    Peace all believers....

Quran is clear what it says... How much people twist and depend on dictionary to change its built in meaning....

921 " And (By) the Night as it Conceals
    922 "And (By) the Day as it appears in glory;

Who taught you to say sun is feminine and brightness is masculine... That's all nonsensical assumption... Did you forget... God took sun as masculine and moon is feminine in Yousuf dream to depict father and mother... But here moon also masculine in corpus.. As IK says in our language also moon feminine... I don't trust what people created...

Quran translation and applying feminine and masculine is human assumption .. Assumption is not equal to truth...
For example.. Some consider Allah as masculine and some proper noun... No concerted application...
You can take many a example... In 235
Shaitan is masculine and Adam is masculine while his partner is also masculine and Janna is feminine....
They are mere assumption... Like we call the earth she... We don't mind... But in reality they are not... only two genders by god and it fits only two what it deserve... Not out assumptions...

You guys dragging one another waqas's tail... Even he is confused... When people say sun rise... basically no one would say sun and brightness rise... Nonsense... Even before run rise brightness appears... You guys don't even give a thought why God mentioned brightness in the chapter... Total ignorance...

If one can say I take in 911-3 as sun only and another can say I take the brightness only... For God both one whole thing.... What's wrong with you people intellect, specially waqas.... No need to go in the foot board while there are lots of seats in the bus... Catching a very single verse and manipulate according to taste... While neglecting all. Other verses...
Meanwhile very interesting thing my Distant uncle who is in Cairo says word THALA in 913 is not Follow... I thought he is kidding.. Then I checked corpus.. All other 60 plus occasions are meaning recite... Got to research why it only became follow... Or it is up to anyone who is interested may research...
Human has body and soul and we say.. He walkS and not He walk without S just coz he =body + soul

    May god guide us

      peace GL, jkhan,

This issue has been mentioned before and unless someone can bring some new evidence based on grammar then it is as follows
      https//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9608453.msg389009#msg389009

      Quote

"sun/shams" is a feminine noun. "brightness/duha" is a masculine noun. Thus

By the sun and its brightness.
And the moon that follows it.
And the "nahar" (day) that reveals it.
And the "layl" (night) that covers it.

      Peace Everyone...

Below are the few excerpts from Brother Waqas?s Article?

?O you who believe! Obey Allah and Obey the Messenger and do not turn back from HIM <anhu> while you hear? (820)
Here the believers are identified to be those who were listening to the Messenger who delivers the Qur?anic laws to them, as the singular pronoun ?anhu? (from him) indicates. This confirms that Allah and His Messenger are not two separate sources of law to be obeyed, but that the source of Divine law to be obeyed is ONLY Allah and ONLY the people are able to hear these divine laws through the LIPS of His Messenger.
Isn?t Allah and Messenger taken as one source of message?

We can say here in 0820 obey Allah is different and Obey Messenger is different so the grammar (anHU ? from HIM) is wrong?. As per Waqas No.. And as per all those who take quran only NO? otherwise they won?t take quran only? So here (anHUMA ? from THEM) is not mentioned and still grammar is correct.. Though Allah and Mohamed is separate, the core here is to obey the message coming from Allah to His represented Messenger, so it in the end what we Obey is GOD and not Mohamed?it means ONE thing.. Here ANHU (HIM) means = Allah + His Message

That?s why I say SUN (OBJECT) + BRIGHTNESS = ONE THING( Inseparable)? that?s why "HA" is used instead of HUMA by GOD precisely.....

There are more examples if you read and crack?.

Moon = Mother is just your assumption and SUN = Father as well.....
Yaqoob is the key figure here... he was a prophet...and mother is not at all mentioned in the chapter 12... and Yusuf's brothers most of them were notorious... they were mean and insignificant when compared with SUN and MOON so they are kawkaban....assumption and just merely from dictionary won't help understanding quran...sorry for that..

I know about the knowledge of my uncle.. He is a graduate in one of the leading arabic universities of Cairo.... though his father was from Peshawar, pakistan...
Nevertheless... he didnt tell me what is the meaning of THALA but asked me to search self... coz he knows i only accept what is right...
Did i Say THALA means RECITE in the verse 913... don't just concoct stories... i said i want to research...

GL = if i my memory is correct prays 5 times
          Waqas + IK = 2 times
          Centi = 03 times
          hmmm
Novice = Closely following.. no ritual
for some other type like MI

@ NW... now tell me is that what quran says... complication?

Research and confirm all verses of night and day? that's the best way rather than bringing genders of feminine and masculine which human infused..

added note.. Even keep THALA "HA" as feminine as per your understanding... then why not as one whole thing of SUN+BRIGHTNESS.. Why separate it? WHEN feminine and masculine join together how do you say ? HA.... lol

Note well these gender assignment of feminine and masculine is based on mere personalize factors... it varies language to language coz of the belief and acceptance in the society what a matter belongs to ... for example SAMA = Feminine ...for what reason it is feminine? just mere conviction based on culture mingled with languages... but quran cannot be taken for granted..

just take a look of the verse 917
            Wanafsi wama sawwaha
meaning .... " .. and the soul who proportioned it .."

