If a person goes to Heaven, do you think they can wish...
-
salam Imran and Novice
thanks for the responses
I wonder if the laws of physics apply in Heaven...I wonder if there's going to be night and day, palaces in the sky, aging
Salaam Sarah
Do you think jannat is a physical place? Many wise people have concluded that jannat is not a place but a state.
God bless you.
-
place and state doesnt matter when ?SELF/character? is conscious.
its all about awareness of what we want to see/feel/understand.we are at the same time in a physical place with a conscious state. thats what appear to us.
-
it will be more than what u can imagine at this TIME/SPACE.
you will not have Day and Night there but you will have Live calenders of present and past
u will not have sun/moon there but suns/moons within your reach from billions of galaxies
somewhere in metaphoric sense its said people have day and night at same time which means we will be masters of time and laws of time and restriction of waiting for day and night will b finish. and he/she will create his own time/space.
you will have more than three dimenshns may b (what we have no knowledge yet)
your physical laws will surprise you by reversals like flow of water go upwards instead downward.
SLM imrankhawaja,
so we are gonna be GODS over there ...?? than no shirk ?
-
- Assuming that the description of heaven is literally exactly what it is described and not symbolic or vague or a metaphor or something other than the literal reading.
- Assuming that people who are "heaven worthy" live in heaven with their soul and body and not purely souls or a purified form of what regular people of earth currently are.
- Assuming that people who are "heaven worthy" think the same way as regular people of earth
I can't think of a reply for all this
(i mean no point in going further) -

i dun kno anything what i have no idea bout herafter although the question u ask is invalid i gave my views more than dozen times i guess.
again i ll try to tell you difference between creator and creation.God/s is not a creation. hez the master of all creation who can possibly make u access the laws of time/space ( incase someone wish in heavens to see the evolution process of planet or shape of earth )

(i mean no point in going further)yeh thats what logical minds think.
OP was just curious to know what we can have on herafter?
so i said her ?whatever u can wish? as per religious books.even whatever u cant wish lol.
example in this life we only wish to have more than 4 wives but hereafter not only for men but also for women therez no restriction of (male and female hoors) in a showcase where you will ( make your own )hoor by selecting hair color, lips design, big eyes with liner, eyes color of ur choice etc so basically one hoor can switch into 72 different getups hahahaha. thats what they were wishing in 7th century. look at human mind. he dnt even know if therez no production herefater whats the point of sex ?
again if someone want the pleasures of wordly life ( creator hinting) towards plantey of Gold, silver, barbeque birds, hoors, music of next level, etc all wordly attractive things are in abundance. telling us tricky side of attractive things of this world.
only difference is PURE vs impure
we have impure wine/milk/honey here as a (example) -
...for the following
- For exact, same duplicates/ copies/ clones (but NOT robots, real humans) of loved ones who never made it to Heaven and are in Hell (with same memory stored in their minds)
They won't be loved ones anymore they will be enemies
4367 Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous. -
...for the following
-
For exact, same duplicates/ copies/ clones (but NOT robots, real humans) of loved ones who never made it to Heaven and are in Hell (with same memory stored in their minds)
-
To be able to change gender back and forth like today I'm female, tomorrow male and then day after female again
-
If there was something on earth we always wanted to know about but could never find out about
-
Be able to change our physical appearance to anything we want to look like
-
Would we need the bathroom (because some hadith say we won't but we no longer believe in them lol)
-
Could we fight for fun like sword fighting or wrestling
Peace all....
1721 ?Look how We have favored some of them over others. But the Hereafter is greater in degrees and greater in distinction.?
6132 And for all are degrees from what they have done. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do.?
Above verses are very clear that we can?t go beyond what is destined for us in the Janna we are assigned? we can?t wish for the status given to one who flawless in his life of test for him Allah would have bestowed the best of destination?
We can only wish with what is created for us in the Janna we have been assigned? We can?t change our status or even we can?t become male to female or female to male? we can?t have the company of Prophets unless we have been given according to our deeds in this world such status?.
If one claim that what our minds wishes will be given hereafter, then we can ask can we become Malak.. no chance.. or even ask beyond that.? no, we won?t get everything what we wish but we will get everything what is made in the Janna we are assigned?
When you read Chapter 55 or 56 you will find most of the answers to the topic? Janna is destined according to deeds?. Janna has gates and janna is classified with its features and delight?.4145 ?Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depth (grade) of the Fire; no helper will you find for them?
Same scenario in the Jahanna(hell) as well?. No one will be put to the worse heaven unless they really deserve it? it also has the status according the deeds of them ?.
How just God is? that?s heart touching?.So we won?t get everything we wish in Janna but everything what is created in the assigned Janna where you live? not beyond that.. that?s what verses 21102 & 4131 means? Simply you can?t get the status of the Foremost (Shaabiqun)5610?. To deserve whatever mind wishes needs hard work in this world.. to be the most nearest to God (Mukarrabun)5610?.
So in my simple understanding based on above? You can?t wish everything what you wish even in Janna? but limited as per our deeds and the Janna furnished to us?then we can wish what we want in that particular assigned Janna? -

