    Hello All,

Having browsed different topics over these months on this forum, I have come across some members describing themselves with labels. For examples

    Sunni
    neo Sunni
    Koran Alone
    God Alone
    Koran Alone and God Alone
Koran Alone and God Alone and Sahi Haidth Alone
    Hadithist
    neo Hadithist
    Bukarite
    Khalifite
    19er
    Submitter
    etc. etc. etc...

Perhaps I would be lumped with "God Alone" since scripture is not important to me! -)

I also realised that some groups call other groups with words like Idolators, Hypocrites, Satanic Innovators and even Satanist etc...

Can we not just be HUMAN beings?
Or Indviduals that happen to believe in A GOD? (perhaps Atheist may object to that....?) So perhaps just Individual Human Being?

    Thoughts please...

    Thanks.

    Regards,

      salam Lotetree.

what do u mean by "belief in God" ? only believing in the existence of A God ? u also have to believe in words of God , which He sends to us for our guidance through his messengers , the prophets . if one doesnt believe in the words of God , how can he say that he believes in God . that way he only believes in the existence of God , which the most evil ones do to .

        Peace Lotetree

We grow accustomed to titles because we are constantly made to define our selves. People will ask me what I am right now, Am I good or bad, right or wrong, liberal or rebuplican, happy or sad? (I am All of the above does not seem to be a pleasing answer.) So I hold that other's may do as they wish, while me I will just BE. )

Have you noticed that when you talk in parable's the material mind will search the world for a lost ark while the spiritual mind will search the self for a lost ark!?

I like the story of the burning bush where Musa is confronted by God and God speaks I Am that I Am, well I believe we are the I Am.

Can we not just be HUMAN beings?
Or Indviduals that happen to believe in A GOD? (perhaps Atheist may object to that....?) So perhaps just Individual Human Being?

I believe as long as we believe in a title we will set limit's to our selve's (If I say I am a human being then I have excluded my soul, the driver), does God have a limit?

God is infinite and ever growing, you can never define that because how can you confine to words that which is always expanding?

        Have fun.

        peace,

I've been looking for an opportunity to say this and now I have.

          To whom it may Concern.

Natu was once a sunni muslim then a muslim, and now he is no longer a muslim. He may be considered apostate.

Sectarian muslims may start colecting their stones for their stoning procedures for an apostate. And muslims may inquire further after this post.

We, as mankind, are all HUMANS and a "label" by itself. Labeling is a common human tendency and resides on beliefs. No matter what one's beliefs, one labels the other as such, whether one is a GOD Aloner, Submitter, Atheist, Naturalist/Realist (as I am), Muslim, Christian, etc. It is not for me to take it for granted for what others label me out of their own whims and I care less.

I believe in the natural process or way of life that leads me to live a righteous and a loving life in my very own realm at any given point. Quran professes guidance and I take a step outside of it to apply the basics and fundamentals of this very guide, although not the only guide but reflections of a wise man/men.

                Peace,

Satan acknowledges that there is one God; and Satan also acknowledges the account on the final day. This does not make Satan a muslim - a muslim is one who as wel as these things, submits to God's will - ie. does good deeds and avoids the bad.

The reading does say to 'submit' - saying one is a believer (mumin) is wrong - one can only 'submit' and God is the one who establishes belief once that happens.

                  Hello Khalil and all,

Interesting views on this topic -)

We grow accustomed to titles because we are constantly made to define our selves. People will ask me what I am right now, Am I good or bad, right or wrong, liberal or rebuplican, happy or sad? (I am All of the above does not seem to be a pleasing answer.) So I hold that other's may do as they wish, while me I will just BE.

Yeah me too. I like this idea! -)

Have you noticed that when you talk in parable's the material mind will search the world for a lost ark while the spiritual mind will search the self for a lost ark!?

                  Very true!.

I like the story of the burning bush where Musa is confronted by God and God speaks I Am that I Am, well I believe we are the I Am.

"I am what I am" - I have been told that in Hebrew it means very vague i.e it means something like God saying to Moses to mind your own business!

I believe as long as we believe in a title we will set limit's to our selve's (If I say I am a human being then I have excluded my soul, the driver), does God have a limit?

Good point perhaps. But we are Human Beings regardless whether you believe in a soul or not?

                  Hello Natu

I've been looking for an opportunity to say this and now I have.

                  To whom it may Concern.

Natu was once a sunni muslim then a muslim, and now he is no longer a muslim. He may be considered apostate.

Sectarian muslims may start colecting their stones for their stoning procedures for an apostate. And muslims may inquire further after this post.

With my "God Alone" stance Natu that means perhaps I am for stoning too -(
Let me then stand with you for the stoning, it will be honour to recieve the same punishment as you! -)

We, as mankind, are all HUMANS and a "label" by itself.

Yes. I understand but it is an "uniting" label I think. But yes it is true it is a still a label.

Labeling is a common human tendency and resides on beliefs. No matter what one's beliefs, one labels the other as such, whether one is a GOD Aloner, Submitter, Atheist, Naturalist/Realist (as I am), Muslim, Christian, etc.It is not for me to take it for granted for what others label me out of their own whims and I care less.

I can agree on this approach.

I believe in the natural process or way of life that leads me to live a righteous and a loving life in my very own realm at any given point. Quran professes guidance and I take a step outside of it to apply the basics and fundamentals of this very guide, although not the only guide but reflections of a wise man/men.

Again an execellent approach to spirituality.

                  Regards,

                      Thanks Sis Marie

That is the verse I wanted to dicuss, but i couldn't find it.

And strive in the cause of God its truly deserved striving. He is the One who has chosen you, and He has made no hardship for you in the system, the creed of your father Abraham; He is the One who named you 'those who have surrendered' from before as well as in this. So let the messenger be witness over you and you be witness over mankind. So hold the contact-method and contribute towards betterment and hold tight to God, He is your patron. What an excellent Patron, and what an excellent Supporter.

