Hi, I think your website is very good. On the home page, under the heading todays Islam you quote the following

?'Shall I seek other than God as a judge when He has sent down to you this Scripture fully detailed?'? Those to whom We have given the Scripture know it is sent down from your Lord with truth; so do not be of those who have doubt." (The Message 6116)

but when i look up The Message 6116 in other sources than yours this is what I find

Wa-in tutiAA akthara man fee al-ardiyudillooka AAan sabeeli Allahi in yattabiAAoona illaalththanna wa-in hum illa yakhrusoona
Wert thou to follow the common run of those on earth, they will lead thee away from the way of Allah. They follow nothing but conjecture they do nothing but lie.

    or

"If you obeyed most of those on earth they would mislead you far from the path of Allah" .

why is there a big difference in the interpretations, please can someone explain why this is ?.

    thanks

      peace,

It is most likely a numbering issue. Please read the foreword

      http//www.free-minds.org/quran/PM/P

The change in numbering will inevitbly cause confusion for people, but one should read the foreword before reading the actual translation.

I do not subscribe to the new numbering... yet.

      Wakas

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.
