there is nothing everlasting and infinite apart from creator
so why the numbers are infinite?

        Salam!

It is not 'number' itself which is infinite. It is quantity or space, which is unmeasurable so called infinite. we give numbers to the quantity or space which we are able to measure. For example we give a number say 1 when we count 1 cow it is finite. In history we were unable to measure light speed so it was an infinite measurement for us. by the help of technology we are able to measure the speed almost accurately so it is not an infinite for us. Previously we thought that types of plants and trees are infinite but now scientists have claimed that they exactly now the number of types of plants and trees around the globe. Maybe in future robot technology and computers would be able to count the numbers of stars or particles of dust on earth surface. So I do not say anything impossible. Impossible is a temporary thing. Hope our coming generations would see 'the end'.

        Peace to all.

          w salam,

brother unmeasurable is not = infinite/everlasting/continuing..

unmeasurable is only unmeasurable if we dnt have a tool to measure it..

numbers are tool itself .. 1,2,3.... we know that loop will not finish there is no end of it according to the concept of count

whoever discover count he discoverd it for the purpose to count (whatever) so logically counting cant be finsih whereas cows, plants, stars, and sand of grains in desert can finish they have limit...

space is unmeasurable becoz we have not advance tools to measure it properly ( before the big bang it was considered as infinite but now the understanding of space is not infinite anymore although another understanding of expansion take place)

plants cant be infinite .. earth got a land and land of earth is not infinite...

so there is nothing logically/scientifically proven infinite apart from numbers ...
and we have another option in the list (God)

is there is some hidden link between numbers and God ?

code nineteen believers can also represent their ideas in it if they wish.

            comrox look at your signature verse... God is first and last { (first) .... (last)}
if we do this same thing to numbers there is not a second end there ..

do u think numbers are creation? if they are created then why no end?
God can finish the earth, human , anything ... but how God will manage to finish the count? any idea

1,2,3,4..............(when it will end) any answers?

Probably something near infinite since the universe maybe is not infinite. So it might be a number which is to huge to name.

it will never stop... count cant finish.. whatever big figures you come up it will keep going ...

                ok see

Centillion 10 power^303 is the last title given to any figure as yet ... but titles finished not numbers hmm

Maybe infinite counting/numbering is created by Allah so that we could understand what He means by 'eternity' in the Hereafter.

                  Peace!

time have nothing to do with count either its done by a timekeeper or someone else, its a continuity unending...

exactly every creation is created by him , and he will repeat the creation whenever he wills...

BOLD yeh i agree count is the only thing which appears to human mind unending .. and in this way he can see for God anything is possible like making eternal life.. bravo i like ur reply trust me

you attempt the first part of what i was on about,, the second part is which need to handle with care .. if he willed he never make anything unending so do you think there is a way to make the count ending ?

time have nothing to do with count either its done by a timekeeper or someone else, its a continuity unending...

Time and space is one coherent entity.. and itself a 'creation'..

And time have everything to do with counting.. tick tock tick tock tick tock..
Time and also space in this universe is made of a 'discrete' (indivisible) elements...

The speed / rate of "tick tock tick tock" in your brain is ranging from 50 to 80 times per second.
And it grows slower as you aged, which explains the perception why a day fly faster as you grow older...
When the tick tock stopped so does human perception of time...

The speed / rate of "tick tock tick tock" in the brain of a fly is much faster.. approx 1000 times per second..
Which explains the 'much faster' reaction of a fly compared to human..
Yet it change the perception of time for a fly..
In the eyes of a fly.. human (and everything else) moves very very very slow.... they will never witness any aging in human..

Human starting to comprehend this once they invented a computer...
Every processor need a tick tock to measure time.. which give birth to the term of "clockspeed" in your processor based device.
The higher the number, the faster the speed of the tick tock.. the more 'responsive' you feel the device is to you...
From the eyes of computer you will moves very very very very very very slow....

As it turns out, the tick tock counting also exist in every living cells...
Every cell keep counting on how many times that they have splitted.
Which help them to keep track of "time". degrading the 'quality' of newly split cells thus deliberately delivered an aging process to the cell based being.. Once the counter hit certain numbers, they will deliberately splitting relentlessly causing 'cancer' providing mechanism for termination of life (death) to the cell based being.

Thus even aging and (natural) death is a well engineered process.. all based on the counting of time.. tick tock tick tock..

yeh there is a count of everything including time, like tick tock and in space like count of stars, galaxies, clusters etc

we are hunting " count " not time/space

i mean , question is how the count end, not how the time and space end..?

Counting is a verb, you need to put a context.. counting what?
Counting time? counting space? Counting sheep in a barn?

The counting / numbering itself doesn't have any limit, yet time and space and anything inside of it have limit...
Number is an abstract concept, a notation, a symbol for reference to something
Infinity by itself is notated as

                              https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infinity
