True, we shouldnt wait for a Saviour. We need to save ourselves. But still, the Bible supports a coming of the Mahdi. Read Revelation 911. Some call him the Antichrist some call him Christ who will not turn the other cheek but if you read what his purpose is, its obvious that he will be sent by GOD to punish the wicked.
