Good day, brothers!
I have a question regarding the argument I came across the other day.
He said that there is no proof that Muhammad was in the cave listening to Gabriel. He was the only witness so, there is no reason to believe it. ???
My question is Is there any proof outside the Quran or is this guy correct? hmm
My own idea was that you can't prove history as it requires epistemological analysis, not scientific (testable and observable). You can't test or observe history. Thus, we know that he was in the cave (thorugh writings on the walls outside it - I don't know what they mean ) yet we don't have to prove it as you can't prove a history.

we all have to find and understand that the Qur'an is beyan for all things. This, for sure, doesn't mean that there's information about my height or weight or my hair color or when was noon y'day in my town.
People get something as information and then they're trying to find it in the Qur'an, but this is bad approach. Because, we're not just testing information we got, but we're testing the Qur'an also.What I see as correct approach is to let the Qur'an and Allah through it teach us what is usefull for us and with what He's satisfied. Patience is the key... and He knows best.
Btw, all the humans and jinn can try to explain to anybody a single harf from the Qur'an, but they'll fail, until Allah swt explains it to that person.

Maybe he was there with Amina instead of Gabriel?
By the way, why does it matter whether a dude was there in the cave or not around 1400 years ago? -
If you believe in the Quran, the story about the cave does not matter at all. Nor do other stories outside the Quran although they may be good read. After all, what is outside the Quran are conjectures. No one knows reality as is except the one who created all things.

Not true. It can be disclosed elsewhere and has been. Proper information has been relayed on other channels.

According to the Quran, one who relies on the Quran need not refer to other sources for references.
Simple logic dictates even if information have been relayed on other channels, its not necessary for the one who relies on the Quran.Cheers!
