safa and marwa
-
salam everyone
do you think mount gerizim and mount ebal could perhaps be safa and marwa? (this is assuming perhaps safaa and marwa are indeed valleys or mountains)
they are two mountains or valleys next to each other that the samaritan jews believe to be sacred and where they perfom passover gathering (on mount gerizim)
i saw on youtube that archeologists found thousand of goat and sheep skeletons and gold coins on the site (they say cause people paid for pilgrimage)
video i saw

however, one my issues with the site include the fact that they say there is a byzantin church on the mountain ....
any comments welcome

peace,
I can't really say it much better than the article, but if you want the brief version
It's not possible to conclude what safa and marwa are. I provided possibilities in the article however.
