Peace Nural and all
I was a student and will be again this summer. Hopefully after that in two years I will be in College/University.
I currently have worked for over a year at Tim Hortons's but I will not be there for much longer as I have raised the issue of recycling and donating our leftovers-rather than trashing the left overs which comprimise at least half of the store-and it was made clear to me that these are not 'real' problems. It is sad because I said that if we reduced our garbage we would not have to pay so much for the pick up, in response I was told that wether there is alot or little garbage we still pay the same price, thus they show'd that the broken record playing in their mind was the OJay's 'Money. Money, Money... Money!'
Also, I feel I must mention this. The reason for the mass disposal of food is because it has a short shelf life (it is cooked, frozen then re-cooked at the store) of I believe 4-5 hours before it starts to wrinkle like flesh in a long bath. However, roughly 3 years ago the store's used to have everything made in the store which gave it a shelf life of 1 - 2 days and if you visit stores which are generally independint or small in number you can tell how much more 'alive' the food is that has being made fresh on the spot. Now a baker whom I was discussing this with mentioned that Tim Hortons will be opening five hundred new locations next year (either in the US or Canada) and the logical reason for having everything pre-cooked is because there are more stores than chefs. One's logic tells me that there is only so far you can oppress someone before they press back (oe plant a seed beneath, it sprouts above ) , so their success evidently will be their death if they do not reform their ways. Sorry for this lenghty post, I had to get this off my chest!!
In the future (next week) I will search for jobs in books and art related fields. My above job was hardly in vain I must say as I have built up a great deal of endurance and have a greater control over my emotions/self and have learned a great deal about people, as well as struggle/pain (there is always relief!).
Peace,

Peace all
yay!!! long live the frankenfood coorporations. They shoudl be ashamed of themself, selling people toxic garbage as food. Especially McD, their cost to the environment is unbelievable. Im not trying to dez anyone working for their money, but i have absolutely no faith in a coorporation that was run for years by an admitted satan worshipper.

Peace All,
Thanks for your replies, we have a lot of students here! Pilgrim, please tell me more about this 'ethical' bank. You can PM me if you want, because it might bore other members, but I am interested.