Here NAFS = SOUL (feminine)... for what reason it is feminine

so it reads like " And the Soul(feminine) who proportioned HER... total nonsense..

918 And He inspired HER, HER wickedness and HER righteousness.... nope

919 He(masculine) succeeds who purifies HER (ZakkaHA).... laugh rotfl

9110 And indeed He(masculine) fails who buries HER (DassaHA)

9111 Thamud denied by HER transgression (BithaghwaHA) laugh

So you agree with what I am saying?
                    GOD bless you.

                    Yes.

A simple way to disprove our claim is find an occurrence in Quran wherein it uses the masculine pronoun to refer to the sun.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

                      Thank you wakas.

Some ,for whatever reason, accept that day can have parts where brightness of the sun is weaker or stronger like morning .midday...
But think that night is only the dark period! Like dawn is part of the day to them?
In this case there are at least 5 parts to the day but only one part to the night.
Yet they never stop to think /ponder this!
                      GOD bless you.

Dear Brother GL a question away from Night and day but kind of personal but still relevant with Salat topic...
If you think you are going in line with the understanding of Waqas and you both agree that night start at sunset and day starts at sunrise... then... Why both of you contradict in the same topic while waqas choose two salat and you choose 5 ?...
What went wrong for both of you? Why not either waqas change to 5 or you change to two handshake

                          correction

wakas didnt choose anything he claimed whats there in Book called Quran in a catagorised way.

1 salat ul fajar ( Time sala)
2 salat ul isha ( Time sala )

3 Al salwat ul wusta (cetral/markazi salawat).

people who are adding more to it mean they are choosing more salwat with their own wish.

i m sorry i have to change my thinking as per the clear picture of your learning skills.
you need atleast TEN years undertanding what wakas is saying in all of his articles linking one thing to another, why you putting a burden in ur head what u cant handle? do pity urself and ur brain if its not understanding a simple case. just undertand what work u can get from brain like making pakoras or samosas something like that,

whoever gave u advice of researching is ur enemy and it already done you over rotfl

What went wrong for both of you? Why not either waqas change to 5 or you change to two

I also do not agree with you on how many Salat a day. Does that mean I change to yours or you change to mine?

But you are saying wakas and me agree on this clear grammar of Qoran; IT in the verses is the SUN. The issue is why do you disagree with it? You have not come up with a logical answer.

It does not matter where wakas and me agree or disagree on other matters. We are talking about day and night according to the verses mentioned.
                              GOD bless you.
                              Peace.

This is not other matter as you claim. Salat is based on the movement of sun.. Sun guides for timing... Without sun and it's brightness world is under darkness... So sun and brightness decides Day and night to the earth... So you guys are in a concerted meaning and understanding of sun in Quran.... So when it comes to Salat why it goes contradictory... Hope both living in the same world if not in Midnight sun locations... Lol

BTW... I never agreed with u... So I am already contradictory with your and waqas's understanding.... That's irrelevant.... If you like to answer okay.. If not fine.. I don't want increase Your BP.... And I know it's hard to change after ages...
                                God guide u...

                                  correction

wakas didnt choose anything he claimed whats there in Book called Quran in a catagorised way.

I wonder why the tail comes out first before the head... Yes.. It's the habit of those who hang on... Forgetting where they hang...

                                    Peace to all

Are these not classes of night?

                                    Dark Night
Layl muzliman the dark night 10/27

                                    Night
                                    Layl the night 11/81, 15/65

                                    Peace...
Of course night has stages of darkness... Don't you see it naturally... Not only night has stages but night differs season to season and even within a month... If full moon there it is not a dark night.... But still night.... When the first twilight is over I mean civil twilight... You can see the darkness trying to cover the brightness.... At the dawn the opposite... Every moment it brightens..... When the civil light of dawn. Appeared... There is no sign of night... Even you see the sun rise or not... Or a cloudy day...
Breaking fast based on the assumption of sun set is always tricky.... You will never know unless you have the horizon.... But no need to bother to breakfast at night. When civil light over... Simply you need assistance of artificial light Evey moment you pass on

Its a pity that Allah did not give clear timing and other details for the most important ritual in His last communication to the mankind. He left it open for poor humans to argue, debate and find their own ways of performing the ritual. bravo bravo bravo

this particular reply is for those who ask for clear indications of everything... First of all God created this world and didn't put a signature on the sky ... Creator of this is GOD... everything is left for the human and Jinn to research ... salat verses are clearly indicated or not is left with the search and if anyone is screened behind it without being able to perceive... that's unfortunate...
God created animals and told us it is lawful with some exception... Did God explain us saying you should eat by cooking, baking, steaming frying... That's option and preference with god gifted knowledge...
So God's preference in everything is to research and find out the truth ... That's why this peculiar book itself entirely different to all human made books which are straightforward complying with the topic...But God's book is almost like hilarious if one read it first time... it won't take you with one mind set... the taste of it only could be grasped by those who reads it again and again... Any book in my life which i have read is only once and never tried to read it again... but God's book how many times i read, i feel like i never read it before...
There is no point by any believer who claim that God has not unfortunately explained this and that... if explained then that's it .. if not explained then that is not part of book...
This is a common message and not personal to anyone.. but to all who wants more from the book while book is detailed...
