Question Why do we need man made narrations that were written down hundreds of years after the Qu'ran?
rasla l-lahi, left us a Legacy in the form of a Book, this book is the Divine Road Map of Life and a guide for those who believe (there's that word again), and to do righteous deeds, with the reward of a better life to come as this life is a temporary one. No other Book is protected from mankind's transgressions. We have the Qur'an within our possession what more is there? group
The word quran means to read, recite, study. that is why rabb words are so meaningful, fair, just and easy to FOLLOW. welcome I'm not saying easy to SWALLOW! yuck I would strongly advise against trying to improve on the quran, or over complicating it, rendering it unreadable. giveup
961 ?Read! In the name of your Lord who created.? It is the word of God.
The disbelievers will try to create doubt in the mind, hence the Al-Sihah al-Sittah.
316 "And of mankind is he who purchases Lahu Al-Hadith to mislead (men) from the path of Allah."
When reading these narrations, you very quickly see that not only do they contradict the Qur'an, but contradict their own stories. confused
Bukhari (ref 8.816) Narrated Ibn Abbas
Umar said, ?I am afraid that after a long time has passed, people may say, ?We do not find the verse of rajam (stoning to death) in the Holy Book,? and consequently they may go astray by leaving an obligation that Allah has revealed. Lo! I confirm that the penalty of rajam be inflicted on him who commits illegal intercourse if he is already married and the crime is proved by witnesses or pregnancy or confession.? Sufyan added, ?I have memorised this narration in this way?. Umar added ?Surely Allah?s messenger carried out the penalty of Rajam, and so did we after him.?
Bukhari (Ref 3.885) Narrated Abu Huraira and Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani
A Bedouin came to Allah?s messenger and said, ?O Allah?s Messenger! I ask you by Allah to judge my case according to Allah?s Laws?. His opponent, who was more learned than he, said, ?Yes, judge between us according to Allah?s Laws, and allow me to speak.? Allah?s Messenger said, ?Speak.? He said, ?My son was working as a labourer for this man and he committed illegal sexual intercourse with his wife. The people told me that it was obligatory that my son should be stoned to death, so in lieu of that I ransomed my son by paying one hundred sheep and a slave-girl. Then I asked the religious scholars about it. They informed me that my son must be lashed one hundred times, and be exiled for one year, and the wife of this (man) must be stoned to death.? Allah?s Messenger said, ?By Him in whose hands my soul is, I shall judge between you according to Allah?s Laws. The slave-girl and the sheep are to be returned to you, your son is to receive a hundred lashes and be exiled for one year. You, Unais go to the wife of this man and if she confesses her guilt, stone her to death.? Unais went to the woman next morning and she confessed. Allah?s Messenger ordered that she be stoned to death.
Both of these hadiths disregard 242,5-9 altogether! ???
482 "Do they not ponder on the Quran? If it had been from anyone other than God, they would have found much inconsistency in it."
You cannot have books that promote subjugation of women, segregation of the sexes, non-nonsensical rulings on women's issues, sex and personal hygiene, marriage/sex with underage girls, and then top it off with a ritualistic rewards system. Where is the accountability? These books should be rejected as a whole and not taken in part!
2530 "My Lord, my people have deserted this Qur'an. in exchange for baseless Hadith."
4126 ?Those who deny the truth say, "Do not listen to this Quran. Drown it out with noise, so that you may gain the upper hand."
The big factor is - no one can improve on God's words/system/way/law/Books, it is finished and complete! To then go a head and sanction other books and say that they compliment God's book, (even if they are re-doing all the narrations rotfl is giving to others that which only belongs to God! 18110 "Say, ?I am only a man like you, but it has been revealed to me that your God is only One God. So whoever hopes for the meeting with their Lord, let them do good deeds and associate none in the worship of their Lord.?"
22 ?This is the Book, there is no doubt in it a guidance for the pious ones?.
3138 "Here is a plain statement to men, a guidance and instruction to those who fear God!"
