I was wondering how many people within this online community have engaged with the eclectic field of Quranic Studies in Arabic? namely the works of Dr Mahmoud Shahrur, Dr Ahmed Subhy Mansour and Hassan Ibn Farhan Al Maliky?
Or even the academic researcher Dr Angelika Neurwirth ?
What are you initial thoughts on the aforementioned authors and their viewpoints/ methodology?

I have seen some of Angelika Neuwirth's talks on "the Qur'an in late antiquity". Its definitely interesting hearing her perspective on the Qur'an and it's development in the context of late antiquity.
Hasan ibn Farhan Al Maliki is someone I enjoy listening to. It's a shame not many of his videos have been translated into English. I think he's currently in prison in Saudi. I have not engaged much with any of his written works however. From what I've heard of his few talks I like his approach to the islam of the Qur'an and also the way he speaks out against the hadith traditions. It highlights how the common themes of the Qur'an have been missed such as justice and sincerity, righteousness etc and that the Islam we have today is a ritualistic fallacy.
I've not come across any of the others
