Religion in and of itself

I guess you could call this topic the origin of religion.
And when I say religion, I don't really mean religion. Bear with me, this is going to be rather complex.
First of, let me present to you "my" understanding of reality. Based upon that you may get a better understanding of what I'm trying to get at.We've got earth, humandkind starts evolving, or "put" on earth (creationism), whatever you prefer, since it's not really relevant.
God gives these humans "signs" (through prophets?) on how to live life. Be good, share, help each other, etc.
Humans take these "signs" and create polytheism Firegod, Windgod, Thundergod. etc.
Inbetween these "religions" there are still many signs from God.
This happens all over the world.
Greek Gods vs Indian Gods vs Roman Gods.
All of them were given signs from God and out of these signs they created religions.The Pharaoh's people as well, were given signs, they created their own religion.
Moses corrects the religion (as well as oppression).Jews start creating rules etc, religion is born again.
Jesus is send to correct them.Religion is born again, instrumentalized through white Jesus painting (identification) and disenfranchisement through churches.
In another part of the world we have Mohammed send to polytheists, they are corrected in their beliefs as well.
And then they start inventing rules and creating another religion brickwallI guess what I'm trying to get at is, that there is no such thing as religion. If God is truly real. Then what's the point of speaking of religion? Is religion not something akin to nationalism? Or like a sportsclub? Creating a "we" and "them" feeling?
In my opinion, belief is something that should be personal; Individual. There shouldn't be a person who tells others what is wrong and what is not. Sure, communicate with one another, but don't start creating groups/cliques and identifying yourselfs as "Name of religion/sect".
Or worse, militant atheists throwing punches at people for believing in God(s) and identifying them as "religious" and creating "mass identities(religion)".The biggest problem I've got with terminologies like religion is that it leads into group/mass thinking, rendering it's "believers" impotent when it comes to self-critic. = Blind faith.

I'd like to hear opinions on this though, do you approve, oppose? I'm interested.
Sorry if anyone is offended, these are merely my opinions &Edit Something that would interest me. Where in the Quran does it say that the "religion" that "muslims" follow is the "Islam"? If anyone knows, I'd appreciate if you'd share.
I can't find anything like that anywhere. And to my understanding, the idea of "Islam" as a religion was invented many many years after the death of the Prophet. Did the prophet not speak of there being one God and none other. When did he ever speak of "Islam" as we know it today? -

Quran does not refer to Islam as a label but descriptively as like an adjective. You can be muslim not "a muslim". And the word itself means "sound, and which in itself could be seen as "being sane".
The word Salam from which "E slam" (Islam) is derived has no meaning of submission as indicated by some people. If you say Salam as a greeting to someone you basically say "Be well" and is similar to the English archaic "hail" from Germanic "hel" which means "whole", i.e. you wish someone to be healthy and the word Salam means exactly the same albeit in Semitic origin languages.
You can here add 1 + 1 and you see that if you are 'islam' it means you are healthy (whole) rather than broken/shattered.

AmenuelThis is definitely an interesting point of view.
That totally supports my understanding of these words having been "instrumentalized" as a means of controlling society, even if not intentionally, it resulted in a differentiation of oneself from others.I actually live in Germany, wishing someone "Heil" means the same as wishing them wholeness/health
It was probably used as a greeting, and nowadays in Germany no one uses it because of the "Heil Hitler" salute.May we all stay Islam
