Not that I see the passages got anything to do with the Arabic ones on a literary level, but I must admit that you are a good author. Good study material you are compiling. I am curious of who you are and what you are doing here and what goes on in your mind and if it happens you are remotely possessed affecting your pattern of thinking.

    Be well

Peace, Man of Faith. What do You mean By possessed in this context?

    Peace

Dear Amenuel, you have you chance to prove Arabic wrong on just one word in the other thread. I am still waiting for it, besides your Hmm!

        Regards,

I have already elaborately laid forth arguments before concerning your translations. You would be required to intricately reveal why your understanding of words is not even remotely close to anything discovered in ancient Arabic lexicons.

Besides, I ignored the connection to the Arabic here but only focused on what you had written and you wrote something close to the real message, yet totally unrelated to the Arabic text. This is why I am curious whether you are under some sort of possession unaware that you write things totally unrelated to the Arabic passages. I have started to ignore your texts as translations but focused on what it is you have put forth.

I have already been close to two people in real life who have been possessed in some kind of paranormal events. In one occasion the person began speaking very differently and with a strange accent and extremely emotionless much like you could expect an advanced computerized voice sound in a science-fiction movie. Still it was coherent, fluent and intelligible and I could sense a different person than her (the one I spoke to).

Funnily, paranormal events do not scare me, but sometimes you get some chills, particularly when you start speaking to some foreign person in the middle of a conversation with someone. And it is not like a personality disorder or anything, the normal person is just suddenly gone and the voice pitch, style and all just abruptly change just as the topic and when the paranormal event is over the person is confused and disoriented been interrupted from previously and can also barely remember anything of the recent moments.

        Be well
        Amenuel

Sorry to say Bro, your argument are nothing but empty rhetoric and hence waste of time. I don't believe in wasting my or others time. You are provided with Arabic explanation of just one word Islam in other thread. Please bring your linguistic arguments prove it wrong. If you can't do it? Then how would you understand explanation of these verses, even if gave you one?

            Surah 108 1
            Inna aAAtaynaka alkawthara
Indeed, We, We have given you Al-Kauthar,
Indeed, we will excel most by comingling in the abundance of virtues.

            Surah 108 2
            Fasalli lirabbika wainhar
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice.
Thereby, follow closely your foundation, which enables growth, development and eventually fulfilling potential. Hence, you get to know these thoroughly well.

            Surah 108 3
            Inna shani-aka huwa al-abtaru
Indeed, your enemy - he (is) the one cut off.
Indeed, you need to pursue this course, else be one who is severely cut off from actualizing his potential.

I think your OP has jumped too ahead.

I think to be more intellectually credible it is necessary to include the transliteration and then the word for word translations.
If you want to move away from the above word for word, you must provide justification for why you want to change each word or otherwise add your own words in ].

In this approach there is something objective to start with.

When you jump in with your own words subjectively with your own phrases and sentences it is very difficult to discuss objectively.

            Thus;
            Surah 108 1
            Inna aAAtaynaka alkawthara
Indeed, We, We have given you Al-Kauthar,

If you do not agree with the word for word translation you may insist on your own words only but you cannot change the word for a clause, phrase or sentence .

If you agree, then if you want to add additional words you will have to add them in ]. e.g.

"1081 Indeed, We, We have given you Al-Kauthar , ."

As such, one can debate on whether the added ] terms are agreeable or not.

In the above case, Allah did not mention 'virtues' why do you add virtues, and what are your justifications.
Allah don't give virtues, one has to cultivate to gain virtues and merits that are to be sent in advance for Judgment Day.

So Allah may meant he has given abundance of provisions, opportunities, guidance, assistance, reminder, warnings, good tidings, etc. We will have to decide what is "it" that is given in abundance exactly in context of the other verses, the chapter and the whole Quran.

Once we have deliberated on 1081 then we proceed to 1082 and 1083 in the above consistent manner.

I am not too interested in 1081-3 at present. I am just suggesting the objective intellectual and exegesis approach.

I questioned your whole rendition. Why do you go on the defensive instead of getting objective?

