I will never go on Hajj because I'm against everything Saudi stands for.

Does anyone else feel a strong need to boycott Hajj because of human rights abuses in Saudi Arabia?
- I will not go somewhere that suppresses free speech and poetry.
- I will not pay money to a government that does not protect women and foreign workers.
- I will not support a monarchy when our Prophet himself was part of an emerging proto-democracy.
- I will not buy into an Islam dictated by Saudi Wahhabi/Salafi/extremist scholars who have exported their version of Islam around the globe.
Not that I have a problem with being the only one feeling this way, I was just curious to see if there were other self-identifying Muslims out there who also feel conflicted about this. It just doesn't seem right.

I think the theory upheld by Pazuzu makes far more sense than Petra or or any other proposed.
Seek threads started by him.
Petra was a very rich city beayiful and impressive, bu I saw no kaaba there or does i match he record and the qura'nic text as do he facts given by Pazuzu, who himself worked on the footseps of Kamal Salibi, but went further and invesigated a lot.

I find it interesting that from my studies The Quran
does not assign special status to a certain city, implying the models of Abraham/Muhammad can be re-instituted wherever
there is controversy surrounding the original location of Quranic revelation and the messenger
evidence is unable to pinpoint a specific locationIn other words, if we knew for sure it was a certain location this would inevitably give that location special status, but it just so happens Quran does not promote a specific location and we cant seem to find it either - just a coincidence?

As someone who has gone to Mecca and Kabba for about 5 times, i'm convinced that what is going on there is a legacy of Pagan Meccan's ritual. In which from my point of view, fine to certain degree. In similar fashion as the Christmas, Halloween, Chinese New Year celebration etc.. It's a tradition thing.
There is nothing wrong on going there yet there's also nothing wrong of not going there either...
Thus if anybody refuses to go there.. truly it's fine as it doesn't matter...Saudi Arabia's oppressive, dogmatic and dictatorial regime is not my topmost priority, by dogmatic and dictatorial regime I mean both the Saud family and the Wahabbis clerics / institution under their payroll.
My topmost priority is 'people's mindset'.. and at the moment their multi billion dollar campaign of spreading hatred towards the Shiites is most precarious than the spreading the myth of "mandatory ritual to the black stone otherwise God will torture you for all eternity". As can be seen on regular theme of preaching inside Sunni's mosque worldwide about the 'danger of apostasy and Shiaism". The Saud family are gearing up a war, which might caused millions of death if it happens.. the ISIS, Yemen is merely a precursor for that..
Oh did I mentioned that they have nuclear weapons too now?

If it were a mater of regimes or wrong hthings doen or upheld here or there, people would have many reasonns to go nowhere in the world.
It depends on what has the strongest pull either something which we seek somewhere or sommething we strongly reject somewhere.
As far as Im concerned I can barely stand multitudes and never would be in a multitude by choice. Agains it is a matter of the pros nd the cons. If I ever went to Saudi Arabia it would be where I would be guaranteed asmuch as anything can be guaranteed of no mobs or multitudes.
I think Saudi Arabia can be a very interesting place, like Yemen, where I have always wanted to go and now does not look as if was going to be feasible... Thank God I have been able to see Petra at least.

I am not one who thinks that one place or people is better or more interesting than others, but when something is singled out for utter destruction I worry very much.
