    Salam Everyone

I first discovered this site in 2007 after having first starting reading the Quran in 2005/06. I won't go into a lengthy explanation of my personal journey but will say that I am still convinced that Quran-only methods are still very much in line with what Allah has innately bestowed upon me and most importantly in verifying through Quran. Through these years my belief was many times tested and continues to be tested especially now and especially vigorously. I wrongly lost my faith and Allah was swift in making sure that one day I realized I was in grave error.

I have still yet to meet a Quran-only Muslim and do not attend Friday prayers. I mentioned here back in 2007 that several of the requirements set upon Muslims attempting to follow Hadith seem to cause some psychological distress. I do not intend to mis-judge those who follow the practices followed at mosque and elsewhere where more mainstream Muslims might congregate. I can only speak definitively to my personal experiences.

Thanks to Allah after having come through periods of disbelief (cautiously and rebelliously knowing deep inside I was wrong) and a firm new found belief, I have come to peace with my faith. I can now take a deep breath and trust myself to read the Quran and as suggested by Brother Layth find answers for myself rather than being too quick to consult others as to their interpretation. As always I continuously pray to the God that I am properly guided and seek forgiveness for my potentially ignorant misunderstandings.

I am so very grateful for those who both set-up and actively run/moderate this site. May God bless you in your quest to share this most important of Books and System. group

    Thank you

        welcome lilyfleur

You can meet many Quran followers on this site. I initially accepted those ahadith that were in line with Quran but later I have stayed away them as I can utilize my time better in studying Quran rather than sorting out good hadith from bad.

        Peace

Thank you for the kind 'welcome backs' Novice and A Submitter. I very much appreciate that.

Since posting my introduction and mentioning that I don't go to Friday prayers at tje Mosque it's been weighing on my mind. I think i want to try going again. I trust in Allah's guidance in this decision.

Tonight at the grocery store I passed by 2 different woman at seperate times in seperate areas wearing the Hijab. I gave them both greetings of peace. They both smiled and returned the greeting! It nearly brought me to happy tears because on more than one occasion in the past when I've greeted Muslim women with "Salam Alaikum" i've received nothing more than a grumpy look of suspicion. It was very disheartening.

Trips to the Mosque in the past didn't bode especially well either. But this experience tonight has left me with hope that perhaps I can go to the Friday prayers to finally be in the company of believers. I am so grateful .

Take good care everyone and peace.

            Peace lilyfleur,

            Welcome back.

Allah is the best guide on all matters.
Keep seeking His guidance before taking any step.
And do not rush but wait till the guidance comes to you.

Good luck on your journey on the path of Allah.

              Salam,

I never go to the mosque. If there is a mosque with the foundation that we are to serve God alone, I would go, but there are none.
There are sunni mosques and shia mosques, and neither of them are based on righteousness, but on putting up partners with God.

9107 And there are those who have taken a temple to do harm and
cause rejection, and to divide between the believers, and as an
outpost for those who fought God and His messenger before.
They will swear that they only wanted to do good, and God bears
              witness that they are liars.
9108 Do not stand in it ever. A temple that is founded on righteousness
from the first day is more worthy that you stand in it; in it are
men who love to purify themselves. And God loves the purified.
9109 Is he who founds his building on obtaining righteousness from
God and His acceptance better, or he who founds his building on
the edge of a cliff which is about to crumble, so that it crumbled
with him into the fires of Hell? And God does not guide the
              wicked people.
9110 Their buildings that they built continue to cause doubt in their
hearts, until their hearts are severed. And God is Knowledgeable,
              Wise.

              You too, Salam

Thanks, A Submitter. Yeah, I had a school appointment today that couldn't be missed and so no Mosque visit for me afterall. I really appreciate the encouragement and your insight. Oneday soon, God willing I will have the confidence to trust my innate, God given wisdom rather than putting myself into uncomfortable positions. Sometimes over and over again until the lesson is finally gained. For now I will trust that the negative emotions I felt when at the Mosque in the past (that something didn't feel right) were quite accurate.

Peace and please take good care .

Human learn through mistakes, it's the only way to learn about something...
However, not all human are able to realize and admit his / her own mistakes, it takes a lot of self pride swallowing to do so...
And don't worry, you still and will continue to make mistakes, as from those mistakes you will learn.. and so do I and everyone else..

Trust your conscience as God speaks through it .. and fight off the ego.... God sends guidance to everyone.. yet only the humble shall reap benefit from it..

                  welcome