Yes The Sardhar.... Peace...
It would have been much appropriate if you had put a word what is your opinion to the topic... Verses are perfect to deduce for me... For example the verse you brought 5035.... Janna is in one Earth similar to the one we are with now and better features and bigger, in it will be different type of Gardens which will be assigned based on the deeds of each individual... Wherein they can wish what they want and not beyond that particular Janna.... In the same earth will be Jahanna....
I give you a simple example to be more specific.... Suppose I will be fortunate and deserved the Janna of any Grade.... You know I am entitled to ask what my mind wishes from that Janna and there will be more what we can't even know to wish.... But my simple answer is that we can't get everything what wish away from Janna is designed with... .. Reward on merit simply...
This is what I would ask if I can go beyond the restrictions of Janna... If my loved ones in case craving for water and if I can somehow hear it and if I say to God you promised me you will give whatever our mind wish .... So pls let me give them some water from the abundance you provided me with.... Will god allow me.???.. What you think.... No way.... We can't give them water... Though our mind may WISH..... We can ask whatever we want for our pleasure for what we have done in this world as a reward... And we are not to change the law of God...
We are as human always limited..... Janna is a delight kingdom anyway.... You will not fed up for sure.... It's simply like spend as much as you want if you have never ending money on anything you like...but remember you can only spend money on which money can buy for you... There are loads of thing money cannot buy...
Same way... Janna is what is designed for you and not beyond it.... Wish what you wish within it... And you can't what you are not permitted to. .God guide us...

Salam/Peace dear brother, it was not my intention to be critical, it was more like a addendum to your point which i find it interesting.

@Jkhan,
I suppose in Jannah you can have anything you wish as long as it's possible and permissible...if God can transform a stick into a snake, this means perhaps in Jannah the laws of physics may not necessarily always apply. For example, perhaps a person can fly in Jannah... -
In paradise would you wish to be male if you were female on earth. Guaranteed you would wish for night if the day becomes too long. In the paradise I wish Allah takes care of everything

Greetings and peace, all group

(i mean no point in going further)1335 The example of Paradise which the righteous are promised, is that rivers flow beneath it, and its provisions are continuous as is its shade. Such is the abode of those who were righteous, while the abode of the rejecters is the Fire.
4715 Is the example of Paradise; that the righteous have been promised with rivers of pure water, and rivers of milk whose taste does not change, and rivers of alcohol that are delicious for the drinkers, and rivers of strained honey, and for them in it are all kinds of fruits, and a forgiveness from their Lord; like that of those who abide in the Fire, and are given to drink boiling water that cuts-up their intestines?
It seems clear to me that Paradise is described not literally but metaphorically. It is a nice place and is described as such in terms that we can grasp.
May the Almighty see fit to Guide all seekers.
peace

Agree with Abdul-Hadi
We can't plan for paradise or the fire. We will find out about it when we are there. God tells us we, if we make it, will have everything we desire. But do we have any blooming idea of what we might desire in those circumstances? Sure we do not. I f we follow the "mathal", example, probably our desires will be congruent with what we are when we are there, not with something that is completely over.
Will we wear clothes the same size that we do now, for instance? It is nonsense to plan as if we commanded anything.
I stick to the last ayas of Al fajr
'O soul at peace, (27) return unto thy Lord, well-pleased, well-pleasing! (2 Enter thou among My servants! (29) Enter thou My Paradise!' (30)
Fullfilment and full satisfaction...
May God be merciful, and guide us to that destiny and not his displeasure. May He!