Does it say anywhere still that we are supposed to call ourselves that? Nope!

Secondly, even if we are supposed to be known as "Muslims" - that is not becuase we have a label on our foreheads saying we are muslims, it is becuase we have the spiritual status to be "muslims" - (One who is at peace) - it is not a label for someone who believes in God - the way you can tell a "muslim" from a non-mulim" is by seeing how they are at peace even in the worst situation, becuase God has promised happiness to the believers. "Muslim" is not a person belonging to a religion, it is someone who is at peace. so if an agnostic person believes in God for a period, and experiences peace, he is "Muslim" during that period of time - not part of a religion, but just a person at peace.

So I do not consider myself a muslim. If I am really stressed I am not muslim (possibly becuase i am not remembering God enough), and when I am relaxed, listening to some soft music, i'll be a "muslim" - yet still not becuase I have become a member of "Islam" while I was listening to that music.

So Abraham didn't actually label us as anything, he basically said that people who follow him will be known by all as people at peace - that is why we see hipocrites (Those who go around broadcasting that they label themselves as muslims and then drive a plane into a building) calling themselves muslims but not being at peace at all - they are unsuccessful, and the fact that they still call themselves muslims show their hipocricy - they're still adamant that they're right!

What do you think of that Marie?
                      Does it make sense?

Not "named" but described us as peacefully submitting.

All is ONE. Seperation is the method of Iblis. When you NAME/DEFINE something, you are seperating it from the WHOLE, you are LIMITING The UNLIMITED.

So you have the Garden, but then you have THAT TREE.

You have malaika, but then you have IBLIS

Adam describes the one who fell, his story is about NAMING /DEFINING things.

Yes, there is a place for naming and defining things, but once understood, we are suppossed to be putting it all back together again.

It is these TITLES that are keeping us from geeting to that UNIFIED TRUTH.

Juste a rematk, wasafa/to describe and samma/to name maybe have a common notion by they are not de same things. TBoth are used in the Reading.

                              ) hear hear (here)

"I am what I am" - I have been told that in Hebrew it means very vague i.e it means something like God saying to Moses to mind your own business!

The version I was told read's as I Am that I Am God is everything (I am that I am) and we are I Am (a part of everything, God), on our return to being I Am that I Am.

I did a quick google and the overall translation seems to be that (see me).

Good point perhaps. But we are Human Beings regardless whether you believe in a soul or not?

If this is what you believe then this will be your truth. If I believe the world is beautiful then it becomes beautiful and if I believe that the world is ugly then it becomes ugly, we create our own realities.

We are a soul if we believe we are and we are a human being if we believe we are, everything just is neither good nor bad until we declare it to be.

I should add that the limit's of being a human are based on how one defines a human. The majority do seem to believe that we are human's and just that, we have boxed our self into the world of physical beauty and are now a slave to time. What we dwell on we build, all are borne in the womb (within).

Now would you say you are a car or driving a car, why then say we are human beings ?

You see what was truth to you lastweek may not be truth to you today, yet to another it may still be truth. And this does not make them or you wrong, because we create our own realitie's, everything starts as a thought and are not thoughts real (Making them true)?

There were those who believe'd that the world was flat and never ventured beyond and there were those who believed the world was round and ventured beyond, will you?

Yes I have a body, a human body but I am not my body, my human body.

                              peace,

It's funny because I am reading a book right now that use's the term isness to define God as just BEing so the line has stood out to me in a much deeper way now, good way to end a song.

What are some of your favourite tracks of Common's? G.O.D, Retrospect 4 Life, Time Travling, Ghetto Heaven, Nag Champ and Between Me, You & Liberation are all amazing classic's IMO.

                                  peace,

                                    Salam Natu,

Secondly, even if we are supposed to be known as "Muslims" - that is not becuase we have a label on our foreheads saying we are muslims, it is becuase we have the spiritual status to be "muslims" - (One who is at peace) -

Exactly. It is not a label, being muslim implies being muslim to the God (320)

                                    Sorry I must leave.

                                    Peace

Thanks marie - I think I'll end it here as well.

So we are muslim on and off depending on whether we are at peace or not - so we cannot call ourselves muslims for we may not be all the time. Muslim is a person in a specific state of mind, which doesn't neccessarily remain constant. So I am not muslim, and Ihave no religion, (shiya'an) I only have an oerly prescribed lifestyle (Den) - and you can guess what Iread in my spare time... Good old Aidy Zaffy wink

                                        Hello Khalil,

                                        Thanks for your thought.

I did a quick google and the overall translation seems to be that (see me).

The original Hebrew words were "Ehyeh asher ehyey" and have been translated as "I am Who I am. But I take it overall meaning would be I am that I am...

                                        Thanks for the clarification.

Thanks for your thoughts on this topics. I understand what you are trying to convey...

                                        Regards,

being at peace is a consequence of being muslim to the God; serving only Him.
One is safe/in peace while entering in the God's system.

                                          In 3929 is agood example

                                          1. God cites the example of a man belonging to partners that dispute about him, and a man belonging to only one man. Are they the same? Praise be to God; most of them do not know.
Daraba Allahu mathalan rajulanfeehi shurakao mutashakisoona warajulan salaman lirajulin hal yastawiyani mathalan alhamdu lillahibal aktharuhum la yaAAlamoona

                                          A. Shabir
3929 Allah gives you another example There is a man who deals with several disputing supervisors, compared to a man who deals with only one consistent supervisor. Are these two equal as regards their condition? All Praise is due to Allah (the One Master of all mankind!) Nay, but most of them know not (the Bliss of strict Monotheism (1239)).
