    Salaamun alaikum,

Do you wipe over your footwear or at least believe it's allowed?

In Hafs recitation wiping head and feet is allowed.

In Warsh it states to wipe the head but wash feet. So here wiping isn't allowed.

I used the search function didn't see many topics for it.

        أرجلكم

It's a matter of Arabic diacritics of that word. If pronounced with kasra, as it comes in Hafs, it's wiping the feet. If it's recited with a fathah as in Warsh, then it's washing.

I agree it's to do with diacritics but the logic/flow of the verse implies wiping is correct, e.g. the parts that are washed are to be wiped with pure ground if no water.

It has been discussed a few times

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

"in context" how can it mean to "wash" feet?

            وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ

the oldest manuscript does have fatha over lam ("la&quot i.e. "arjulakum"
red dots may have been added later regardless if kasra "li" "arjulikum"

why not "wipe" head feet with moist hands from water used to "wash" face hands as stated?

                  Peace,

If I tell you what I do or think, is it capable of changing your belief on the matter so much that you follow my example?

                  Why or why not?

What is it that you do, and why do you do it that way? ... is a better question that you have the answer to already, or you would think so. So start there.

What do you do, and why?

The use of "bi" is a good point, as it is used when wiping is discussed, both for water and pure ground. Thus strengthens the argument for wiping feet not washing them.