And point is, if you are skilled at English to actually grasp English sentences which seems you are not unless it is that you did not read my previous post, that I said I did not care about your translations but I asked you questions of another proportion. You respond to something I did not ask you to reply to because I said I ignore it unless you provide deeply intricately explained renditions revealing why you find definitions for words found nowhere in any source of etymology and expands sentences with far more words than can be supported by the Arabic manuscript. Nowhere have you been able to do so, so quit saying I am wasting time or using empty rhetorics. You are however wasting your time in disregarding me saying I ignore your claimed attempts at translation. I was asking you other questions which you ignore. Very well, if you have no intention of answering them you could be kind to just say so with a courteous reply instead of being insulting.

Do you think I am unworthy of speaking to? I suppose you do not know to whom you are speaking.

              Be well

Amenuel, fair enough. Let me ask you this and please give a straight response. If I gave a detailed answer about intricacies of linguistic explanation used to arrive above meanings. How would you be able to determine? If I am wrong or correct? In my opinion there are three possibilities.

                1. You already know it almost all.
                2. You will investigate in order to determine.
                3. A combination of above two.

Please answer so we can proceed.

                Regards,

                    Thanks.

Nevertheless I do not want to corner myself that we must produce the Arabic, transliteration and word-for-word in ALL situations.
In the above case where the OP jump in with his own subjective interpretations, then it is appropriate one must start with the Arabic, transliteration and word-for-word, else we will be lost.

However in cases where we need to list 20, 50, >100 supporting verses, I think it is acceptable to list the English translations only but they must be referenced to a reliable translator and not one's own translations without the relevant justifications.
It would be better the main verses relating to the main topic should be produced in the Arabic, transliteration and word-for-word.

Btw, I am only suggesting, it is up to the individual.

I would not say you must refer to one of their translations of those you gave example of, a word by word and detailed description and arguments why ought to be sufficient. I do not give any credit at all to those translators.

But I agree the OP must give a very thorough explanation including the above in order to have anyone give any credit to his renditions.

                        Surah 108 1

Indeed, we will become most excellent by blending in the abundance of virtues.

                        Syntactic Explanation

This is a nominal sentence. It has Inna at the start. This imparts certain changes in iraab of its subject and predicate. Its subject gets or accusative case and predicate or nominative case.

It is a combination of particle and first personal plural pronoun . This first person plural noun is the subject of this sentence.

This whole part is the predicate of the sentence or .

This realistically is a combination of two words. Traditionally it is claimed that it is a verb a verb of IV form, there are two pronouns attached at the end. A subject and an object pronoun, this is an absurd explanation, why would any language use same pronoun again which is or ?we ? already used at the start of the sentence as subject? This is ineloquent, grammatically wrong by any measure, if the narrator really meant to say ?we gave you?. The correct way of saying it would be . However, this is not the case in this verse. Additionally, no modern speaker of language uses this pattern to best my knowledge.

Please contemplate, ask questions, critique, correct or agree before proceeding further.

                        Regards,

ok, so what part of your translation is exactly " " and what part is "" and how did you come to such translations?

tbh with you, it really surprises me that someone with such an unorthodox way of translating is still using schoolgrammar and dictionaries.
I think the quran is not based on some dictionary and schoolgrammar so I think whatever you do, you will always find contradictions and weird stuff which you can not solve with this approach of you.
What I am saying is that maybe it's a good idea to go all in, 50-50 will not work.

First you should actually break up the whole sentence into Arabic letters then view them in term of words and phrases.
                            Accordingly 1081 represent the following;

                            • inn - Indeed, We,
                            • aaynka - We have given you
                            • l-kawthara - abundance

                            You will have to explain how did you arrive at the words in blue;

"Indeed, we will become most excellent by blending in the abundance of virtues."

You have not explained convingly how you arrive

                            • aaynka = will become most excellent by blending.

You also have not explained where did you get 'virtue' from out of the blue.

If you can explain the above and it is rational, then there is a basis for any one to decide whether it is acceptable or not .

Btw, I do not profess to be good in Arabic, but I am merely emphasizing on an objective the exegesis technique.
