Intro, 3 questions, my story!

I'm curious if any members of this forum host any Quranic study groups from their home or anything like that.
Peace bro,
Welcome to the forum welcome
We have alQuraanic study group of almost 15+ persons.
But we are in India.I am very sorry to hear your story.
Keep your trust in Allah. He is the best planner of all. -
I am in CA. I do not mind not having any Quran only mosque. But then again, if one is built, it may become the target of Islamophobes, I mean sectarians who have problem with our view. I am rather interested in having some kind of a Quran only organization through which we can take care of different communities and promote progress for the entire world.
Where I am located, there are 5 Muslim communities within 15 miles of one another. They're pretty conservative around here. I think it's a great location for a study group to turn into something more profound.
I am sorry to hear about what she did. Wasn't the engagement a little too quick?
I know it will hurt you for awhile, but it will pass. No two days will ever remain similar. I would still say that the quick breakup saved you from future pain.
I didn't think so. I've known her for about 10 years. I knew her family, she knew mine. I thought we were laying a solid foundation. I'm not the type to do things in haste. I mean, we were talking about the importance of marriage very early on (and we didn't believe in the boyfriend/ girlfriend relationships). There was no idleness in our interaction. Anyway, I don't know, ya know?
Thank you much Reel

Aww, those are very sweet words that ended up having an empty meaning. I am sorry that happened to you Kosq. God will guide you to the right person at the right time.
Thank you Natasha. I am faithful and hopeful for the future always. With our deen, how could I not be?

I personally would advise to be in a romantic relationship for at least a solid year before marrying someone. You can be looking at a completely different person viewing them as a friend vs. viewing them as a long-term romantic partner.
A year establishes a good amount of time to learn and develop as a couple. If you can wait until the 2 to 3 year mark, that's even better. The infatuation period can last up to or even a little longer than 2 years. On top of that, studies show that couples who have waited a year or longer before engagement decrease their chances for divorce by 20 to 39%.

The intention was marriage but we were not getting married yet. I think all the physical stuff (premartial sex, ect) that couples get into during the dating and courting process is what interferes with truly getting to know one another and properly gauging the compatibility. Proper courtship shouldn't take years, but shouldn't be a sprint either.

Ah, okay. That makes better sense now. )
I would disagree with your opinion on more physical relationships, but only because I think it depends on the couple themselves, the situation, and of course - how you define marriage.
With so much access to the Internet, so many people are now meeting online. Not even through entirely through dating websites anymore - but through simple social media. People are connecting and learning more about one another more than ever before. But of course, in these types of relationship there is no physical interaction involved, at least not at first. Naturally though, these relationships don't always work out, and need to be built on a good foundation of trust and honesty. If the foundation is there, then the couple can get to know each other really well.
Aside from that, any couple that is sincerely intent on maintaining their purity shall maintain it, I'm sure. Those who don't care, can be with those who don't care. )
About courtship length... I am fine with waiting a few years myself (to get legally married). I don't want to wait forever though. Eventually I feel that most people want some kind of serious sign of commitment after a few years. Some couples who wait too long to marry (>8 years) seem to have marital trouble.

lol, if you don't think like them it is unlikely for them to get your view.

I am sorry to hear that. The best you can do is to close your door on her. This, for some reason, works in majority of the cases.
exactly you are right, its like to invite a death course after you.. lot of ignorant are ready to give their life for the sake of getting paradise and its very easy to make a criminal brainwash, how tribal people do .... what actually they do, when somebody commit a murder by accident or mistake or in a family revenge they tell him you are hell dweller now whether you murder one or 100 it dosent matter... now there is a way to reedem get yourself sacrifice for the sake of God and come in the list of shaheedand then its not lawfull for the hellfire to touch you... and some of them become gangster or serial killers... what a shame..
and if somebody finally manage to buitl a mosque its a high risk of putting other people life on death so better avoid it..
let see it by an example before islam chhristanity was in control and i didnt see any chruch where anybody claim God alone church ,,,
but what we will do inshallah we will make best use of this tecnology which is a gift to us to spread message on social media...
no need to make mosque or keep beard... the real lover of God keep his rabb inside his heart....
peace
God bless youDid you read Al Qaida's A Course in the Art of Recruiting? The brainwashing tactic, they use seems to be heavily focused on talks about heaven and hell. You can take a look at it here http//www.onemagazine.es/pdf/al-qaeda-manual.pdf Note that the entire manual is a "brainwasher" targeted even at the recruiter. It is an eyeopener. I haven't found a single page in which the writer tells the recruiter and his target to refer to Quran. The brainwashing is heavily dependent on "lectures" of the mullahs.

