Are pigs unclean?

Hi,
It looks to me that you implemented the answers you want to hear in your questions
I agree with the answers you like to hearNo no, I'm preferring a position, but that doesn't mean that people have to agree with me ;D
And who knows I might change my opinion/position depending on how the arguments are.Pigs eating living humans sounds pretty brutal to me.
Makes me rethink this whole thing, though I'm still unpositioned/unsure.
Thanks for all the replies.

As far as I know they wouldn't eat them if they are not in their food.Only if they ar in their food. They do not persecute humans or do anything against them y they are not in their food.
Pigs, like any other animal is not human, doe not think as human. It would be silly to expect from them such behaviour. They are not dogs either. Dogs are a blissing and amarvellous gift of God to humans because they are a species so easy and gratifying to get along one feels inclined to correspond to their sincerity and loyalty likewise, but all animal are not dogs either and of course they have the right to be wht they are, like viruses.
If you have pigs a friends nothing worng that I can see, but just don't fall in their food and on't let them fall in yours.
By the way we also do not eat dogs and we ar very close to them. (except for the chow chows the chinese eat).

Can khinzir be translated to mean other than pigs?
I read somewhere khinzir can also be translated as 'bad or meat gone bad'. Thus its a general prohibition on consuming 'bad meat' rather than a specific animal.
All animals including humans have bacterias that aid the process of decomposition upon death. Sometimes the bacteria activates prior to death, thats where you get the flesh eating bacteria disease requiring quick amputation or else death. Only carnivores are able to consume these decomposing meat, for humans can be deadly.
I personally find pigs meat on its own taste near to meat that is going rotten, personally its not tasty. I guess that is why pigs are called khinzir, taste like rotten meat?
Peace.

Isthere in arabic another word that would mean pig with more property than khinzir? On the other hand saying forbidding rotting meat is a bit of overdoing, in the ense that nobody doubts that rotten meat is not eatable. But many people doubt in fact do not doubt but aare sure that khinzir meat is very good. So I do think that pig is meant. Also pig's are most similar to human. and pigs meat's taste is like human meat' taste, and therefore no healthy, because of the similarity.

Talking about igs, I have just read a real event which happened with a ship under a very heavy storm, it mored but was pushed by the very strong winds to the rocks where it would have shattered. Fromone momento the next it could be the end for her and the people on board. And then one of the stranded thought that they still had a pig for food in the hold, so the tied a role to the pig and the rope to the cable of the ship and put the pig on the water to swim and come to the beach where help was wating, but the heavy storm made impossible any rescue, so indeed the pig swam and saved the people, no the ship, which got finally destroyed against the rocks but the people tied tothe cable wa saved. So, one might say that te itention of eating pigs and not having eaten the last one saved them.
He could do that I guess ecause with so much fat it floated all right. I don't know whether he was ginally eaten or given a medal.

There are a few who make that claim, but none who can answer this
http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9599591.msg234462#msg234462Sorry Wakas, I don't get you.
Anyway, I don't eat pig's meat because the meat taste awful but if its 'bad meat' it will be harmful. Either way I am ok until a time when the Quranic word becomes more clear to me. Peace.

Pork as meat does also hold a bad quality and in addition to that our genes are fairly similar in the tissue so it is basically cannibalism to consume it too.
If Quran uses haram as a word then it implies that it is not recommended to eat it.
Wellness to you
