Salam all,
In The Quran and in Arabic language, often there is a singular "you" and a plural "you".

Can you please elobrate the difference usage of the singular and plural?

In the Quran are there also ayat that is directed towards a certain groups/ individual and nobody else?

So if the ayat is directed towards The Prophet is it also applicable to everybody?

The reason I'm asking is that I noticed that most of the timed salat ayats are directed to second person singular, ie towards the Prophet.
So is the ayat directed towards the Prophet applicable to everyone?
ThanksI think most of the time the answer is yes, unless it state otherwise. For example in here,
3350 O prophet, We have made permissible for you the wives to whom you have already given their dowries, and the one committed to by your oath, as granted to you by God; and the daughters of your paternal uncle, and the daughters of your paternal aunts, and the daughters of your maternal uncle, and the daughters of your maternal aunts-those who emigrated with you. Also, the believing woman who had decreed herself to the prophet, the prophet may marry her if he wishes, as a privilege given only to you and not to the believers. We have already decreed their rights in regard to their spouses and those who are committed to by their oath. This is to spare you any hardship. God is Forgiver, Merciful.
But you can look at the context of the verses to be sure.
