the cycle of religion if there is death of a religion the adherents must follow some other religion. What religion will the Muslims follow after the death of the religion of Islam?
Perhaps none.. no more religion...
The entire conception of "Religion" also has it's own birth, growth, decline and death.Herewith the data from U.S.

Shalom Aleikhem,
This doesn't belong in the Science section of the forum, does it?
To answer your question
The texts can be interpreted in so many different ways that we may conclude that the possibilities are virtually infinite. Therefore, if you dare blame the text, there will always be people who will propose an alternative interpretation. That makes it unfruitful of an approach to take to answer your question. I personally believe that it's a case of arrogant ignoramuses. When people without any knowledge of how the world works assumes the position of leadership and assumes that they know it all, how can you expect progress? That is the curse of the Islamic orthodoxy. They are too afraid to revise their interpretations, let alone stop bothering with the cancerous texts of Islam known as hadiths.
For example, when a Qur'anic verse says to chop off someone's hands, someone with access to Islamic historical documents will just go around chopping hands. However, someone who doesn't have access to that cancer will use their common sense and not try to establish such a barbaric practice. The verse can be interpreted in other ways too. They will have the freedom to explore the peaceful alternatives without being imprisoned by the shackles of hadiths/tafsirs.
Peace
------------ Student of Allah -
Islam is a religion of peace.
This is just something Muslims say. Yes, normal Muslim people are peaceful, like normal members of other religions, or normal atheists.
But when we say that Islam is a religion of peace, then from where do we get this notion? The texts that are officially part of Islam, contain much that is not peaceful at all. We cannot cherry pick here.Since its inception in the seventh century the religion with its scriptures taught a lot to the world.
What has it taught to the world?
But at present there is chaos in all the Islamic countries. The people who are supposed to be scholars(alim) of Islam with dresses similar to the Prophet of Islam instead of distributing knowledge have taken up arms and creating havoc in the society, for which life of the muslims residing in non Islamic states have become miserable.
It's not just a case of present s.c. Islamic countries. Even historic Muslim rulers were human beings, i.e. ruthless like any other conquerers of the past. I know that Muslims tend to think that all Muslim rulers were just, fair and good, but this is simply not reasonable to think. What I'm saying is that I don't think Muslims of today are different from Muslims of the past, people or rulers. Why? Because we are all human beings no matter in what age we live. Human beings are weak and corrupt.
Where is the fault? Is it in the scriptures (Quran and Hadith) or in its interpretation and understanding? Is there any solution?
The fault always lies in the human being. It doesn't matter if there are good or bad books, or both. Anything can be followed. The problem is that the human being doesn't think and ponder. The human being is blind and therefore gets swayed away by bad stuff. The problem is that we are arrogant and we haven't learnt yet to rely on our Rabb. If we rely on the Rabb, we automatically achieve peace. But, instead of relying on the Rabb, we follow desires and worldly things. Religions are included in those worldly things.
The start towards a path of solution is to go within, learn about yourself, start detoxing your mind through various methods like meditation, simple pondering and introspection, practising humility etc. Fear will ruin our efforts. Religion instills fear in us. People even fear being without fear. People think they'll go astray without fear.
People are also slaves to their emotions. People react to their emotions, which are chemicals in the body. This leads to war and revenge etc. The solution starts by changing from within. Books won't do a thing. It's a good start to desire peace and insight. The intention can set things in motion. Pray for and desire purification and humility. This would resemble a solution. Intention and desire for honest betterment.
Peace

You have come to the right point. There is nothing wrong with the text. Following somebody does not mean that you should do exactly the same thing what he did. Let us take the example of a cricket coach. He may not be a famous player but he knows some basic techniques. A talented player follow the techniques and applies his own talent with it and becomes a famous player. The coach is credited for the player. But in Islam our scholars (the so called alims) are not allowing any deviation from the basic principles. The Quran and the sunna are made static. Modernity is not accepted in Islam.
The chopping of the hand is a kind of severe punishment. Why a punishment was prescribed? It is to reform the people, so that no body dares to do an act which is prohibited and is harmful to the society. At the time of the prophet there were no other ways for punishing a person which are available at present, like imprisonment for a certain period. We could have opted for that instead of chopping the hand. But we failed to understand the meaning of the Quranic injunction.
Similar is the case for the hadiths also. The prophetic hadiths were not applicable to all at any time. The worst of the men present at the time of the prophet were far better than the best of the men today. What were applicable to them at that time may not be applicable to the people today at present situation. There may not be anything wrong in the hadiths, but the method of interpretation is wrong. Instead of understanding the meaning behind we are applying these Quranic or hadith injunctions as it is.
