Eid al Fitr/al-Adha

Salam,

The Quran only mentions the word eid once, and it is about the disciples wanting a sign from God in the form of a feast. And that's it. Maybe I have missed it, but Quran doesn't mention any of these two celebrations.

However, there is a hadith book (Sahih Bukhari book 15 "The Two Festivals (eids)". This hadith collection contains all the rituals the majority of "muslims" do, e.g. eating a date to break the fasting because it's purifiying...

I don't think eid al fitr and al adha is from Quran, but from hadiths!
Anyone with knowledge regarding these two?

At any date that you celebrate the day... on any sects / religion..
