    Peace idmkhizar,

According to the available evidence, the moon was formed from the earth. This happened as a result of a huge impact. So the moon is a lot younger than the earth.

Khi- This is irrelvant 2 the pt. The gravity of the moon causes tides n they r square inversely proportional 2 the distance. So as the distance gets only one third smaller the gravity increases 9 times. Tht wld make life impossible n dinos cld never have lived billions of years ago with the moon so close. Thts the pt.

As for the earth's magnetic field, let me try to make it simple. Try to think of magnets. They all have positive and negative polarity so they don't just go from zero to positive. The magnetic field has actually been weakening for the last 2,000 years or so. Sometime in the future, as a result of this weakening it will reverse polarity so the compass will point south instead of north. This happened many times in the history of the earth. The evidence for it is very well documented in solidified lava flows. One can examine them and see that the orientation of the magnetic particles in has changed overtime as earth went through its natural magnetic cycles.

Khi- Ok so it is not continuously decresing. I got tht. Thanx.

As for the population, let me again make it simple. Currently, Europe's population (and that of most industrialized nations) is actually shrinking so the idea that populations always grow is false to begin with. This is especially true in the past when, for example, whole populations were wiped out by the plague and other diseases/disasters.

Khi- But doesnt the population on the whole increase although some generations might die out here n there?

I am not sure I understood your other question. Are you talking about planets orbiting around a star or spinning around their axis? At any rate, I am sure you can find the answer to the right question using a simple Google search.

Khi- I meant rotation arund their axes. Even plnets in our own solar sytem spin in oppsite direction 2 the others.

It seems that you were not able to find the answers to such question with the likes of Harun Yehya. This is not surprising, Harun Yahya and the like plagiarize much of their work from Christian missionaries and Biblical apoligists. They would rather not deal with those sorts of questions that open a can of worms for them.

    I hope this helps.

Peace on who followed the guidance,

    Ayman

Khi- This has nothing 2 do with Harun Yahya 4 he believes in an old age n also i believe tht too. But these r some pts which bothered me. GOD Bless!

if it moves away from the earth why would it be so close or joined with the earth? our earth/moon is 4 billion years old to my knowledge, a few centimeters every year (lets say 3), with 30 centimeters in a foot, 10 years for it to move a foot away, 400 million feet altogether=75,757 miles, according to my knowledge the moon is 93 million miles away so I don't believe this would have a great effect if any at all, maybe some strange effects on the weather but not enough to wipe out life as a whole I believe

      peace

Khi- It wld be so close 2 coz immense tides which wld be unfit 4 any living things on land. Also the moon is only 300,000 kms away from the earth not million. Light takes ONE sec 2 reach the moon n its speed is 300,000 km/s. Wherever u got tht info it's incorrect. GOD Bless!

is the moon getting closer in a few centimeters a year or moving away a few centimeters a year? because first you said its moving away, youre right though, I was thinking of the distance from the earth to the sun which is around 93 million km, here's something to think about though, perhaps a while back the moon was much closer to the earth and didn't get into the position where it was at for correct tides until the past couple million years or so, just a theory, I don't have much knowledge on the subject though I know this would refute that dinosaurs lived billions of years ago

it is a scientific fact tht the moon moves away from the earth a couple of centimeters every year.

Khi- Sorry i meant 2 say it wld have been so close 2 the earth. Yes the moon is moving away from the earth. The rest is speculation. However in the Quran we find six days of creation n GOD also says tht one day of His equals to a 1000, NOT a billion years, of our reckoning so 6000 years. Think abt tht one. GOD Bless!

remember that the 6 stages/days refers to the entire creation of the universe, not just the earth

            Allah The Allmighty says

( 22-47 ) < And surely a day with your Lord is as a thousand years of what you number.>

It's mean that a Day by Allah is 1000 years in our reckoning in relation with the revolution of the Moon around the Earth ( it is the Hegire year) or the revolution of the Earth around the Sun ( Gregorian year).

            And Allah says

To Him ascend the Angels and the Spirit in a day the measure of which is fifty thousand years.

In this verse of the Sura 'The way of Ascent' ( it is the Way which take the Angels from the Earth to the Heaven after having excecuted the duties necessary for the Life of our Planet and the Kosmos. We can note that Allah doesn't say "fifty thousand years of what you number" because the day in question in this verse is a time measure of a Gods day ( which each day is 1000 years in our reckoning ) and this day is the age of the Universe which all events of our life from heaven to earth ascend to Him.

Let's convert these God's Years in our norms

            50,000 * 365.2422 (days in human year) = 18,262,110 Allah's Days.

One Day by Allah is corresponding 1000 years of our reckoning, therefore the Age of the Universe is

18,262,110 * 1,000 = 18,262,110,000 years, that's to say that the age of the Universe is around 18, 1/4 Billions years. This number correspond exactly of the above article . After more than 14 centuries, Science and particularly Professor Jean-Claude Batelere of the "College de France" states that it is now a certitude that the Universe is 18 billions years old .

Note that others Secrets are hidden in these two verses.

            Wa salam.

Ive seen tht one but im beginning 2 doubt this interpretation of 704. The period of the ascent of the angels does not necessarily refer 2 the age of the universe. How can we say tht? GOD Bless!

                peace be upon you,

i think it might have some relationship with 325 describing the ascent after He arranged the matters from the sky to the earth, thats how they related it

it could indicate a lot of things but we should only deal with what we know and that is that God arranged matters from the skies and the earth, plus arranging the matters/physical laws is exactly what God did in the six stages/days, check 419-12

btw you seem to be defending the young earth theory pretty hard, do you now believe in it?

On the magnetic field... The Earth's magnetic field strength oscillates throughout history, so it's not an indicator of the Earth's age. Try radiometry for determining the age of the earth.

Khi- Salam. Not really. I just found some good pts raised supporting the young earth theory. Therefore i brought it up. However if the evidence becomes compelling then ive 2 accept it. GOD Bless!
