    Salaam

    Welcome,

This is a piece of advice I have for you

Make sure you have grasped a firm handhold in the Quran, before engaging in some discussions and topics. There are many who will try to present lies as truths and may sway your judgement concerning them.

Read, read a lot, read Quran, study it and let Allah guide you to meanings and interpretations. Do not rely on this community for explanations, for it will lead you astray.

    Peace

Thank you. I'm a firm believer in investigation. So, I try to listen to viewpoints, but then research in order to see if what is said is based in the text. I was raised as a Protestant, and so textual analysis is hardwired into me.

              Welcome.

I back what HP-TECH recommends to read and study the quran and not be swayed by interpretations/opinions of anyone. This is a start of your journey to connect with the Creator and there are important principles/axioms in the quran. Do your best to connect the dots and let the Creator if He wills show you a glimpse of reality. I have learnt not to stay rigid and stuck in my conclusions on things and to remain open minded as that?s what led me to finding the Creator via qur?an.

The human being is impatient by nature. I will inevitably show you My signs; do not be in such a hurry. 2137

And on the earth are signs for those who comprehend. 5120

We will show them Our signs in the horizons, and within themselves, until it becomes clear to them that this is the truth. Is it not enough that your Lord is witness over all things. 4153

              PEACE

I do not think anybody is here to be spoonfed any solution to anything, rather to propose questions to be debated so as to get further than we would get on our own. Sometimes we do get something useful, sometimes not. Nothing lost. We must be judges of what we ourselves understand and nobody is in a hurry to put "solved" to any number of questions. We will get there when we do get there, in sha' Allah. And most certainly we are not competing in any championship for "being right". Who cares about that? We get our reward when we see light in anything, never mind who is right or who is wrong. Sometimes wrong ideas somehow throw light for us, even if not the light the proposer intended.

I have learnt a lot through forums.

                    Salaam

Also sister, if we are relaxed and easy going with each other, it will help.
So what if we disagree about certain irrelevant things? We should be humble and learn from each other.
There are more important things to do in life than worry about a point of view or religion of someone!
-Saariou Ila Maghfiratin Min Rabbikum- Racing each other to good deeds , good morals and helping others is the best aim
                      GOD bless.
                      Peace.

Not everyone is at the same level of understanding. Our understanding is shaped by our interaction with nature, fellow beings and wisdom around us etc. Discussions are a vehicle of learning if done in positive and productive way leaving biases and stubborn attitudes aside.

Believing that I know better make us fall into trouble. Sharing and learning is an ongoing process. We must go through it but keep ourselves away from blind following. We must use our God gifted faculties to verify all information to the best of our capacity.

                        Salaam

Peace and blessings of Allah be upon all of you, brothers and sisters. My name is Adrian. I reverted to Islam over a year ago. But, as I prayed in the masjid and studied, I became uncomfortable with things. Such as the Salawat upon the Prophet and his family in prayer, and the way I was told I needed to mimic the prophet in everything, from eating in multiples of three to shaving or not shaving certain parts of the body. It also made me very uncomfortable how people were so tied up to absolute correct action. I.e. If I accidentally didn't set my feet right, I would be upbraided by older men, or if I pronounced something incorrectly, I would be told that my prayer was invalid. It was disheartening. I came to Islam because of my love for Allah, but I left because I felt I couldn't live up to what I was being asked to do.

Thankfully, Allah is the best guide and has led me here and to Qur'an and to Allah's Sunnah. I feel free and feel much closer to my Rabb. I can't wait to learn and grow with this community.

Try to read the Gospel. You will be amazed on how Jesus the Messiah explained why we shouldn't follow those wolves in sheep clothes.

Yes, there is a huge smokescreen around the Quran. Which is called the Sunnah. I believe that the Quran is real. And i believe that the Sunnah is fake. The enemies of Mohammad hijacked the Quran and created fake Sunnah doctrines. Saudi Arabia earns billions and billions with the sheep that they horded.

We see the same pattern around the Gospel. We see the Catholic Trinitarian doctrine that is false. Also like 1-2 billion followers. Gold, silver, oil, you name it, the Vatican owns more then you think. Also the Tora, around that Scripture we see the Pharisees being active with their Talmud.

So you now really have to watch out and pray to God what is Truth and to open your ears, eyes and mind. Nobody else can do it, except He.

I once was a huge extreme orthodox salafi. But God on a day woke me up from the dead and protected me from those snakes and wolves. I praise God for that.

So keep praying to God. Try to connect with Him. And ask Him for answers.
