Why are we worshipers and hence servants?
-
Languages have several parts and aspects. Syntax of Quran has been difficult aspect of language. It has been more difficult partly due lacking linguistic resources about syntax. Lately, I am getting a better handle over this aspect. Hence, I am revising the translations done in past. One such Sura is Al Kafiroon.
Badar
Surah 109 1
Think of expressing falsehood, O you lethargic in unwise actions; the ones hiding sufficient and fulfilling knowledge, due to denial of facts and ingratitude to all benevolence.
Surah 109 2
I am not an object of worship, why are you worshippers or servants?
Surah 109 3
Since you are not worshippers or servants, why should I be an object of worship?
Surah 109 4
Since I am not a worshiper, why have you become worshipers?
Surah 109 5
Since you are not worshippers or servants, why should I be an object of worship?
Surah 109 6
For you all are your habits and customs, and for me are my habits and customs.

We are not family and have nothing to offer ALLAH. It how we can live in the presence of the almighty.
We are not sons and daughters of God no blood ties and promises of that nature.
We simply serve and worship or embrace the punishment. Or two choices on this earth. -
Son or daughter is a metaphorical address by Rabb and not implied as physical.
The body is a son of a body but the Spirit is a son of Rabb, but that takes whether the seed will develop into a person at all or remain a primitive primate. Otherwise one cannot claim to be other than the son of a man and a woman.
The word ibn has more implications than to just straight translation into son. It means one has something of someone else. If the Spirit is being, then one has that of Rabb. It is like kick-starting it and developing it.
Otherwise one is only a dim-witted primate which instinctively follows others and is narrow-minded.

simile
a figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another thing of a different kind, used to make a description more emphatic or vivid (e.g. as brave as a lion ).
A metaphor is a figure of speech that refers to something as being the same as another thing for rhetorical effect. It may provide clarity or identify hidden similarities between two ideas. Where a simile compares two items, a metaphor directly equates them, and does not use "like" or "as" as does a simile.(she is walking dictionary).
lot of people like man of faith have their own understanding of interpreting quran, everybody have freedo of choice to make whatever ideas they want , but there is a language barrier they need to cross while making any judgement,
i will not go in to details but just for my brother man of faith i will expalin him how languages work with respect to human limited mind and God the ultimate knowledge, same like dos or pentium one processor cannot support high defination softwares, same we need to understand first the science of language and here we are talking about arabic,
when something is missing in our understanding we use a grammer world similie,(tashbee) in arabic and urdu like describing somebody beauty , we can say she is as beautiful as rose,
her eyes are so deep like ocean,
on the second sense when there is nothing to compare and similies are also not fitting in the defination we use methapor for describing exact meanings or quality
like , this girl is devil
this girl is piece of shit,
this girl is Godess of beauty,
she is an angel, but all this is a grammer human use to understand. our grammer is limited and when we didnt encounter any thing we can compare or specially in term of God and unseen things , the ideas comes in our minds that what we call idealogy.
idealogy in language only make sense if we go to the idea that exactly match, but in the case of God let me clear one thing , when Allah communicate with his servants/creation he talks in a manner that they understand . so the closest word that match with the meanings of that subject Allah use that word to make you understand ,what he try to tell you,,
in short the grammer of human is limited whereas Allah have unlimited knowledge ungraspable knowledge, uncalculated knowledge, ununderstandable knowledge.
so when he use words from our grammer its mean these words are closest to the understanding of human knowledge and vision.
now i m giving one example it will clear lot of concepts hope so inshAllah.
Allah blow the spirit in to humankind/humanity/mankind.
here he use Blow in terms of similie or methapor,
we know what is our blow , how its works, for example i can stop the flame of fire in candle using my blow.
that how my blow work, about Allah blow, no body really get results what it is, what is the nature of blow, and moreover some people leads it towards unfavorable ideas like we all from inside the God. so we are part of God .
thats not the case , its just the language issues , anyone who claim they can interpret the language of grammer in exact understanding , its mean they are not true , exact meanings of quran and its grammer is only known to God,
Allah use the word blow to describe you according to your understanding, of language thats why classical period never finsihed yet, and in a classical period of quran it was somewhat similar to poetry when quran revealed , we neeed to learn poetry along with other modern things , scientific things to better understand the interpretation of quran.
examples are just examples , whether its about hell/paradise/ angels/Allah u cant get exact results of hidden things specially not in this worldy life.

Imran,
The whole language in which Quran is written is innately a language of God. It does follow some fascinating formula and it does not follow the usual natural development of languages due to its structure since it cannot change being built from each symbol of the language which in formation tells the reader/listener what it likes to convey.
As for my usage of metaphor was due to the latter part of my post concerning the linguistic meaning of ibn which is used to translate son in English being not entirely accurate. I was saying that it does not refer physically to the person but the person is only on abstract level a son. It would be like calling Abraham father despite that he has no biological tie to you.
I know you were trying to put me down in some way, but of course I did not elaborate myself very well and yes I was not perfect in articulation. Lack of time and hammering on a smartphone is my excuse. Hopefully some witted person can still get where I was going.
Be well

I know you were trying to put me down in some way
trust me i did not try any thing like that,
God bless you , i said somethinng already that everybody have their own iinterpretation and everybody free to beleive anny idea , it nothing personal , even ghulam ahmed pervaiz have similar ideas of some of ur claims regarding jinn, but my point waz not to focus on grammer of human , our language is a vision that interpret the ideas comming in mind, same when Allah talks about His things , we dnt really need to discover the law behind it,
its quran from which every grammer of arabic and lliterature derived out. so asking about grammetical error in quran hold no water , as we know all grammer need to correct themselves through quran. becoz everyboody must agree that its the masterpiece of poetry and literature ,
peace
nothing personal
God bless you -
Mof has a point it's almost a math thing. A true that points to a similar truth it like 2+2 it give you limits to reasoning it gives you example methods of finding the next true or discovering a flaw.
Had you ever thought about how smart you've become after reading the Quran? How you now posses a degree of knowledge and reason above many of your peers?
People still ask "how can you tell?"And slowly your coming to the question "Why can't you?"
Remember chemistry is always magic to an idiot lol.
