Salaams ,
From another of my topics-

Something about David3824 (David) said "He has undoubtedly wronged thee in demanding thy (single) ewe to be added to his (flock of) ewes truly many are the partners (in business) who wrong each other Not so do those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and how few are they?"...AND DAVID GATHERED THAT WE HAD TRIED HIM HE ASKED FORGIVENESS of his Lord, fell down, bowing (in prostration), and turned (to Allah in repentance).
And was forgiven
3825 So We forgave him this he enjoyed, indeed, a Near Approach to Us, and a beautiful place of (Final) Return.3826
O David, We have made you a successor on Earth. Therefore, you shall judge among the people with truth, and DO NOT FOLLOW DESIRE/LOVE/FANCIES, lest it diverts you from the path of God. Indeed, those who stray off the path of God will have a severe retribution for forgetting the Day of Reckoning. The following is from the bible ? I wonder if it was this for which he was being tested and forgiven on seeking mercy from his Lord.

99ewes plus another one making a 100ewes?
99 wives and one more making 100 wives.FROM ANOTHER WEB SITE
?Brothers, I am filled with shame when I read about Allah's prophet Solomon or Allah's prophet David in the Torah. David had 99 wives, and coveted the wife of Uriah, son of John, the 100th wife. Solomon had a thousand women - 700 wives and 300 concubines. His wives, who came from Moab and Amon, brought idols into the Temple and worshiped them. Is this the way of a prophet? And still, the Israelites have not renounced it.?
Does the Torah really say this?
And
David got Bathsheba pregnant. He sent for Uriah to return from the battlefield, hoping that he would spend time with his wife and that could explain the baby away, but Uriah insisted he wouldn't relax at home while his fellow-soldiers were out fighting. David sent Uriah back to the battle, with a note for the commander to put him in the fiercest part of the battle.
A message came back to David some of the Israelites had been killed in battle, including Uriah. Once Bathsheba had mourned for her husband she was brought into the palace and had her child. If it is then why in heavens isn't it mentioned in the quran which is supposed to be complete fully detailed?
Well it is but because of the significant mistranslation you won?t find it ? I think,
(From another web site)- Bathsheba was married to someone else.
- David knows whose wife she is, but selfishly has his way anyway. Then he attempts to deceive everyone by trying to get Uriah to spend the night with his wife. Then it will seem like she?s pregnant by her husband!
(Uriah shames David because Uriah is too honorable to sleep at home while his army is out fighting! He sleeps at the door of the palace, with the servants.)
David arranges for Uriah?s death. A total abuse of power. He can?t face Uriah, after what he?s done, so he has him killed, rather than admit his sin.
David marries Bathsheba and they have a son named Solomon. It was Solomon who had the Temple built and wrote the Proverbs. The one of whom it?s written that when God asked Solomon what he wanted most, Solomon asked for wisdom.
The following is about David who is described as Muhammad ? David is the one doing Hamd of Allah in this case ? I think.
Wa-ith taqoolu lillatheeanAAama Allahu AAalayhi waanAAamta AAalayhi amsik AAalaykazawjaka waittaqi Allaha watukhfee fee nafsika maAllahu mubdeehi watakhsha alnnasa waAllahuahaqqu an takhshahu falamma qadazaydun minha wataran zawwajnakahalikay la yakoona AAala almu/mineena harajunfee azwaji adAAiya-ihim itha qadawminhunna wataran wakana amru Allahi mafAAoolan
Behold! Thou didst say to one who had received the grace of Allah and thy favour "Retain thou (in wedlock) thy wife, and fear Allah." But thou didst hide in thy heart that which Allah was about to make manifest thou didst fear the people, but it is more fitting that thou shouldst fear Allah. Then when Zaid had dissolved (his marriage) with her, with the necessary (formality), We joined her in marriage to thee in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in (the matter of) marriage with the wives of their adopted sons, when the latter have dissolved with the necessary (formality) (their marriage) with them. And Allah's command must be fulfilled.
38.
Ma kana AAala alnnabiyyimin harajin feema farada Allahu lahusunnata Allahi fee allatheena khalaw min qablu wakanaamru Allahi qadaran maqdooranThere can be no difficulty to the Prophet in what Allah has indicated to him as a duty. It was the practice (approved) of Allah amongst those of old that have passed away. And the command of Allah is a decree determined.
39.
Allatheena yuballighoona risalatiAllahi wayakhshawnahu wala yakhshawna ahadanilla Allaha wakafa biAllahi haseeban(It is the practice of those) who preach the Messages of Allah, and fear Him, and fear none but Allah. And enough is Allah to call (men) to account.
40.
Ma kana muhammadun abaahadin min rijalikum walakin rasoola Allahiwakhatama alnnabiyyeena wakana Allahubikulli shay-in AAaleemanMuhammad is not the father of any of your men, but ( is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets and Allah has full knowledge of all things.
And there isn?t any adopted son as such that I think is a significant mistranslation as well.
Using burhans see the root Du?a ? DAL,AIN,WA .And (remember) when (he) said to him ?you have received the grace of Allah and favour "Retain thou (in wedlock) thy wife, and fear Allah." But didst hide in the heart that which Allah was about to make manifest and didst fear the people, but Allah had better right that he should have feared Him. So when their desire to finally end the union increased We joined her in a new marriage tie in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in the wives yearning/cry, when the latter have dissolved with the necessary (formality) (their marriage) with them. And Allah's command must be fulfilled.
Not being a father
This is simply a snub statement against the allegations of the people about the prophet - as you can?t marry the wife of a son, can you? so Mohammad could marry her.
And so King David didn?t do anything wrong as people have depicted him in the Bible stories.
Please correct me if you think this isn?t right.
Thanks and please note I am not trying to change your mind ? just scrap it if it offends you ? God Bless All.

I wonder why this post has not yet been answered/commented since 2007? Or maybe it has been discussed somewhere else?
