Salam peace
Again I did not know where exactly to post this but I have a question regarding the FM translation
In chapter 71 we read
7124
And they have misguided many, but We only increase the wicked in misguidanceBut is translated as second person in
7128 "My Lord, forgive me, and my parents, and whoever enters my home as a believer, and the believing males, and the believing females; and do not increase the wicked except in destruction."
Excuse my ignorance but? may I ask why?
Thanks peace
Virginia
7124 is for sure mistranslated technically, it should be in the same form as how 7128 is translated, thus like "...NOT increase...EXCEPT...".
Second person should be ok I think. -
Salam,
floowing verses, check the exclamation marks. Maybe they need removal in 1091-92, though it's clear it's God saying after verse 1090
1090 And We helped the Children of Israel cross the sea, and Pharaoh
and his soldiers followed them out of hatred and animosity. But
when he was certain to drown, he said ?I believe that there is no
god except the One in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I
am of those who have submitted.?
1091 ?Now you say this? While before you disobeyed and were of the
corrupters!?
1092 ?This day, We will preserve your body, so that you become a sign
for those after you.? But most of the people are unaware of Our
signs!Salam

Instead of so while walking or riding should be one by one or by two connected.
Instead of If you become secure should be So, when you confirm (by action).
Previous ayet is wrongly translated also.
Selam to ones who think about His ayets with no shirk.

Amen means to be confident or secure. It does not vary much from that connotation.
Be well

Wait, did I get it right? Are you purposely chaging the words in Arabic to fit the correct translation?
You are changing the Quran. giveup
Me? Which words?
MoF, it's not fear as you (and author of this translation) probably think it is. Check 4101, maybe you'll see...

I didn't really get what you mean. Just asking if the moderators are changing the Arabic within the Quran? Thus changing the Quran? I don't know Araboc, can read it though. Maybe there is something I dn't understand. hmm

Farati,
People are not confident Quran is preserved in its interpretation and therefore they seek to study the language. Personally I would wonder thus if the book ever had a proper interpretation to begin with.
Be well

The word "jebel" is not "mountain" here. I'm not sure about English word, but it should be something as maybe "pile".
Anyways, Ibrahim a.s., Allah's friend, took all parts of birds and took them together and made something which looks like a hill, but much smaller of course. Please somebody inform me if "pile" is a good word for this and thanks in advance.Selam to rare ones who love Allah's friend, Ibrahim a.s. and his Rabb.

Salam,
a missing dot in the end of the verse.
1135 Or do they say ?He has invented it?? Say ?If I have invented it,
then I am responsible for my crime, and I am innocent from your
crimes?Salam

I don't know why my posts in this topic are ignored, but I'll try once more with a question, maybe it can help...
In 43 = "to be just"
In 499 = "be equitable!"
In 608 = "the equitable"But then, as active participle
In 7214-15 = "the compromisers"
My question is How can any word be its opposite?

The magic of sectarian Arabic.

Salam,
Brother Layth hasn't been online for awhile. He's the translator of FM Quran.

Salam,
Make you capital in bold
326 Say ?Our god, Possessor of kingship; you grant kingship to
whom You please, and revoke kingship from whom You please,
and honor whom You please, and humiliate whom You please; in
Your hand is goodness. You are capable of all things.? -
-
Salam,
Should hearer be capital or as it is, in bold?
338 It was then that Zachariah implored his Lord; he said ?My Lord,
grant me from You a good progeny. You are the hearer of prayer.?Salam

Salam,
My apologies for the absence.
I have uploaded the file with the fixes http//free-minds.org/sites/default/files/quran.pdf
With regards to the comment of Aladin
Qasitoon is NOT the same as Muqsiteen (it is the opposite).
Muqsit is someone who gives equitably, Qasit is someone who takes for himself (one is good, the other is bad).
You can see this in 7215 where God tells us that "the Qasitoon" will be the firewood of Hell.
To maintain consistency, I have used "inequitable" for Qasitoon to make it clear as the opposite of Muqsitoon.

Can you check following verse, it might be missing "earth" or "world", between bold
1199 And they were followed by a curse in this, and on the Day of
Resurrection. What a miserable path to follow!Salam