Oh no, I'm not at all interested in shifting their view. I was simply stating that the other communities here are conservative (don't bother each other). A good area to build something.

I have learned it the hard way that there is no Solid Foundation at all for a Marriage,
except the strong Belief and deep Devotion of a Man and a Woman in their hearts to the Same GOD.
And only and especially when/if that Same GOD Blesses that Marriage, in the first place. In this respect, the most ideal and long lasting Marriage of Prophet Abraham and Prophetess Sara
may be the Perfect Example, for all of us. (Please, see it in TORAH, Genesis, Chapter 20, 21, 22, 23)
http//biblehub.com/esv/genesis/20.htmI guess that Woman who betrayed you (for the sake of a concocted idol now) may know this true Love Story
(=of course, it is not like empty "love --of money-- stories" of our time, but Love --of AL-LAH-- Story above)
better than us because it is in their BIBLE.So, if I were in your shoes, this is what I would do
I would do my best to let that Woman hear and know that
we absolutely believe in the Same GOD (=The One and Only GOD of Abraham).Prophet Jesus (Peace be upon Him) clearly foretold about and strongly confirmed the QURAN,
especially for/in this Third and Last Day (=i.e. Third and Last Millennium here now)===============================
The Words of Prophet Jesus
http//www.19covenant19.com/mucize_detay_id182.htmlIf she truly gives ear and hearkens to this true GOSPEL MESSAGE above,
may AL-LAH make her return to you like a "Sara" (=Princess),
if not, may AL-LAH grant unto you --and unto each and every of HIS truthful Servants-- a "Sara" (=Princess),
in the future, inshaAL-LAH,
when/if we hearken to the MESSAGE of AL-LAH with all our heart & mind & soul & strength.Remain in peace/salaam.

Peace Everyone,
I've been roaming the website for a few years now actually. I've enjoyed so many topics and views. It has certainly been a blessing. I'm utterly bummed out that there is no mosque available to me that does not compromise the Deen. It's been over 10 years since I've been a part of a religious center and I do miss aspects of it. I desire most of all to be around like minded people who want to make a positive difference in the world. So if you're close to Philadelphia (I'm in Wilmington) I'd love to meet you!
Question- Why are there only like one or two mosque that claim to uphold the Quran only (or perhaps I'm wrong)? How come they aren't springing up all over the country?
The past two months have been challenging for me. I was engaged to marry an amazing Christian woman whom I truly loved. I felt totally secure in the relationship. She posted a detailed, beautiful post about me (us) that brought so many of her family and friends to tears (including my mother). It marked 6 months of being together. She expressed that it was the "most amazing experience of her life". Yet, less than 3 weeks later, she was giving me an ultimatum to, "Fully accept Christ or we can't be together". For the following 5-7 days I did my best to reason with her to no avail. She said that God had called her into His ministry and that I had a choice to make. She apologized for letting the relationship go on as long as it did while knowing in her heart of hearts that our religious difference didn't sit well with her. We prayed together each night (we would alternate who prays), but she never added Christ to the prayer out of respect for my beliefs (I never asked her do that-I simply shared my views with her). Said she had recently asked God for forgiveness for not including Christ in our prayers. Anyway, this is the 2nd thing I'm bummed out about ( Peace/ Love to all
peace Kosq and welcome to the forum handshake
RED mosques costs a lot of money and imo there are better things to spend our money on than a mosque.
As for your relation problem, I am unfortunately not an expert in these kind of things to give you some good advice.
What does she mean with fully accept Christ? Does it mean you have to believe and act exactly as she does, or just simply believe in Christ? -

Peace Bender. Thank you
I'm not referring to something that would require a lot of money per say. Just somewhere for us to come together. People want to know where they can go to meet with God alone Muslims. One brother said that he and 15+ others meet regularly in India. I used to secure a conference room once per week at my local library so 7 of us could convene for a self improvement class.

She meant to accept him as God's son and the king God placed over His kingdom. These I could not do. Anyway, I just have to make sure the next time around that I and the woman I am building with are truly aligned in our beliefs and values. It's the only way for me moving forward.
Peace

The Messiah warned already for Synagogues. Read the Gospel. We learn from the Quran that the Gospel is Light and Guidance. What we also learn from the Gospel is to go to our room, and close the door, and pray there in private to God.
Anyways, i have never, ever, seen a mosque that is free from "shirk".
And the point is, we shouldn't forget about the Tabernacle.
