Yes God knows the fault,
we know we are not alone, we come from something and we end up into something, Inbetween we get hold of some resources to perfom and try contribute whatever we have in whatever form to the rest. Our pride our ego and greed will be shattered for sure if we are not thankful enough.
he already knows everything and he also knows most of the creation will end up in hell.
at this stage an intelligent being can think why doing all this drama ?
