    peace brother timotheous,

i actually say to give your opinions on .. the words "from another people"

who are these people?... and then i represent my understandings. the traditional story is just to make people aware about the accounts of history cliams...

you can re-read OP please .. and give views if you have any

    God bless you

    Know it; Your Sustainer Lord; the Absolutely Independent, the Fountain of the Mercy;
Should He so decide He could cause you people offstage; and bring in prominence and power after you those He decides.
It would be like as He the Exalted had given you prominence in the posterity of bygone people.

"anybody else" by it you mean other species?

Ayah is referring to other people; earlier generations/civilization.

I thik the Qur'an says, and paleontology says that there have been prior humaniies. We are no he first. God created a "successor" (khalifa) to Him? of coure not. We are tthe successors of previous humanities. And of course, here can be ohr humanities which may succeed us.

That is wha he Qur'an says.

                  Peace be with you,

                  who are theese other people? i dont know. what i do know is thi;

Allah, who initiates creation and repeats it.

It seems clear to me, from the quran, and the previous scriptures that there is 'nothing new under the sun' that 'what has been done will be done' and i believe that we are just a repitition of a previous cycle of beings.. i dont know who or what or how, but thats not important, what is important is why, which we should all know the answer to if we carefully study the quran.

let us turn to our Lord all together, and seek our creator, and Master

                  peace

6133 And your Lord is the Rich, possessor of Mercy. If He wished,
He could remove all of you and bring after you whom He pleases,
just as He established you from the seed of another people.

i want views of members on this particular verse what actually was before us...

Such is the natural mechanism, whether it's among humanoid or even different species..

This planet was once full of reptiles... He removed all of them.. (through natural catastrophy) to make room for the mammals to grow. From among the mammals.. primates and then humanoids came into the existence...

He removed dinosaurs bring after it a cohort of mammals...

Now let's zoomed in on what happened among humanoids.. (as the words being used above are 'kawm' which is a definition of human group).

All of you are a product of a cross breed between human groups..
Take any identity... you're a middle easterner? your ancestry varies from Neanderthal, Caucasian, African, Egyptian, Israelites, Turkic and Mongols / Asians. You're an american? your ancestry varies from Pacific Islander, Native Americans, African and European origin.

God bringing in another people / tradition replacing an existing people / tradition within a specific territory is a normality according to history. It happens so many many times.. Some calls it "invasion of foreigners" or even "colonization".. The "foreigners" will then interbred with the 'losing natives' and bring forth a different people / tradition usually a mixed up one...

Zoomed more in into the context and main audience of Quran.. (read Middle East, 1400 years ago)..
God has bring forth the Turks and the Mongols to conquer middle east after 1000 AD. (around 300-400 years after Quran)
For many centuries the main audience of the Quran (Native Middle Easterners, Jews Arabs Syrians, Persians, Egyptians whatever take your pick) fell into servitude of their foreign invader. The foreign invaders interbreed with the (surviving) natives and give birth to today's middle easterner people and myriad traditions..

The verse is actually a WARNING..
In plain blunt language it is "SHAPE UP YOUR ATTITUDE! OTHERWISE I WILL REPLACE YOU WITH ANOTHER PEOPLE".

The Tanakh also contains similar message / warning. to the Israelite.. infact the majority of the message was the warning above..

And the Gospel also contain similar parable
                    https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parable_of_the_talents_or_minas

In short Use wisely all the talents, resources and blessings that you have.. otherwise those blessings shall be given to other people or even another creation / species.. and don't be arrogant or prideful of your blessings as the more blessings that you have, the more responsibility that will be put as your burden.

"The greatest among you shall be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."
                    -- Matt 2312

"A man's pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor."
                    -- Proverbs 29
