I made a thread about this - why was it deleted? Do people think carrying pork and delivering it to non-Muslims such as family is prohibited? Do people think touching pork, things that touched pork or pork packaging in prohibited, etc?

this pork prohibition is the silliest invention of the religionist.
If at all there is a prohibition in the quran it merely limits to eating pig's meat.
There are more people eating pig's meat then ppl who don't and still there is no mighty smite from god on those who eat pork.

Your logic
- People eat pork
- God doesn't punish people for eating pork at the moment
- Therefore pork is allowed
Do you realize how faulty that is? People dont get punished in this life necessarily.

Some Muslims think they'll get afflicted by nasty physical and spiritual diseases if they get within 3 feet from pork. It's basically in the head, in the mind. If you're brought up fearing pork, you'll see the world's all evil in it. It's all in the mind.
I'm personally not eating pork, but I see large portions of the worlds population eating it, and they aren't more sick than those who don't eat it. And in any case, we stuff ourselves with so much toxins and contamination that the badness of pork probably shrink in comparison.
What I'm saying is, that it is good to see things for what they are. If we are to avoid eating it, then carrying it or touching it isn't an actual issue. Anyone is of course free to do as they wish, but it is better not to put it on religion or on God.

It's dangerous because pig meat-eaters are eating what God has forbidden and those who transgress while knowing, it may be their punishment in the Hereafter; Hell, extremely dangerous. We can't disregard the Hereafter.
Other meat is not dangerous. It's not transgression to eat cattle meat, but it's transgression when eating pig meat.
Everyone eats toxins and contamination everyday. It's put on every label of products that we buy. It's dangerous, but it's not transgression as pig meat is. Do you know why some products are labelled "Ecological"? They're free from toxins and contamination.

Is eating/abstaining from eating pork a rite or not? How is it any different from carrying/delivering any other food that will be dedicated to other than the Almighty? My personal take is that it is a non-issue. We haven't been ordered to interfere with others.
