        Salam,

This type of question shows lack of understanding about God. God is the absolute Truth. So the person is really asking, can the absolute truth be put in a situation where the truth is no longer absolute or is a falsehood? The answer is no. The truth is the truth. This does not show any weakness in God's nature, as the question is trying to insinuate.

The problem is that people still have the vision of God as the "big guy in the sky" with human properties as some religions want you to believe. The question the person asked can certainly break this type of understanding.

while telling to somebody that God is over all things competent, creator, and God is such a powerful and mighty God...

a kid asked a very innocent question from a person who is telling this.. but that innocent question make the person silent for the moment ... he wasnt expecting such type of question which will make him think....

can God create a stone so heavy that God himself cannot lift that stone?

what he will suppose to say yes or no

dear brothers and sisters waiting for you answers too...

        God bless you all..

The question does not apply. Possible / impossible is a dualistic human concept and does not apply to God

          peace

            we can create/drawing sqaure
            we can create/drawing circle...

can we create a square circle ... obviously not...

same if one = one its mean it cannot be zero so if we ask from God god can you make 1+1 = 0 or a circle square answer should be no...

that type of rock cannot exist.. logically.. so this question cannot also exist logically... yay this is not a question this is a joke guys... so yes and no is out of question

the answer of this question is joke

I saw that question several times being asked by the atheists.

I think it is run based on limited assumptions about God. One interesting answer I have seen for it is that he can lift it by canceling out gravity. But again, this does not prove anything. There are some things God can't do. He can't make himself finite. He can't break away from logic. He can't speak false.

                Peace All.
                Some question?

God gave us the brain to work out problems and ask the right questions.

However, we use it to create problems and ask illogical and silly questions!!!!!.

                GOD bless.
                Peace.

                  This is similar to
Can God create a new universe, which is so big so He cannot count all of the stars inside it? Answer Yes or No

But anyway back to the original (flawed) question..
can God create a stone so heavy that God himself cannot lift that stone?

YES.. it will be a new universe so solid that everything is made of rock and there isn't anything else which is not the rock.
Thus the rock cannot move to any direction given everything there is a rock..
Due to the fact of "lifting" = "moving an object from a location to different location".

I would say Jafar had this mindset before 'hansolo'.

The question is more stupid than asking a person if he/she can make a stone in his mind so big and heavy that he/she can not lift it.

It's a useless question. Answering it or attempting to won't make you any of a better person than you were before reading it.

A better question Can you comprehend the "unknown" using the human logic only ?
