    Hello All,

From reading a lot of posts from various members of this forum, I get the impression (though I may be wrong on this) that majority of the people have sucessfully unburdended themselves from the tryanny of all "organised religion". I myself have come to reject all forms of organised religion long time ago and I feel better for it and I am sure some members will feel the same way. All though I am not into promoting anything to others I feel that welcoming the Death of Religion will be a good thing in the long run in the empowerment of the individuals to find their own understandign of God and religion.

    What say you on this?

    Regards,

      Dear Lote-Tree,

completely agree with you - and religion is just part of it. There's nationalism and so many other 'isms' - including egoism... takes a life - may be more (?) to fight them all and feel part of the whole...

        Salaams all,
i don't agreejust look at what a religion is supposed to be!

        definition of religion Religion

The outward act or form by which men indicate their recognition of the existence of a god or of gods having power over their destiny, to whom obedience, service, and honor are due; the feeling or expression of human love, fear, or awe of some superhuman and overruling power, whether by profession of belief, by observance of rites and ceremonies, or by the conduct of life; a system of faith and worship; a manifestation of piety; as, ethical religions; monotheistic religions; natural religion; revealed religion; the religion of the Jews; the religion of idol worshipers.

Specifically, conformity in faith and life to the precepts inculcated in the Bible, respecting the conduct of life and duty toward God and man; the Christian faith and practice.

A monastic or religious order subject to a regulated mode of life; the religious state; as, to enter religion.

Strictness of fidelity in conforming to any practice, as if it were an enjoined rule of conduct.

If some religions don't conform to Gods laws does it mean we musn't conform to a religion?

        Gods Blessings.

We are to conform to God's laws, not to religion, whether the religion claims to follow God's laws or not. )

          Peace.

            Hi LT

I have just about left "religion" altogether.

I am no longer "muslim", I don't beliueve in "Islam" (These are both nothing but labels) and I consider scripture only as a blessing - I am personally spiritually weak so I nned it, but I don'd see why everybody would need it.

              Peace All,

In the 11 years that I can say I've been honestly searching for truth, I've found that it's been 11 years of de-programming myself, layer by layer, from what I've been indocrinated to 'believe'.

There have been times when I actually felt frightened by the possibility that the path of my thoughts would be leading me out of the fold of Islam. Nowadays, I feel islam is exactly where I'm headed.

I feel organized religion is precisely what I don't want to be a part of, and this is not out of laziness nor rebellion, but out of an innate need for a life of substance. I can't help this, nor would I want to.

I've grown tired of debates, of trying to figure out what words mean, of comparing interpretaions, of reading things about people who lived millenia ago.

Life is now. My philosophy, based on the info I've compiled from ancient eastern philosophies to modern lecturers, from montheistic religions to scientific data, is this
Be good to yourself, be good to others, and be good to nature. Take time out everyday to witness life and ponder, even if it's just a few moments. Laugh as much as you can. Make people smile. Take interest in the thoughts of others. Be humble and do what makes you happy.

Our souls will evolve to the next level, whatever that may be, of this I have no doubt. That evolution started the day we were born. We are building our futures now, and not by following rules, but by allowing the spirit to permeate the mind and body.

Be yourself. Love yourself. That's my organized religion. wink

              Peace,
              Tay

                Salaams Zenje,

                you said

"We are to conform to God's laws, not to religion, whether the religion claims to follow God's laws or not. "

But isn't conforming to a God/or Gods laws a Religion?According to the general definition.

                God Bless.

                  Salaam mz,

If that's what it is, then fine... the label doesn't mean much to me. Conforming (serving) to the God, is what's important, what we define the action as, is of little significance. I was only pointing out to the "conforming to religion", that can only cause confusion.

                  Peace )

don't forget, the titel of the thread is "death of organized religion"... not "death of religion"!

And about the difficulty of defining religion

                      Salaams

I think my previous view was wrong , there shouldn't be religions as God Has only one set of laws and you can follow them or don't follow them.

So if we know them we should try and follow them and be the best of the humans that is all.

Good the whole world is open to such people no limitations regarding foods cultures religions countries e.t.c

Indeed such believers would be leaders in all walks of life-to my thinking anyways.

Nice and i like it - i think.

                      Peace.

                        Peace,

Through history, when people begin to understand they free themselves, but It's like a cycle. The religions always come back and empower the masses.

The earlier muslims freed themselves and flourished and enjoyed the life and thought of the Unseen but it was not long before they went back to the old religions and strayed from the purer way.

Thank GOD that we are free from what they associate with GOD.

                          Peace,

The evildoers were enticed by the Devil to manipulate the Quran and bring about a fantastic and cleverly designed man-made Religion to name it Islam, the worst of all other idolworshipping system mankind has ever witnessed. Millions of innocent bystanders and illiterates have been/are duped into such blasphemous and hypocritical doctrine authored by pagan rituals and conjectural heresies, unauthorized by the Quran. It is mind boggling to witness this very so-called Islam bifurcate into two major sects (Sunni and Shia) and further degenerating into several byproducts beyond recognition (Salafi, Ahmedi, Hanafi, Sulemani, Wahabi, Bahaii, Dawoodi, Ismaili, etc, etc.).

The clever ?masses? have succeeded and have become the doctors and engineers of Religious Products to have accomplished their goals and being handsomely rewarded for their inventions and innovations by the mindless consumers enjoying such products, whilst the ?greenpies? are graduating in succession on a daily basis, following the footsteps of their masters, to take over their well defined claimed territories, enhancing, nurturing and furthering the already innovated. But as these ?greenpies? are mastering such traits, so are the genuine scientists painfully preparing and ever-ready with an antidote as ordained by GOD.

                          Lets witness the end result.
