What is the punishment for rape?

Also, chapter 5 eye for an eye verse. Does it mean that if anyone cuts my hand kff then I can do the same? Or is it just for Jews as the verse is within historical context of God giving laws to Israelis.

In my opinion I see it as mainly for the jews.
Maybe we even could say that at time a equal revenge was fair. Instead of making it worse.

Anyway Quran states
4240 The recompense for a crime shall be its equivalence, but whoever forgives and makes right, then his reward is upon God. He does not like the wrongdoers.
