How i pray, according to the Quran and the Injeel and other Scriptures.
-
I wash myself, i wear beautiful clothes, i stand, i say the prayer in the Injeel, because the Messih actually teached those who don't know how to pray how they can pray and should pray, while praying that prayer, i bow, and kneel once. When my prayer and physical body movement is done i am actually done. Sometimes i keep sitting after that kneeling, and ask God something personal etc.
So i wash myself according to the Quran. I wear beautiful clothes etc. also according to the Quran. But i can't really find a Guide on what to say while praying. Which i later learned, is actually up to you, since it's personal. But i like to use the guided prayer system in the Injeel.
I use the physical body movements which are described in the Quran. And the spiritual spoken prayer from the Injeel.
The prayer goes like this out of the top of my head, Our Father who is in Heaven, Holy is your Name, may your Kingdom come, may your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven, give us today our daily bread, forgive us our debts as we forgive those who have debts, Yours is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory, now, for ever and ever, so be it.
While i am standing i say Our Father who is in Heaven, Holy is your Name, may your Kingdom come, may your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven, give us today our daily bread, forgive us our debts as we forgive those who have debts,
While i am bowing i say Yours is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory,
While i am kneeling i say now, for ever and ever, so be it.
Done. That's how i pray. How much times do i pray? I try to pray 3 times a day. That's what i can find in the Quran, and i also find that pattern in a Previous Scripture, the Zabur, King David, who prayed 3 times a day.
But what i found out is that prayer actually is something personal. The guided prayer and guidelines for what to say are to my knowledge only found in the Injeel. Which means that there could be a personal prayer, where you were actually talking to God, instead of more, worshipping Him.
I had a lot of questions about prayer, because i was a Salafi. But i kept praying personally to God. I didn't focus on how i should pray, but what i was praying. Until God guided me to this prayer which i think is right for me.
I think most people will either pray on their own way. Or according to a specific way which they are teached. What i learned is, that actually having a personal relation with God is the most important thing. So my advice would be, focus on that, since it's all about God.
Any opinions? I know i am a minority. But yeah, i try to use the Books of God as a Guidance, i already gave up upon human guidance a long time ago. I am happy with the way i pray now, i think it can't go wrong if you really ask God for guidance and focus on the actuall prayer and connecting with God instead of how you should pray and what to say. It actually feels amazing to try to connect with God and become Holy and talk with Him, we wait until He responds, we don't give up Hope, who else can answer our Prayers D!
Anyways, may God guide us all.
PS I don't kneel with my head, i kneel with my chin, learned this from the Quran. May be weird at first, but it actually shows that you submit yourself, your pride, to God, since most pride is found in the chin.

Good for you..
There are zillions ways to pray.. do it as comfortable to you..Yet for the sake of 'curiosity' perhaps you should then ask yourselves
Why then some people, even think that there is only ONE correct way to pray. -
I feel the current way of prayers is also one of the best way, it helps clean our body at regular intervals, balance our daily activities to moderation and if one understands the verses recited it helps focus on goodness individually and as a group. If the so called learned ones not push on their own doubtfull hadeeth stories on to us, it will be really great and good to pray in the traditional way.

Why then some people, even think that there is only ONE correct way to pray.I also was raised in an environment where they should pray according to just 1 method. And they would call you insane if you prayed to God on your own spiritual and physical way.
By reading the Tauwrat, the Zabur, the Injeel and the Quran, i saw the bigger picture. One of those things was prayer, i found out that there wasn't really just one physical and spiritual way of praying, until Jesus in the Injeel showed those who don't know how to pray how to pray and how they should pray.
The Quran teached me that it's important to pray, because when praying, the soul connects with God. And our hearts will feel peace when we pray.
What i learned is, that praying is more about communicating to God and worshipping Him. You should ask God how to pray since it's God who you are worshipping and not an idol. So it can be dangerous, if you just follow a sect, and you don't care about how you pray and why you pray etc.
It's a personal journey, i pray according to this way, other people can pray slightly different or different. In the end, it's all about your intentions, your heart, and soul. My quest ended like that, and i think my method now is complete. I now can focus on the spiritual aspect instead of the method.

We should care about what kind of sources we follow. The topic is worshipping God. We don't want to commit idolatry, by following fabricated doctrines, and fueling the masses.

Yes worshiping God, how? why? were the questions discussed here a lot.
5 or 3 or 1 or none it depends on each and every individual, overall we are to be reminded of Him. I dont think so its good to spend all day and night worshiping, the purpose of prayers gets lost, our prayers are to balance our mind and body from excess?. Quran do not talk about the exact ritual/way to pray.Mosques Temples and other places of worship were just created for our conveniences, to unite people and focus on the common goodness, people donate their excess in the name of God to help others. I find the traditional way of praying great minus preaching by many halfbaked Imams taking salat to his own goodness/survival.
Whatever new improved way we find, idolizing comes in only when we are ego about our ways and methods saying mine is superior, mine is the only correct, mine is the true god, mine is more powerfull etc...?

Exactly..
Those people are still searching for how to pray. And i respect that. They at least don't follow a sect and don't use their methods.
I pray three times a day, salaat al fadjr, wusta and isha. I can find in the Zabur for example, that King David, also prayed 3 times a day.
Anyways, i hope God will guide you and accept your prayers.

That's how dangerous false doctrines can be.
And how 'dangerous' ignorance and quick to judge attitude can be..

- Those 'acts' are quite common to be found in South and South East Asia.
- The practitioner didn't feel any pain of performing such act. (As shown with the lack of blood gushing out from the skin).
- Those are considered as an 'traditional artistic' form and part of 'martial art'.
- How did they managed such feat? I personally don't know. I have seen few of those 'traditional artistic show' myself.. and they claimed that everyone can do it with 'proper training'.
