    Peace HP_TECH.

To me we must take the message of Qoran seriously and check every word ourselves, here is why
    2517
On the day when He summons them, together with the idols they had set up beside God, He will say, "Have you misled these servants of Mine, or did they go astray on their own?"

    2518
They will say, "Be You glorified, it was not right for us to set up any lords beside You. But You allowed them to enjoy, together with their parents. Consequently, they disregarded the message and thus became wicked people."

    2519
They have disbelieved in the message you have given them, and, consequently, you can neither protect them from the retribution they have incurred, nor can you help them in any way. Anyone among you who commits evil, we will commit him to severe retribution.

May the Lord help us to become one of these
    2573
When reminded of their Lord's revelations, they never react to them as if they were deaf and blind.

    GOD bless you.
    Peace

Thank you for reminding me of these verses, but how does your interpretation of the verses relate to the poll?

      Salam,

Currently, and for the past month, I have decreased a lot in reading the Quran. Before it was almost reading everyday, but now it's 2-3 times a week.
I also translate it more than reading.

I feel guilty for not reading, maybe someone else too?

Perhaps a good reason is because I don't like reading from screens, I want it in a book-form, and the current physical Book I have is outdated in the translation '(

I have only read FM's Quran and multiple times.

Is this what you were looking for? )

      Salam

I read daily. I take the message seriously.
But often, I am too lazy to carry out a proper research of things I find difficult.
However ,verses like the ones I quoted spur me on to persevere.

It is a hard task to carry out.
I mean to say reading is the easy part, understanding is much harder.
              GOD bless you.
              Peace.

My experience when reading Quran Al Kareem has/is always been
the same, i.e., I feel and become connected to the revelation.
with what I term "down on the ground" with the believers over time.
Sometimes the "voice" is so loud it drowns out all sensory input
and I find myself so relaxed and at peace.

                  Thanks for asking.

                  peace

                    Salam brother

The Quran is the only book that come out authoritative compared to other religious books. The tone the Quran conveys in whatever form despite bad translations is authoritative. When distress the Quran comforts me, when jubilant the Quran scares me, when alone the Quran accompanies me. Reading the Quran in whatever language does not dilute its main message. The knowledge and wisdom from the Quran does not come during reading, it comes during contemplation, dream, sleep, in conversations, writing - the quran answers your doubts even in odd places! Even the hardest of concept, the nature of god is given, not much but enough and if fortunate you can feel it rather than express it because expression is forbidden due to language inadequacy thus it is a private experience rather than one that can be shared - to avoid blasphemy.

UNFORTUNATELY, those who approach the Quran with less than a sincere heart will also get their wish - if they wish to be misled, they will - that itself is a miracle!

The truth from the Quran comes in stages depending on the person's readiness. Thus there is no need to question whose truth is ultimate truth because it becomes a matter of the unseen - what is seen by you may not be seen by others. The realisation needs to be natural otherwise you become a pretender. The realisation cannot come from outside but from within and you are not fooling anyone but yourself because the charlatan does not bring anyone benefit.

But the Quran has been abused, translations have been corrupted for political gains and it has been abandoned.

I love the Quran, it is a consolidating book of all previous teachings - it only retains what needs to be retained but yet many seem to miss this point and waste their time studying irrelevant texts. That is why the only reference required today is the Quran. Although one may choose to rely on the present old and new testament but one needs to filter out unnecessary information that was added as corruption and leave out what was superseded for future generations and that is why those who uphold the Quran need not take any other books despite those books being older testaments. After all the main message to humankind remains the same throughout civilisations BUT yet many fail to see it. Y? Y? Y? Y? Y?
Maybe they see it but do not act on it. Just like today, many complaint about oppression but too little take action and those who do get killed by those in power.

                    Salam
